Claims (19)
- 被験者の脳震盪の有無および重症度を検出するための携帯装置であって、
脳の電気信号を検出するように構成された、被験者の前額部に取り付けられる10個未満の複数の電極を備えるヘッドセットと、
ヘッドセットに動作可能に結合された携帯型ベースユニットと
を備え、
ベースユニットが、
プロセッサと、
メモリであって、プロセッサに対し、検出された脳の電気信号上で、脳震盪の有無および重症度の判断に関する信号処理アルゴリズムを実行させる命令を含むメモリと、
脳震盪の有無および重症度を表示するインジケータと
を備える、携帯装置。 - 電極によって検出される脳の電気信号が、自発応答信号および誘発応答信号のうちの少なくとも一方である、請求項1に記載の携帯装置。
- 信号処理アルゴリズムが、検出された信号をノイズ除去し、ノイズ除去された信号から特徴を抽出し、抽出された特徴を分類するための判別関数を構築し、分類された特徴に基づいて脳震盪の有無および重症度を検出する、請求項1に記載の携帯装置。
- 信号処理アルゴリズムが、ウェーブレット、ウェーブレットパケット処理アルゴリズム、拡散ジオメトリ処理アルゴリズム、またはフラクタル処理アルゴリズムのうちの少なくとも1つを含む、請求項3に記載の携帯装置。
- インジケータが、画像ディスプレイを備える、請求項1に記載の携帯装置。
- 画像ディスプレイが、色分け表示を含む、請求項5に記載の携帯装置。
- 色分け表示が、
脳震盪が認められ重篤である場合に表示される赤表示と、
脳震盪の可能性があり、被験者により多くの検査が必要である場合に表示されるオレンジ表示と、
脳震盪が認められない場合に表示される緑色表示と
を含む、請求項6に記載の携帯装置。 - 画像ディスプレイが、液晶ディスプレイ(LCD)スクリーンを備え、LCDスクリーンが、脳震盪の有無、脳震盪の重症度、および脳震盪を起こしている脳の領域を示す被験者の脳の画像を表示することが可能である、請求項5に記載の携帯装置。
- 画像ディスプレイがさらに、メモリ内に記憶された、携帯装置を使用し操作するための対話式命令を表示する、請求項8に記載の携帯装置。
- 被験者の現場診断を行うための携帯装置の動作方法であって、
前記携帯装置が、
ベースユニットに結合された、被験者の前額部に取り付けられる10個未満の複数の電極を備える電極セットによって被験者から脳の電気信号を取得するステップと、
ベースユニットのメモリ内に記憶されている信号処理アルゴリズムを使用して、取得された脳の電気信号をベースユニットのプロセッサによって処理するステップと、
処理された信号から脳震盪の有無および重症度を判断するステップと、
ハンドヘルド型ベースユニット上に脳震盪の有無および重症度を表示するステップと、
表示に基づいて、被験者の治療方針を決定するステップと
を実行する、方法。 - 脳震盪の有無および重症度を判断するステップが、被験者に追加の検査を実施するステップをさらに含む、請求項10に記載の方法。
- 追加の検査を実施するステップが、被験者の音声または映像のうちの少なくとも一方を記録して所定の特徴を検出すること、神経認知の対話式検査を実施すること、バランス検査を実施すること、または被験者の意識を観察することのうちの少なくとも1つを実施するステップを含む、請求項11に記載の方法。
- 脳震盪の有無および重症度を判断するステップが、脳震盪指数を生成するステップをさらに含む、請求項10に記載の方法。
- 脳震盪指数が、脳震盪の頻度および被験者が受ける脳震盪の症状の重症度に基づいて、プロセッサによって生成される、請求項13に記載の方法。
- 生成された脳震盪指数を記憶するステップと、
記憶された脳震盪指数をリモートデータベースに無線で送信するステップと
をさらに含む、請求項14に記載の方法。 - 取得された信号を処理するステップが、
取得された信号をノイズ除去するステップと、
ノイズ除去された信号から所望の特徴を抽出するステップと、
抽出された特徴を分類するための判別関数を構築するステップと、
抽出された特徴を分類するステップと、
分類された特徴に基づいて、脳震盪の有無および重症度を表示するステップと
を含む、請求項10に記載の方法。 - 取得された信号を処理するステップが、取得された信号上で、ウェーブレット、ウェーブレットパケット処理アルゴリズム、拡散ジオメトリ処理アルゴリズム、またはフラクタル処理アルゴリズムのうちの少なくとも1つを実行するステップを含む、請求項10に記載の方法。
- ハンドヘルド型ベースユニット上に脳震盪の有無および重症度を表示するステップが、
頭部損傷が認められ重篤である場合に、赤色表示を表示するステップと、
頭部損傷および脳震盪の可能性があり、被験者により多くの検査が必要である場合に、オレンジ色表示を表示するステップと、
脳震盪が認められない場合に、緑色表示を表示するステップと
を含む、請求項10に記載の方法。 - ハンドヘルド型ベースユニット上に脳震盪の有無および重症度を表示するステップが、
