Description

The present invention relates to a bill processing device.

Conventionally, at a window of a financial institution such as a bank, deposit transactions are conducted with customers. In particular, a large number of banknote deposit transactions are carried out at bank counters in countries with low monetary value. Banknotes of countries with low monetary value generally suffer from many stains and stains, and the existence of counterfeit tickets cannot be ignored.

For this reason, a bank counter requires a large number of man-hours to manually check a large number of banknotes one by one, sort them by denomination, and count the number of banknotes. It is an obstacle.

As a response to such a problem, it has become possible to mechanize the depositing work at the counter to make the work efficient. For example, in Patent Document 1, a teller, which is usually installed in a window and performs window operations, counts and sorts banknotes deposited by a customer, sorts and stores the banknotes in the apparatus by denomination, and stores in the apparatus. In order to pay out the banknotes to the customer, the teller counts the necessary number of money according to the type of money and releases it.

The collecting and conveying path 27 is a common conveying path before and after the collecting and identifying section 20, which is shared when the bills fed from the plurality of temporary holding sections are conveyed to the plurality of collecting sections (23 to 26). Good. Here, the bill processing unit 3 may count the number of bills of each type based on the type of bill determined by the collection and identification unit 11.

The temporary holding units (13 to 16) include an unfit banknote temporary holding unit (13) that stores the banknotes that are determined to be unfit banknotes by the deposit identification unit and a genuine ticket temporary holding unit (14 that stores the banknotes that are determined to be genuine notes. To 16) are included. The collecting unit (23 to 26) collects and stores the unfit bills conveyed from the unfit bill temporary holding unit (13) by the collecting and conveying path 27, the unfit bill collecting cassette 23, and the temporary holding unit (14 to 16) Banknotes that are conveyed from 16), and are rejected banknote collection unit 24 that collects and stores banknotes that have been determined to be abnormal by collection identification unit 20 and is temporarily transferred from temporary holding units (14 to 16) that store genuine bills. It includes banknote bandage collection units 25 and 26 that stack and store banknotes that have been determined to be normal by the collection and identification unit 20 and bandage them. It should be noted that there may be a plurality of unsuccessful note temporary holding units 13.

Further, the upside-down reversing unit 21 that aligns the top and bottom of the banknotes that are conveyed based on the direction that is the type of banknote determined by the recovery identification unit 20, and the front-back reversal unit 22 that aligns the front and back, the recovery identification unit 20 and the recovery unit ( 23 to 26) on the collecting and conveying path. The collection conveyance path 27 has a path for directly conveying the banknotes from the collection identification section 20 downstream and the upstream side of the upside-down reversing section 21 and the front-back reversing section 22, and a path passing through the upside-down reversing section 21 and the front-back reversing section 22. And join at the upstream of the collection unit (23 to 26) and the downstream of the upside-down inversion unit 21 and the front/back inversion unit 22.

The banknote banding/collecting units 25, 26 are storage units 25A, 26A for accumulating the banknotes conveyed through the collecting/conveying path 27 until a predetermined number of bandages are bundled, and banding for banding the banknotes having the predetermined number of bandages accumulated. The units 25B and 26B and the storage units 25E and 26E that store the banknote bundles banded by the band sealing units 25B and 26B are included.

FIG. 2 shows a side view of the banknote handling machine 1. Below, it demonstrates centering around a different part from the above-mentioned common structure.
The banknote processing unit 3 according to the first embodiment collectively moves the banknotes accumulated in the temporary holding units 13 to 16 to the banknote recovery cassettes 100 to 103 (for example, collectively presses the accumulated banknotes). A moving pressing plate or an end face belt that contacts the end face of the bill and moves the bill).
Further, as described above, the banknote collection cassettes 100 to 103 are configured to be detachable from the banknote processing unit 3. More specifically, each of the banknote collection cassettes 100 to 103 is configured to be attachable to and detachable from the corresponding temporary holding sections 13 to 16 respectively. Moreover, each banknote collection cassette 100-103 is comprised so that attachment or detachment is possible individually.

Next, the operation of the first embodiment will be described. First, the deposit operation will be described. In the deposit operation, the banknote processing unit 3 carries the banknotes in the deposit port 10 to the temporary holding units 13 to 16 and determines the number of deposited banknotes.

More specifically, the customer 8 sets the banknote 5 to be deposited into the deposit port 10. Then, the teller 7 operates the terminal 6 to separate the set bills 5 one by one by the feeding unit 10 and feed the bills 5 to the deposit conveyance path 17. The payout identification unit 11 determines the type (denomination, authenticity, stain, conveyance state, etc.) of the banknote 5 that has been fed out, and the transfer destination is determined based on the banknote type.

The deposit conveyance path 17 conveys the normally determined banknote 5 based on the type of banknote determined by the deposit identification unit 11 to a temporary holding unit (13 to 16) that stores the banknote of the type. The temporary holding units (13 to 16) at the destination of the conveyance accumulate the conveyed bills. In addition, the deposit conveyance path 17 conveys the banknote 5 that has been determined to be abnormal based on the type of banknote determined by the deposit identification unit 11 to the return port unit 12 that is a transfer destination that stores the banknote of that type. The customer 8 removes the banknote conveyed to the return port 12. The removed banknotes can be recounted by the customer 8 resetting the banknotes in the deposit opening 10.

When all the banknotes 5 in the deposit port 10 have been counted, the process ends, the count result is reported to the terminal 6, and the count result is displayed on the display unit 2. When the deposit amount and the counting result match, the customer 8 presses a confirmation key (not shown) to confirm the counting result. If they do not match, the banknotes in the temporary holding units 13 to 16 are returned to the customer 8. Note that the counting result may include the number of banknotes of each type stored in the temporary holding unit (13 to 16) or the return port unit 12, and the total amount of the banknotes stored in the temporary holding unit.

Here, the conveyance of the normally determined banknote to the temporary holding unit (13 to 16) will be described in detail.
When the plurality of temporary storage units 13 to 16 of the banknote processing unit 3 have a plurality of temporary storage units (13 to 16) that store the same type of banknotes, the banknote processing unit 3 determines whether there is an empty temporary storage unit. If there is an empty temporary holding unit, the banknote is conveyed to the temporary holding unit. If there is no empty temporary holding unit (13 to 16), the deposit operation is stopped until the collection operation is completed.

