Description
請求項1は、軸体と、前記軸体の外周面に配置された、ペルフルオロアルキルスルホニル化合物を含有し、かつペルフルオロアルキルスルホニル化合物以外の導電性付与剤を無含有である導電性プライマー層と、前記導電性プライマー層の外周面に配置された弾性層とを備えて成り、
前記導電性プライマー層は、その厚さが0.01〜1.0μmである導電性ローラであり、
請求項2は、前記ペルフルオロアルキルスルホニル化合物は、ペルフルオロアルキルスルホンイミド及びその塩、ペルフルオロアルキルスルホン酸及びその塩、並びに、ペルフルオロアルキルジスルホン酸及びその塩からなる群より選択される少なくとも1種を含む請求項1に記載の導電性ローラであり、
請求項3は、前記ペルフルオロアルキルスルホニル化合物は、前記導電性プライマー層の質量に対して0.5〜50.0質量%の割合で含有されている請求項1又は2に記載の導電性ローラであり、
請求項4は、請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の導電性ローラを備えて成る現像装置であり、
請求項5は、請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の導電性ローラを備えて成る画像形成装置である。
ここで、Rは、同一又は異なっていてもよい、置換又は非置換の一価炭化水素基、好ましくは炭素原子数1〜12、より好ましくは炭素原子数1〜8の一価炭化水素基であり、nは1.95〜2.05の正数である。
下記組成の導電性プライマー層形成組成物を準備した。
・ビス(ペルフルオロブチルスルホニル)イミド:(C4F9SO2)2NH(品番「EF−N441」、三菱マテリアル電子化成株式会社製、疎水性)1質量部(導電性プライマー層形成組成物における揮発成分を除外した合計質量21質量部に対して5質量%)
・カーボンブラック等の導電性フィラー:0質量部
・シリコーン系プライマー(商品名「プライマーNo.16」、信越化学工業株式会社製、固形分濃度20質量%)100質量部
実施例1で製造した導電性ローラ1Aの外周面に絶縁性プライマー組成物としてのシリコーン系プライマー(商品名「プライマーNo.16」、信越化学工業株式会社製)を硬化後の厚さが0.5μmとなるようにスプレーコーティング法によって一回で塗布した。ギヤオーブンを用いて塗布したプライマー組成物を150℃の温度にて30分焼成処理した後、常温にて30分以上冷却して弾性層4の外周面に絶縁性プライマー層5を形成した。
<ウレタンコート層形成組成物の組成>
・ポリイソシアネート(日本ポリウレタン株式会社製、商品名:コロネート−LJ)10質量部
・ポリオール(ポリエステルポリオール、商品名「ニッポランNIPPOLLAN 139」、日本ポリウレタン株式会社製)30質量部(モル比(NCO/OH=1.05)
・導電性付与剤(商品名「EC600JD」、ライオン株式会社製、平均粒径34nm)5質量部
・トルエン2質量部
前記導電性プライマー層3を形成しなかったこと以外は実施例2と基本的に同様にして、軸体の外周面に弾性層が直接形成された比較例1の導電性ローラを製造した。
前記導電性プライマー層形成組成物に代えて絶縁性プライマー組成物としてのシリコーン系プライマー(商品名「プライマーNo.16」、信越化学工業株式会社製)を用いたこと以外は実施例2と基本的に同様にして、軸体と弾性層との間に絶縁性プライマー層を備えた比較例2の導電性ローラを製造した。
前記ビス(ペルフルオロブチルスルホニル)イミドに代えてカーボンブラック(商品名「EC600JD」、ライオン株式会社製、平均粒径34nm)を用いたこと以外は実施例2と基本的に同様にして比較例3の導電性ローラを製造した。
製造した導電性ローラ1B及び比較例1〜3の各導電性ローラを電子写真式プリンター(沖データ株式会社製、商品名:「MICROLINE 1032PS」、解像度1200dpi相当)の現像ローラとして装着し、この電子写真式プリンターを、温度49℃、相対湿度80%の高温高湿環境下に7日間静置した。その後、この高温高湿環境を維持したままA4用紙(JIS)にハーフトーン画像を1枚印刷し、印刷されたハーフトーン画像における印字濃度の均一性を目視で観察した。評価は、ハーフトーン画像に濃度ムラを確認できなかった場合を「◎」、ハーフトーン画像に十分に許容できる程度のわずかな濃度ムラが確認できた場合を「○」、許容できないほどの濃度ムラが確認できた場合を「×」とした。その結果を「濃度ムラ」として第1表に示す。
電子写真式プリンター(沖データ株式会社製、商品名:「MICROLINE 1032PS」、解像度1200dpi相当)の現像ローラとして製造した導電性ローラ1B及び比較例1〜3の各導電性ローラを装着し、この電子写真式プリンターを、温度20℃、相対湿度50%の環境下で黒ベタ印字画像を1枚印刷した。この黒ベタ印字において、黒ベタ印字の初期形成部分と終期形成部分との濃度をマクベス濃度計にて測定し、初期形成部分の印字濃度と終期形成部分の印字濃度との濃度差を算出した。評価は、濃度差が0.1未満であった場合を「◎」、濃度差が0.1以上0.2未満であった場合を「○」、濃度差が0.2以上であった場合を「×」とした。その結果を「濃度段差」として第1表に示す。このベタ画像の濃度差は0.1未満であれば実用上十分な特性を有するといえる。

- 軸体と、前記軸体の外周面に配置された、ペルフルオロアルキルスルホニル化合物を含有し、かつペルフルオロアルキルスルホニル化合物以外の導電性付与剤を無含有である導電性プライマー層と、前記導電性プライマー層の外周面に配置された弾性層とを備えて成り、
前記導電性プライマー層は、その厚さが0.01〜1.0μmである導電性ローラ。 - 前記ペルフルオロアルキルスルホニル化合物は、ペルフルオロアルキルスルホンイミド及びその塩、ペルフルオロアルキルスルホン酸及びその塩、並びに、ペルフルオロアルキルジスルホン酸及びその塩からなる群より選択される少なくとも1種を含む請求項1に記載の導電性ローラ。
- 前記ペルフルオロアルキルスルホニル化合物は、前記導電性プライマー層の質量に対して0.5〜50.0質量%の割合で含有されている請求項1又は2に記載の導電性ローラ。
- 請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の導電性ローラを備えて成る現像装置。
- 請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の導電性ローラを備えて成る画像形成装置。
