Claims (12)
- 上部に原料の供給口を有する竪型炉体と、この竪型炉体の炉底に設けられた炉床部材と、前記堅型炉体の下部側部に前記堅型炉体に連通すると共にこの下部側部から側方に広がるように設けられ少なくとも一部の内壁がマイクロ波を反射する材料で構成されたマイクロ波照射室と、このマイクロ波照射室の下部に設けられた製錬生成物の取出口と、前記マイクロ波照射室にマイクロ波を導入するためにマイクロ波を透過する材料で形成されたマイクロ波導入窓と、マイクロ波を前記マイクロ波導入窓を介して前記マイクロ波照射室内に照射するマイクロ波照射装置と、このマイクロ波照射装置からのマイクロ波の照射を制御する制御装置と、を有し、前記原料は前記炉床部材上で、この炉床部材に連通する前記マイクロ波照射室から直接マイクロ波の照射を受けて加熱されることを特徴とする竪型マイクロ波製錬炉。
- 上部に原料の供給口を1又は複数個有する竪型炉体と、この炉体内に設けられ炉体内を上部と下部とに区切る耐火物製の炉頭部と、この竪型炉体の炉底に設けられ前記炉頭部との間で反応空間であるアプリケータを形成する耐火物製の炉床部と、前記アプリケータに面する前記炉頭部及び炉床部の面に設けられ導電性物質からなり接地されてマイクロ波を反射する内張と、前記炉床部に設けられた製錬生成物の取出口と、前記アプリケータにマイクロ波を導入するためにマイクロ波を透過する材料で形成されたマイクロ波導入窓と、マイクロ波を前記マイクロ波導入窓を介して前記アプリケータ内に照射するマイクロ波照射装置と、このマイクロ波照射装置からのマイクロ波の照射を制御する制御装置と、を有し、前記原料は前記炉床部上で、前記アプリケータから直接マイクロ波の照射を受けて加熱されることを特徴とする竪型マイクロ波製錬炉。
- 前記原料は、鉄鉱石と炭素源とを含み、前記製錬生成物は溶銑であることを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の竪型マイクロ波製錬炉。
- 前記原料は鉄鉱石とコークスとの混合粉であり、前記制御装置は、前記マイクロ波照射装置から、0.915乃至140GHzの範囲内の1又は複数の周波数のマイクロ波を照射させることを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の竪型マイクロ波製錬炉。
- 前記制御装置は、前記マイクロ波照射装置から照射されるマイクロ波の波面及び位相を制御することにより、ビームの方向を電気的に可変とすることを特徴とする請求項4に記載の竪型マイクロ波製錬炉。
- 前記炉床部材は、炉底の下方から炉内に挿入されたものであり、その上面が中央が上方に突出した凸面を構成すると共に、上下動可能に支持されており、
前記炉床部材の上下位置を調整することにより、前記竪型炉体の下部側壁と前記炉床部材との間の開口面積を調整し、前記マイクロ波照射室への前記原料の供給量を調整する他の制御装置を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の竪型マイクロ波製錬炉。 - 前記炉床部材は、炭素を主成分とする素材からなり、溶銑と反応して消耗するものであることを特徴とする請求項6に記載の竪型マイクロ波製錬炉。
- 前記竪型炉体は、鋼材により形成された鉄皮の内側に、黒鉛、アルミナ又はシリカで内張されたものであることを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の竪型マイクロ波製錬炉。
- 前記マイクロ波照射室は、その少なくとも一部の内壁が、マイクロ波を反射する銅若しくは銅合金、ステンレス鋼、金を被覆したステンレス鋼又はグラファイトで内張されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の竪型マイクロ波製錬炉。
- 前記炉床部材は、製錬炉の起動時に溶銑でコーティングされるように配置されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の竪型マイクロ波製錬炉。
- 前記原料は、電子機器廃棄物であり、前記製錬生成物は、貴金属又はレアメタルであることを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の竪型マイクロ波製錬炉。
- 前記内張は、グラファイトのシート、板又はブロックであることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の竪型マイクロ波精錬炉。