In one deposit transaction, the banknote processing unit 3 conveys a banknote to another temporary holding unit (13 to 16) when storing a predetermined number or more of the temporary holding units (13 to 16). You can do it. In this case, by accepting the confirmation of the counting result every time a predetermined number of sheets are stored in one temporary holding unit, the next temporary holding unit is operated in parallel with the collecting operation from one temporary holding unit. It becomes possible to carry out the deposit operation of the banknote into the. That is, it is possible to perform parallel processing of the collecting operation and the depositing operation with a small number of temporary holding units. Note that the operation of depositing a bill into the next temporary holding unit may be continued even while waiting for acceptance of confirmation of the counting result.

Further, in one deposit transaction, when the banknote processing unit 3 stores a predetermined number or more of sheets in one temporary holding unit (13 to 16), each time the banknote processing unit 3 stores a predetermined number of sheets in one temporary holding unit. After storing the banknotes in the next temporary holding section and storing all the banknotes received in the deposit transaction in the plurality of temporary holding sections, or after all the temporary holding sections (13 to 16) have a predetermined amount. When the number of sheets exceeds the number, acceptance of confirmation of the counting result may be performed. Since it is possible to reduce the number of acceptances of confirmation of the counting result during the deposit transaction, it is possible to reduce the burden on the customer.

Next, the collecting operation for moving the bills stored in the temporary holding unit to the collecting unit will be described. When the bill processing unit 3 receives the confirmation of the counting result, the collection moving units (120 to 123) collectively move the bills accumulated in the temporary holding units 13 to 16 to the bill collection cassettes 100 to 103. The collecting operation may be performed when the confirmation of the counting result is received. Note that the bill processing unit 3 may determine the presence or absence of the bill collecting cassettes 100 to 103 during the collecting operation, and if there is no bill collecting cassette, may notify the outside (for example, the terminal 6) of a warning.

Next, the operation of taking out the collected banknotes from the banknote processing unit 3 will be described.
The teller 7 takes out the banknote collecting cassettes 100 to 103 by the drawer of the banknote processing unit 3 and hands it over to a person who collects the banknotes together with the bill in which the denomination, the number and the amount of money stored by the slip issuing unit (not shown) are printed. .. The bill may include a banknote processing device identification number for each banknote processing device and a recovery cassette identification number for each recovery cassette. Further, the information of the slip may be transmitted to the outside connected to the banknote processing apparatus 1 (for example, a host server connected to the banknote processing apparatus or a device for counting the contents of the collection cassette).

Further, when any of the banknote collection cassettes 100 to 103 is full or near full during the depositing work, the teller 7 pulls out the banknote collection cassettes 100 to 103 from the rear of the apparatus and replaces it with an empty cassette. Even in this case, since the deposit path and the banknote collection cassettes 100 to 103 are independent of each other, there is no influence on the deposit operation and they can be replaced.

In addition, in Example 1, although the pressing plate and the end surface belt are described as the collecting and moving unit, the collecting and conveying path for conveying the bills corresponds to the temporary holding units 13 to 15 and the temporary holding units 13 to 15, respectively. The collecting units 100 to 103 may be connected in a one-to-one connection. In this case, the payout of the banknotes from the temporary holding units 13 to 15 to the collecting and conveying path may be the same as that of the payout units 113 to 116 of the second embodiment.

FIG. 3 is a side view of the banknote handling machine according to the second embodiment. Below, it demonstrates centering around the part which is different from Example 1 and the common structure mentioned above.
The deposit operation of the second embodiment will be described. In the deposit operation, the banknote processing unit 3 carries the banknotes in the deposit port 10 to the temporary storage unit 13 to 16 and determines the number of deposited banknotes.

More specifically, the customer 8 sets the banknote 5 to be deposited into the deposit port 10. Then, the teller 7 operates the terminal 6 to separate the set bills 5 one by one by the feeding unit 10 and feed the bills 5 to the deposit conveyance path 17. For the fed-out banknote 5, the type of banknote (denomination, authenticity, stain, transportation state, etc.) is determined by the deposit identification unit 11, and the transfer destination is determined based on the determined type of banknote. ..

Based on the type of banknote determined by the deposit identification unit 11, the deposit conveyance route 17 conveys an unfit banknote that is normal but is a dirty bill to the temporary holding unit 13 by the conveyance unit configuring the deposit conveyance route 17. .. The temporary holding unit 13 at the transport destination accumulates the transported bills. Based on the type of banknote determined by the deposit identification unit 11, the deposit conveyance route 17 conveys the genuine bill, which is determined to be normal and is not a dirty bill, to the temporary storage units 14 to 16 by the deposit conveyance route 17. The temporary holding units 14 to 16 at the transfer destination accumulate the transferred banknotes. Further, the deposit conveyance path 17 is based on the type of the banknote determined by the deposit identification unit 11, and transfers the banknote 5 that has been determined to be abnormal by the deposit identification unit 11 to the return port unit 12 that is a destination for storing the banknote of the type. Transport.

When the deposit amount matches the counting result, the customer 8 confirms by pressing a confirmation key (not shown). If they do not match, the banknotes in the temporary holding units 13 to 16 are returned to the customer 8. Note that the counting result may include the number of banknotes of each type stored in the temporary holding units 13 to 16 or the return port unit 12, and the total amount of the banknotes stored in the temporary holding unit.

Here, a detailed description will be given of the transportation of the genuine banknotes that have been determined to be normal to the temporary holding units 14 to 16.

When the plurality of temporary storage units 14 to 16 of the banknote processing unit 3 have a plurality of temporary storage units 14 to 16 that store the same type of banknotes, the banknote processing unit 3 determines whether there is an empty temporary storage unit, If there is an empty temporary holding unit, the banknote is conveyed to the temporary holding unit. If there are no empty temporary holding units 14 to 16, the deposit operation is stopped until the collection operation is completed.

