該取引口から後方に延出するとともに識別部が設けられる上側搬送経路と、
該上側搬送経路の前記取引口とは反対側の端部から下方かつ前方に折り返す転換搬送経路と、
該転換搬送経路の前記上側搬送経路とは反対側の端部から前方に延出する下側搬送経路と、
該下側搬送経路の前記転換搬送経路とは反対側の端部と前記上側搬送経路の前記取引口および前記識別部の間とを接続する接続搬送経路と、
前記下側搬送経路の下方に、該下側搬送経路に沿う水平方向に並設されて該下側搬送経路との間で紙幣を出し入れする複数の紙幣庫と、を有する紙幣入出金機であって、
前記複数の紙幣庫の後方に、新券紙幣専用の複数の新券収納庫が鉛直方向に直列状に配置されており、
これら新券収納庫との間で紙幣を出し入れする新券搬送経路が前記転換搬送経路に接続されていて、
前記識別部は、新券紙幣の劣化度合を評価する評価手段を備え、
前記新券収納庫に収納されるべき新券紙幣または前記新券収納庫から繰り出される新券紙幣を、前記評価手段が所定の劣化度合いを超えた紙幣と評価した場合に前記紙幣庫内へ搬送する制御手段を備えたことを特徴とする紙幣入出金機。