Further, in one deposit transaction, the banknote processing unit 3 may convey the banknotes to the other temporary holding units 14 to 16 when the number of sheets of the one temporary holding unit 14 to 16 or more is stored. The same control may be performed by providing a plurality of temporary holding units 13 for storing unfit notes.

In addition, in one deposit transaction, when the banknote processing unit 3 stores a predetermined number or more of sheets in one temporary holding unit 14 to 16, each time the banknote processing unit 3 stores a predetermined number of sheets in one temporary holding unit, After controlling the banknotes to be stored in the next temporary holding section and storing all the banknotes received in the deposit transaction into a plurality of temporary holding sections, or after all the temporary holding sections 14 to 16 have a predetermined number of sheets or more. At that time, acceptance of confirmation of the counting result may be carried out. Since it is possible to reduce the number of acceptances of confirmation of the counting result during the deposit transaction, it is possible to reduce the burden on the customer.

Next, the recovery operation will be described. When the bill processing unit 3 detects pressing of the confirmation key, the bills 5 in the unfit bill temporary storage unit 13 are separated one by one by the feeding unit 113 and fed to the collecting and conveying path 27. The collection/conveyance path 27 conveys the fed-out banknotes to the unsuccessful note collection cassette 23 through a route bypassing the top/bottom reversing unit 21 and the front/back reversing unit 22 by discriminating the denomination, the number of coins, and the like by the collection identifying unit 20. .. The uncollectible note collecting cassette 23 collects and stores the banknotes conveyed by the collecting and conveying path 27.

Subsequently, the banknote processing unit 3 separates the banknotes 5 stored in the temporary storage unit 14 one by one by the feeding unit 114 and feeds them to the collecting and conveying path 27. The collection conveyance path 27 conveys the bill to the collection identification unit 20. The collection identification unit 20 determines the type of banknote conveyed by the collection conveyance path 27. The collecting/conveying path 27 is provided to the reject banknote collecting unit 24 or the banknote bandage collecting units 25, 26 that stores the banknotes of the type based on the determined banknote type (for example, denomination, number, direction, and transport state). Carry bills. The reject banknote collecting unit 24 or the banknote band seal collecting units 25, 26 stores the banknotes conveyed by the collecting and conveying path 27. In addition, after the collection/identification unit 20 determines the type of the bill, the collection/conveyance path 27 passes through the top/bottom inversion unit 21 and the front/back flip unit 22 to change the direction of the banknote by the top/bottom flip unit 21/the front/back flip unit 22. The sheets are aligned and conveyed to the reject bill collecting unit 24 or the bill bandage collecting units 25 and 26. At this time, when the bill processing unit 3 determines that it is not necessary to change the direction of the bill based on the type of bill discriminated by the collection identification unit 20, a route that bypasses the upside-down reversing unit 21 and the front-back reversing unit 22. The bills may be stored in the reject bill collection unit 24 or the bill band seal collection units 25 and 26.

When the banknote processing unit 3 detects that the unfit banknote temporary holding unit 13 and the temporary holding unit 14 are empty, the bill processing unit 3 may be able to accept the next transaction.

Next, a specific example of banknotes that are judged to be abnormal by the collection and identification section 20 and are stored in the reject banknote collection unit 24 will be shown. Abnormal conveyance such as double feeding (a state in which a plurality of sheets are conveyed in an overlapping manner), skew (a state in which the banknotes are significantly inclined and conveyed), abnormal intervals (a state in which the gap between the banknotes is extremely short) in the collection identification unit 20 The banknotes that have been determined to be and banknotes of denominations that are not the banding target are collected and stored in the reject banknote collection unit 24. Next, a specific example of banknotes that are determined to be normal by the recovery identification unit 20 and stored in the banknote bandage recovery units 25 and 26 will be described. By the collection identification unit 20, the banknote processing unit 3 collects and stores, in the banknote bandage collection unit 25, banknotes of the denomination A, which is the maximum circulation amount of the denominations, and is not abnormal, and is stored in the banknote band processing unit 3. It is also possible to perform control so that banknotes of the denomination B, which has the second largest circulation amount among the banknotes, and that are not abnormal are accumulated and stored in the banknote band seal collection unit 26.

The banknote processing unit 3 may be able to change the type of banknotes collected in the collection unit based on the type of banknotes input from the outside or the type of banknotes stored in the temporary storage unit. For example, when banknotes of two denominations are stored in a certain temporary holding section, the banknote bandage collection units 25 and 26 are set to store different denomination banknotes, and one temporary holding section holds one banknote. When the banknotes of the seeds are stored, the banknote bandage collecting units 25 and 26 may be set to store the denominations. When three or more banknote band seal collection units 25 and 26 are provided, one denomination may be stored in one and the other denomination may be stored in two. By storing the same type of banknotes in a plurality of banknote bandage recovery units, it is possible to effectively use the empty recovery section and improve the efficiency of the recovery operation.

Next, a bill bundling operation in the bill bundling and collecting units 25 and 26 will be described.
The banknote processing unit 3 accumulates the banknotes 5 conveyed by the collecting and conveying path 27 in the holding units 25A and 26A of the banknote bandage collecting units 25 and 26. When the number of stacked sheets reaches a predetermined number (for example, 100 sheets) of banknotes, the banknote processing unit 3 temporarily stops the collecting operation by the feeding units 113 to 116 and the collecting and conveying path 27, and holds the banknote banding and collecting units 25 and 26. The banknotes 25A and 26A are moved to the band-sealing parts 25B and 26B, respectively, by a method not shown. When the bill processing unit 3 detects that the bundle of bills has been moved to the band sealing units 25B and 26B, the bill processing unit 3 restarts the collecting operation by the feeding units 113 to 116 and the collecting and conveying path 27. Further, the banknote processing unit 3 moves and stores the banknotes in the respective storage units 25E and 26E after performing the banknote sealing process on the moved band sealing units 25B and 26B.

In addition, when 100 sheets are accumulated in the holding section 25A of the banknote bandage collection unit 25, the transport destination of the banknote A is switched to the banknote bandage collection unit 26, and the banknote bandage collection unit 26 collects 100 banknotes. By moving the banknotes in the holding section 25A of the collecting unit 25 to the band-sealing section 25B, the banknote band-seal collecting unit 25 can accumulate the next banknote. This operation is the same even if the bill bandage collection unit 25 and the bill bandage collection unit 26 are reversed. By operating in this way, it becomes possible to continuously carry out the banknote transportation in the collecting operation without temporarily stopping.

Subsequently, the banknotes in the temporary holding units 15 and 16 are processed similarly to the temporary holding unit 14.
Although the deposit process is repeated, the teller 7 pulls out the unfit bill collecting cassette 23 from the rear of the device and replaces it with an empty cassette when the unfit bill collecting cassette 23 becomes full or near full during the depositing work. When the rejected banknote collection unit 24 is full or near full, the rejected banknote is pulled out, and when the storage parts 25E, 26E of the banknote bandage recovery unit 25, 26 are full or near full, the banded banknotes are extracted and stored. To do. When the banknote processing unit 3 detects a predetermined amount (full or near full) of the storage units 25E and 26E of the above-described unfit banknote collection cassette 23, reject banknote collection unit 24, and banknote band seal collection unit 25/26 by the sensor. Alternatively, the terminal 6 may be notified of information indicating that the predetermined amount has been reached. Further, at this time, the information may be notified so that which collection unit has reached a predetermined amount.

Even when the collection unit detects a predetermined amount, the bill processing unit 3 suspends the collection operation because the deposit path and the collection path are separated, but it is possible to continue the deposit operation.

Next, the rearrangement counting operation will be described. The rearrangement counting operation is an operation of recounting and banding the banknotes stored in the reject banknote recovery unit 24 in the above-described recovery operation and determined to be abnormal in conveyance and the banknotes of denominations not targeted for banding. The bill processing unit 3 may accept from the terminal 6 the selection of the deposit/collection mode for depositing and collecting or the sorting counting mode for sorting counting. The bill processing apparatus 3 performs the sorting counting operation when the terminal 6 receives the sorting counting mode.

例えば、帯封対象外の金種を5金種とし、夫々金種C〜G(入金取引における帯封対象金種A・Bと合わせて全7金種)として以下具体的に説明する。
For example, the denominations that are not subject to banding will be five denominations, and denominations C to G (7 denominations in total including denominations A and B subject to banding in deposit transactions) will be specifically described below.
The teller 7 sets the banknotes, which have been determined to be abnormal in conveyance, and which are stored in the reject banknote collection unit 24 taken out of the apparatus, and the banknotes of denominations which are not the banding target, into the deposit port 10. After that, the teller 7 operates the terminal 6 to separate the set bills one by one by the feeding unit 10 and feed the bills to the deposit conveyance path 17. The deposit conveyance path 17 conveys the bills 5 fed out to the deposit identification unit 11. The deposit identification unit 11 determines the type (for example, denomination/conveyance state) of banknotes conveyed by the deposit conveyance path 17. The deposit conveyance path 17 conveys the bill to the temporary holding units 13 to 16 that store the bill based on the type of the bill discriminated by the deposit identifying unit 11.

The banknote processing unit 3, for example, accumulates the denominations A and B determined to be normal by the deposit identification unit 11 in the unfit banknote temporary holding unit 13 (not the unfit banknotes), and determines the denomination C to be normal. D is accumulated in the temporary holding unit 14, denominations E and F determined to be normal are accumulated in the temporary retaining unit 15, denominations G determined to be normal are accumulated in the temporary retaining unit 16 and abnormal determination is made. The banknotes 5 are accumulated in the return port section 12. The bills accumulated in the return slot 12 are taken out by the teller 7. The bills taken out by the teller 7 can be re-counted by resetting them in the deposit port 10.

Next, the banknote processing unit 3 separates the banknotes 5 of denominations A and B in the unpaid bill temporary storage unit 13 one by one by the feeding unit 113 and feeds them to the collecting and conveying path. The collecting and conveying path 27 conveys the banknotes fed by the feeding unit 113 to the collecting and identifying unit 20. The recovery identification unit 20 determines the type (for example, denomination, direction, transport state, etc.) of the banknotes transported by the recovery transport path 27. The collection/conveyance path 27 is a reject banknote collection unit 24 that stores the banknote type by aligning the banknote directions by the top/bottom inversion section 21 and the front/back inversion section 22 based on the banknote type determined by the recovery identification section 20. The banknotes are conveyed to the banknote bandage collection units 25 and 26. The reject banknote collecting unit 24 or the banknote band seal collecting units 25, 26 stores the banknotes conveyed by the collecting and conveying path 27.

An example of the banknotes stored in the reject banknote recovery unit 24 or the banknote bandage recovery units 25 and 26 in the sorting and counting operation is shown. For example, in the reject bill collecting unit 24, the collection identifying unit 20 performs multi-feeding (a state in which a plurality of sheets are overlapped and conveyed), skew (a state in which bills are significantly inclined and conveyed), and abnormal spacing (a gap between bills and bills). Banknotes that have been determined to be abnormally conveyed, such as when the bill is extremely short) are collected and stored. The banknote band seal collection unit 25 collects and stores banknotes of denomination A and having no abnormal conveyance. The banknote band seal collection unit 26 collects and stores banknotes of the denomination B and having no conveyance abnormality in the banknote band seal collection unit 26.

The banknotes of denominations A and B that have been conveyed to the banknote banding and collecting unit 25/26 are subjected to banknote banding processing in the same manner as in the collecting operation and then moved to and housed in the respective storage units 25E/26E.

Subsequently, the banknotes C and D accumulated in the temporary holding unit 14 are similarly processed. The banknote processing unit 3 transfers the banknotes determined by the recovery identification unit 20 to be abnormal to the reject banknote recovery unit 24, transfers the banknotes determined to be abnormal to the denomination C to the banknote bandage recovery unit 25, and is not abnormal to transfer. The banknote determined to be the denomination D is transported to the banknote bandage collection unit 26, and is accumulated, banded, and stored. Further, the banknotes E and F accumulated in the temporary holding unit 15 are similarly processed. The banknote processing unit 3 transfers a banknote determined by the recovery identification unit 20 to be abnormal to the reject banknote recovery unit 24, a banknote that is not abnormal to transfer to the banknote bandage recovery unit 25, and is not abnormal to transfer. The banknotes determined to be the denomination F are transported to the banknote bandage collection unit 26, and are collected, banded, and stored. Further, the banknotes G accumulated in the temporary holding unit 16 are similarly processed. The banknote processing unit 3 conveys a banknote determined to be abnormal in conveyance by the collection identification unit 20 to the reject banknote collection unit 24, and a banknote determined to be not abnormal in conveyance to the banknote bandage collection unit 25, and stacks, bandages, and stores the banknote. By operating as described above, it is possible to band many types of banknotes (for example, 7 types).

FIG. 4 is a side view of the banknote handling machine according to the third embodiment. Hereinafter, the description will be focused on the parts different from the above description.

The banknote processing unit 3 of the third embodiment has the same structure as that of the second embodiment (FIG. 4), and branches from the deposit identification unit 11 of the deposit conveyance path 17 downstream of the deposit identification unit and upstream of the temporary storage unit to the collection identification unit 20 downstream. The bypass transport path 18 is directly connected to the transport path 27 (without a temporary holding unit). The operation of the third embodiment will be described below.

Since the depositing operation and the collecting operation of the third embodiment are the same as those of the second embodiment, the description thereof will be omitted, and only the rearranging counting operation having a part different from the second embodiment will be described. The rearrangement counting operation is an operation of recounting and bundling the banknotes stored in the reject banknote collection unit 24 in the collecting operation and determined to be abnormal conveyance and the banknotes of denominations other than the banding target as in the second embodiment.

Similar to the second embodiment, the denominations that are not subject to banding are 5 denominations, and the respective denominations C to G (7 denominations in total including denominations A and B subject to banding in the deposit transaction) are specifically described below. To do.

The teller 7 takes out the banknotes stored in the reject banknote recovery unit 24, which are determined to be abnormal in conveyance, and the banknotes of denominations that are not the banding target, and sets them in the deposit port 10. Then, the teller 7 operates the terminal 6 to separate the set bills one by one by the feeding unit 10 and feed the bills to the deposit conveyance path 17. The deposit conveyance path 17 conveys the bills 5 fed out to the deposit identification unit 11. The deposit discriminating unit 11 discriminates the type (for example, denomination/conveyance state) of banknotes conveyed by the deposit conveying path 17. The deposit conveyance path 17 conveys the bill to the temporary holding units 13 to 16 or the collecting unit that stores the bill based on the type of the bill discriminated by the deposit identifying unit 11.

The deposit conveyance path 17 conveys, for example, the denomination A determined to be normal by the deposit identification unit 11 to the bypass conveyance path 18. Then, the bypass transport path 18 directly transports the banknotes transported through the deposit transport path 17 (without passing through the temporary storage units 13 to 16) to the recovery transport path 27. The collecting/conveying path 27 conveys the banknotes to the banknote band seal collecting units 25/26 by aligning the direction of the banknotes via the upside-down inverting section 21 and the front/back inverting section 22. The banknote banding and collecting units 25 and 26 collect, bandage, and store the banknotes conveyed through the collecting and conveying path 27 in the same manner as the banding operation of the second embodiment. On the other hand, the banknote processing unit 3 accumulates the denominations B determined to be normal by the deposit identification unit 11 in the temporary holding unit 13, and the denominations C determined to be normal in the temporary holding unit 14, and determines that the denominations are normal. The determined denominations D and E are accumulated in the temporary holding unit 15, and the denominations F and G determined to be normal are accumulated in the temporary holding unit 16. Further, the banknote processing unit 3 conveys the banknote 5 that has been determined to be abnormal by the deposit identifying unit 11 to the return port unit 12. The teller 7 pulls out the bills conveyed to the return port section 12. The bills extracted by the teller 7 can be recounted by the teller 7 resetting the bills in the deposit opening 10.

Subsequently, the banknote processing unit 3 separates the banknotes 5 of the denomination B accumulated in the unfit banknote temporary storage unit 13 into individual sheets by the delivery unit 113 and delivers them to the recovery conveyance path 27. The collecting and conveying path 27 conveys the fed-out banknotes to the collecting and identifying section 20. The recovery identification unit 20 determines the type (denomination, direction, transportation state, etc.) of banknotes transported by the recovery transportation path 27. In the recovery/conveyance path 27, the banknotes determined to be abnormal transfer notes by the recovery identification unit 20 are transferred to the reject banknote recovery unit 24, and the banknotes determined to be the normal banknote denomination B are transferred to the banknote bandage recovery units 25 and 26. Transport. The banknote collecting unit 24 stores the banknotes conveyed by the collecting and conveying path 27, similarly to the denomination A. In addition, the banknote banding and collecting units 25 and 26 store the banknotes conveyed by the collecting and conveying path 27 in the same manner as the denomination A and perform the banding operation. Subsequently, the denomination C in the temporary holding unit 14 also performs the same process as the denomination B.

Further, the banknotes of denominations D and E in the temporary holding section 15 and the denominations F and G of the temporary holding section 16 are similarly processed and banded, but the denominations D and E in the temporary holding section 15 are The transfer destinations of the normal bills for the bills of denominations F and G in the temporary holding unit 16 are the bill band seal collection units 25 and 26, respectively. In this case, since the banknote band seal collection units 25 and 26 are dedicated to each denomination, the banknote processing unit 3 collects the banknotes stored in the holding units 25A and 26A while moving the banknotes to the band seal units 25B and 26B. The operation will be temporarily stopped.

By the above operation, it is possible to band the bills of all the denominations of the embodiment, but the denomination A does not pass through the temporary holding unit as compared with the second embodiment, and thus the processing time can be shortened. Further, regarding the denominations B and C, it is not necessary to temporarily stop the transportation at the time of banding, and the processing time can be further shortened.

5: shows an example of the side view of the banknote processing apparatus of Example 4. FIG. Hereinafter, the description will be focused on the parts different from the above description.
The banknote processing unit 3 of the fourth embodiment is the same as the banknote processing unit 3 of the third embodiment (FIG. 4), except that the collecting/connecting transport path 28 and the denomination stacker units 41 to 47 for storing banknotes by denomination are added. The collection connection conveyance path 28 is a bidirectional conveyance path that connects the collection conveyance path 27 and the denomination-type stacker units 41 to 47, and is a collection identification section 20 of the collection conveyance path 27 and a branch section B1 downstream of the collection section. And the collection identification section 20 of the collection conveyance path 27 and the branch section B2 upstream of the temporary storage section. As shown in FIG. 6A, the recovery connection transport path 28 is based on the type of banknote that the recovery identification unit 20 has determined for the banknotes transported by the recovery transport path 27 via the above-described downstream branch portion B1. The bills are conveyed to the denomination-type stacker units 41 to 47 that store the bills of that type.

Further, as shown in FIG. 6B, the recovery connection transport path 28 transports the banknotes delivered from the denomination-type stacker units 41 to 47 to the recovery transport path 27 via the upstream branching unit B2. The denomination-type stacker units 41 to 47 can temporarily store the bills conveyed by the collection connection conveyance path 28 and feed them to the collection connection conveyance path 28. The denomination-type stacker units 41 to 47 have a capacity to store banknotes of which the number is equal to or larger than the number of banded sheets.

Then, operation|movement of Example 4 is demonstrated. Since the depositing operation is the same as that of the second embodiment, the description thereof will be omitted and only the collecting operation having a part different from that of the second embodiment will be described.

Subsequently, the bills 5 in the temporary holding unit 14 are separated one by one by the feeding unit 114 and fed to the collecting and conveying path 27. The banknote processing unit 3 switches the branching portion B1 of the recovery connection transport path 28 to the transport direction to the denomination-type stacker units 41 to 47 shown in FIG. 6A. The fed-out bills pass through the collection identification unit 20, determine the denomination, the number of sheets, the direction, and the conveyance state, and the bills are aligned in the direction via the upside-down reversing unit 21 and the front-back reversing unit 22, and the abnormal conveyance bill is lost. The normal bills are conveyed/stored in the bill collecting cassette 23, and the normal bills are collected/stored in the denomination stacker units 41 to 47 corresponding to the denominations of the bills 5 via the collecting/connecting and conveying path 28.

The collecting/conveying path 27 or the collecting/connecting conveying path 28 is based on the discriminated banknote type (for example, denomination, number, direction, conveyance state, etc.), and is a reject banknote collection unit 24 or a banknote for storing the banknote of the type. The banknotes are conveyed to the type stacker units 41 to 47. The reject banknote collecting unit 24 or the denomination-type stacker units 41 to 47 stores the banknotes conveyed by the collecting and conveying path 27 or the collecting and connecting conveying path 28. Here, the banknote processing unit 3 conveys the banknotes, which the collecting and identifying unit 20 has determined to be abnormally conveyed, to the reject banknote collecting unit 24 through the collecting and conveying path 27, and the banknotes, which the collecting and identifying unit 20 has determined to be normal, The collection conveyance path 27 and the collection connection conveyance path 28 convey the banknotes of the type to the denomination-type stacker units 41 to 47. The banknote processing unit 3 switches the branch portion B1 of the recovery connection transfer path 28 to the banknote recovery unit 24 when the banknotes are transferred to the reject banknote recovery unit 24, and the recovery connection transfer path when the banknotes are transferred to the denomination stacker units 41 to 47. The branching portion B1 of 28 is switched to the conveying direction to the denomination type stacker portions 41 to 47.

The banknote processing unit 3 has a detection unit (for example, an optical sensor) that detects the predetermined number of sheets (for example, full or near full) of the denomination type stacker units 41 to 47 in each of the denomination type stacker units 41 to 47. When a predetermined number of sheets or more are detected, the destination of the denomination is switched from the denomination stacker units 41 to 47 to one of the banknote band seal collection units 25 and 26. When one of the banknote band seal collection units 25 and 26 is processing another denomination or when the banknotes are being transferred from the holding units 25A and 26A to the band sealing units 25B and 26B, the banknote processing unit 3 moves to the other. Banknotes may be transported. When both of the banknote band seal collection units 25 and 26 are processing other denominations or moving banknotes from the holding units 25A and 26A to the band sealing units 25B and 26B, the banknote processing unit 3 transfers the banknotes from the temporary holding unit 14. The transportation of bills to the bandage collection units 25 and 26 may be temporarily stopped.

The bill banding operation of the bill banding collection units 25 and 26 is almost the same as that of the second embodiment, but when the bills are conveyed from the temporary holding unit 14 to the bill banding collection units 25 and 26, the holding unit of the bill banding collection units 25 and 26 is performed. There are cases where the number of banknotes of 25A and 26A is less than 100 banded sheets. In this case, the banknote processing unit 3 switches the branching portion B2 of the recovery connection transport path 28 to the feeding direction from the denomination type stacker units 41 to 47 shown in FIG. 6B, and the denomination type stacker storing the type of bills. From any of the units 41 to 47, the number of sheets insufficient for banding is fed out, and the banknote bandage collecting units 25 and 26 are replenished through the collection connection conveying path 28, the collection conveying path 27 and the collection identifying section 20 to complete banding. You may let me.

Further, when the number of stored bill-type stacker units 41 to 47 exceeds the predetermined number (for example, 100) of the number of banded sheets, the banknote processing unit 3 branches the branching unit B1 of the recovery connection conveyance path 28. Is switched to the banknote bandage collection units 25 and 26, and the branch portion B2 of the collection connection conveyance path 28 is switched to the feeding direction from the denomination type stacker units 41 to 47 shown in FIG. 6B. Then, the banknote processing unit 3 feeds the number of banded sheets from the stacking units 41 to 47 of the denominations for storing the banknotes of the types that are processed by the banknote banding and collecting units 25 and 26 in the same manner, the collecting connection conveying path 28, and the collecting and conveying process. The bill bandage collection units 25 and 26 are replenished through the path 27 and the collection identification unit 20 to complete the bandage. In this way, when the holding units 25A and 26A of the bill bandage collection units 25 and 26 are empty and the number of stored bills of the denomination-type stacker units 41 to 47 is less than the number of bandages, the bill processing unit 3 is Then, the banknotes 5 in the temporary holding section 14 are restarted to be carried by the collecting and carrying path 27, and the collecting operation is performed until the temporary holding section 14 becomes empty. Then, the banknotes of the temporary holding unit 15 and the temporary holding unit 16 are processed in the same manner as the temporary holding unit 14.

Next, the rearrangement counting operation will be described. Also in the present embodiment, the denominations of the deposited banknotes will be described as seven denominations A to G as in the third embodiment.
The teller 7 sets the banknotes of the seven denominations in the deposit port 10. Then, the teller 7 operates the terminal 6 to separate the set bills 5 one by one by the feeding unit 10 and feed the bills 5 to the deposit conveyance path 17.

The deposit conveyance path 17 conveys, for example, the banknotes of the denominations A to G, which are determined to be normal by the deposit identification unit 11, to the collection conveyance path 27. The banknote processing unit 3 switches the branching portion B1 of the recovery connection transport path 28 to the transport direction to the denomination-type stacker units 41 to 47 shown in FIG. 6A. The collecting/conveying path 27 aligns the banknotes through the upside-down reversing unit 21 and the front/back reversing unit 22, and collects money corresponding to the denomination of the banknote 5 via the collecting/connecting conveying path 28 in which the conveying direction is switched. They are collected and stored in the type stacker units 41 to 47.

The teller 7 sets the banknotes, which have been determined to be abnormal in conveyance, and which are stored in the reject banknote collection unit 24 taken out of the apparatus, and the banknotes of denominations which are not the banding target, into the deposit port 10. Then, when the teller 7 operates the terminal 6, the banknotes 5 that have been set are separated one by one by the payout section 10, and the banknotes 5 that have been paid out are transferred to the deposit identification section 11 by the payout transfer path 17. The deposit identification unit 11 determines the type (for example, denomination/conveyance state) of banknotes conveyed by the deposit conveyance path 17. The deposit conveyance path 17 conveys the bill to the temporary holding units 13 to 16 or the collecting unit that stores the bill based on the type of the bill discriminated by the deposit identifying unit 11.

The deposit conveyance path 17 conveys, for example, banknotes of denominations A to G determined to be normal by the deposit identification unit 11 to the collection conveyance path 27 via the temporary storage units 13 to 16 as in the third embodiment. .. The banknote processing unit 3 switches the branch portion B1 of the recovery connection transfer path 28 to the transfer direction to the banknote bandage recovery units 25 and 26. Further, the banknote processing unit 3 conveys the banknote 5 that has been determined to be abnormal by the deposit identifying unit 11 to the return port unit 12, and the teller 7 extracts the banknote, as in the third embodiment. The bills extracted by the teller 7 can be recounted by the teller 7 resetting the bills in the deposit port 10.

The banknote processing unit 3 has a detection unit (for example, an optical sensor) that detects the predetermined number of sheets (for example, full or near full) of the denomination type stacker units 41 to 47 in each of the denomination type stacker units 41 to 47. Therefore, when the number of sheets less than the predetermined number is detected, the branching portion B2 of the collecting and connecting conveyance path 28 is switched to the feeding direction from the denomination type stacker units 41 to 47 shown in FIG. 6B. The banknote processing unit 3 switches the transfer destination of the denomination from the banknote band seal collection units 25, 26 to the denomination stacker units 41 to 47, and is accumulated in the denomination stacker units 41 to 47 until a predetermined number of sheets is satisfied. The bills are fed one by one, and the banding operation is completed. The bill banding operation of the bill banding collection units 25 and 26 is similar to the case of the collecting action. Further, when the number of stored coins in the denomination-type stacker units 41 to 47 exceeds a predetermined number (for example, 100) of the number of banded sheets, the same process as the collecting operation can be performed.

By operating in this way, it becomes possible to band as many denominations as the number of denomination stacker units 41 to 47 in the collecting operation, and the number is limited to the number of banknote banding and collecting units as in the second and third embodiments. As a result, it is possible to eliminate the need to store bills that are not banded in the collecting operation in the reject bill collecting unit 24 and to perform the rearranging and counting operation thereafter, so that the processing time can be shortened.

Further, in the present embodiment, since the number of denominations to be handled is 7 and the number of denomination stacker units is the same as that of 7 denominations, all the denominations can be banded in one storing operation. When the number of denominations is 7 and the number of denomination stacker units is 4, only 4 denominations can be directly banded in the rearranging counting operation. In such a case, banknotes of denominations that are not subject to banding (that is, denominations that are not set in the denomination stacker unit) are distributed to the temporary holding units 13 to 16 and the same operation as the method described in Embodiments 2 and 3 is performed. It is possible to reduce the total processing time by increasing the number of denominations that can be banded in the collecting operation even in this case.

The present invention is not limited to the above embodiment and may have the following configurations.
The types and numbers of the temporary holding units (100 to 103, 23 to 26) and the collecting units (13 to 16) are not limited to those in the above embodiment. For example, an unfit note temporary holding unit, an unfit note collecting unit, a device without a reject collecting unit, an unfit note temporary holding unit, an uncollectible note collecting unit, a device having a plurality of reject collecting units, or a place different from the above embodiment. It may be installed. Alternatively, the number of banknote band seal collection units (25, 26) may be different from that of the above-described embodiment, or may be different. Further, instead of or in addition to the bill bandage collection unit (25, 26), a collection cassette for collecting genuine bills may be provided.

In the case of a device that does not have an unfit note temporary holding section, an unfit note collecting section, and a reject collecting section, for example, even if a banknote that is determined to be an unfit note is returned to the return port section 12 based on the determination result of the deposit identification section 11. Good. In addition, when there is no temporary holding unit for storing a certain type of banknote (not set), the banknote may be returned to the return port unit 12.

Further, the temporary holding units 13 to 16 may mix and store a plurality of types of banknotes. In the case of Embodiments 2 to 4, the banknote processing unit 3 may determine the recovery unit of the transport destination based on the type of banknote determined by the recovery identification unit 20, and transport the banknote to the transport destination.

The types of banknotes may include damage, authenticity, denomination, banknote direction, banknote state, and banknote generation. The number and types of the temporary holding units (100 to 103, 23 to 26) and the collecting units (13 to 16) of the bill processing unit 3 may be determined according to the number of types of bills handled by the bill processing unit 3. .. The banknote processing unit 3 may determine the type of banknote to be stored in each of the temporary holding unit (100 to 103, 23 to 26) and the collecting unit (13 to 16) based on the information received from the outside.

For example, settings are made such that a plurality of types of banknotes are mixed and stored, the same denomination is stored, banknotes in which the banknotes have the same direction are stored, banknotes of the same generation are stored, or unfit banknotes are stored. It may be possible.

The banknote processing unit 3 may not have a front/back reversing unit or a top/bottom aligning unit. In addition, the banknote bandage collection unit may simply stack banknotes without banding as long as the teller can directly contact the banknotes. The cost can be suppressed.

Further, since the collecting unit of the banknote processing unit 3 is a horizontal type in which the banknotes are stacked in the horizontal direction or in the standing state, the banknotes can be individually taken out from the banknote processing unit 3 from the collecting unit. I am trying.

Further, the banknote processing unit 3 detects the number of stored banknotes (stored amount) of the banknotes accumulated in the collecting unit by the sensor, and detects the collecting unit that has a predetermined amount or more (for example, a full or near full state), Notify the terminal 6. As a result, the teller 7 can easily determine the collecting unit from which the bill should be taken out. In addition, the terminal 6 of the bill processing unit 3 may accept the input of information indicating the collecting unit from which the teller 7 tries to take out the bill to the outside. The bill processing unit 3 may prohibit the collection operation of the collection unit that receives an input from the terminal 6 from being performed.

Further, the banknote processing unit 3 has a predetermined amount or more (for example, a full or near full state) banknote collection cassette when each of the banknote collection cassettes 100 to 103 has a lock mechanism that restricts (prohibits) the taking out. The lock mechanism may be released only for 100 to 103, or only the banknote collection cassettes 100 to 103 that have received an input from the terminal 6.
As shown in the above embodiment, the present invention has at least one of the following features.

(1) A deposit port that receives bills from the outside in front of the bill processing unit, a deposit transport unit that transports the bills accepted by the deposit port one by one, and a type (denomination) of bills transported by the deposit transport unit. , Direction, generation, damage, transportation state or authenticity), and a plurality of temporary holding units that temporarily store the same type of banknote based on the result of the determination by the determination unit, respectively. Moves the banknotes stored in the plurality of collecting units (100 to 103, 23 to 26) and the plurality of temporary holding units that allow the banknotes to be individually taken out of the banknote processing unit to the plurality of collecting units. And a recovery transfer unit.

By having the said structure, it becomes possible to carry out a deposit operation, a collection operation, and the movement of the banknote from a collection part continuously. More specifically, while the banknotes are moving from the collecting unit of the first transaction, the collecting operation of the second transaction can be performed in parallel, and the collecting operation of the third transaction can be performed during the collecting operation of the second transaction. It is possible to carry out the deposit operation in parallel. That is, the operation efficiency of the device can be improved.

Further, when the collection moving unit is a transport unit that connects a plurality of collection units and a plurality of temporary storage units, it is possible to arbitrarily adjust the number of collection units or temporary storage units.

In addition, a part of the collection unit may be a collection cassette that stacks banknotes in a standing state in the horizontal direction, so that each collection cassette can be individually taken out from the rear of the banknote processing unit. In this case, compared to the case of the vertical storage, even if a plurality of banknote processing devices are installed in the horizontal direction or there are restrictions (obstacles) in the horizontal direction, it is possible to improve the operation efficiency of the banknote processing unit. ..

(2) The banknote processing unit moves from the deposit port to the second temporary holding unit one by one during the collecting operation of moving the first transaction banknotes stored in the first temporary holding unit to the collecting unit. A deposit operation for carrying the banknotes of the second transaction is carried out. Thereby, it becomes possible to carry out the deposit operation of the second transaction and the collecting operation of the first transaction in parallel. That is, it is possible to improve the operation efficiency of the collecting operation and the depositing operation.

Further, in this case, the drive unit for causing the bill processing unit to perform the deposit operation and the drive unit for performing the collection operation may be separate.

(3) The bill processing unit has a collection identification unit in the collection conveyance unit that connects the temporary storage unit and the plurality of collection units. As a result, it is possible to perform various operations as compared with the case where there is no recovery identification unit. Even when a plurality of temporary holding units for storing bills of the same type are set, even when a plurality of temporary holding units for storing bills of different denominations are set, it is possible to operate.

(4) The bill processing unit has a collection identification unit in the collection conveyance unit that connects the temporary storage unit and the collection unit, and has a front-back reversing unit or a top-bottom alignment unit between the collection identification unit and the collection unit. You can do it. As a result, even if the banknotes stored in the temporary storage section have different directions, the collection section can unify the banknote directions.

Further, in this case, even if the number of temporary holding units is reduced, it is possible for the collecting unit to collect banknotes in which the front and back sides and the top and bottom are aligned.

(5) The banknote processing unit transfers the banknotes to the plurality of temporary holding units, the plurality of collecting cassettes included in the corresponding collecting units, and the banknotes accumulated in the respective temporary holding units to the corresponding collecting cassettes. And a collection cassette that collects the banknotes in the horizontal direction (may be the horizontal direction) (the banknotes may be stacked in an upright state). ), the recovery cassette can be attached to and detached from the temporary holding unit by sliding. Accordingly, it is possible to perform the collecting operation during the depositing operation without having a transport path for transporting the bills one by one.

(6) The banknote processing unit has an unfit banknote temporary storage unit that temporarily stores a plurality of types of banknotes that are rarely handled (banknotes that are not stored in other temporary storage units and returned to the return slot). As a result, the bill processing unit can reduce the number of temporary holding units that are individually used for a plurality of types of bills that are rarely handled.

(7) The banknote processing unit has a reject banknote recovery unit that stores banknotes determined to be rejected banknotes (abnormal conveyance state) by the recovery identification unit, on the upstream side of the recovery unit that recovers genuine bills. Thereby, it becomes possible to suppress the reject at the time of collection.
