Description
環状単官能性(メタ)アクリレートモノマーを含む少なくとも2つの単官能性(メタ)アクリレートモノマーおよび2−(2−エトキシエトキシ)エチルアクリレート、
N−ビニルアミド、N−アクリロイルアミンまたはそれらの混合物から選択される単官能性モノマー、
多官能性(メタ)アクリレートモノマー、
重合性(メタ)アクリレートオリゴマー、
ラジカル光開始剤、および
着色剤
を含むインクを提供する。
以下の成分を組み合わせてインク1〜5を調製した:
N−ビニルカプロラクタム 16.10 ビニルアミドモノマー
2−フェノキシエチルアクリレート 16.91 環状単官能性モノマー
モノマー* 9.90 単官能性モノマー
DPGDA 10.00 二官能性モノマー
黒顔料濃縮物 5.29 顔料
Irgacure 369 1.00 光開始剤
PBZ 4.00 光開始剤
Irgacure 907 0.40 光開始剤

TPO 4.50 光開始剤

実施例1で調製したインク1〜5の粘度を測定し、そのインクをその後基材に塗布し、分析した。粘度は20rpmで操作するBrookfield DV−1により測定した。そのインクを、220μmのGenotherm(PVC)基材にM10Kバー塗布器を用いてドローダウン(drawn down)してほぼ8〜10μmの塗膜重量を生じさせた。その塗膜を、Svecia UVドライヤーを用い、取り付けられた2つの80W/cmのランプを全出力で操作して、20m/分のベルト速度で硬化させた。その印刷物を硬化後15時間放置した後、その塗膜特性を評価した。その結果を次の表に示す:
実施例1で調製したインク1〜5の付着性を測定した。該インクは、次の表に示したように、基材のPE85トランスT/C、PE85ホワイトおよびPPトップホワイトを使用した以外は実施例2に示した条件下で硬化した。これらの3つの異なる基材に対する付着性を、カットエッジからのテープ付着性を用いて測定した。試料の印刷物を鋭利なナイフで切れ目をつけ、粘着テープをそのカットエッジを横切って水平に貼り付けた。そのテープを次に素早く強く引き、インク除去の程度を評価した。その結果を次表に示す。表中、「1」は、硬化したインクの100%除去を表し、「5」は0%の除去を表す。
実施例1で調製したインク1〜5のブロッキングを測定した。1、2および3層の被膜を、20kg重量の下に15時間、印刷物・印刷物間および印刷物・基材間の両方をブロックさせた後、ブロッキングの程度を評価した。印刷物・印刷物間のブロッキングおよび印刷物・基材間のブロッキングの両方を測定したが、オープンリール式印刷用途については、形成されるロールが必然的に印刷物・基材間で形成されるので印刷物・基材間のみが特に妥当性のあるものである。その結果を次表に示す。表中、「1」は、不十分なブロッキング性能を表し、「5」は優れた性能を表す。

Claims (2)
- 25℃で30mPas以下の粘度を有する、水および揮発性有機溶媒を実質的に含まない放射線硬化性インクジェットインクであって、
10から25重量%までである環状単官能性(メタ)アクリレートモノマーを含む少なくとも2つの単官能性(メタ)アクリレートモノマーおよび5から15重量%までである2−(2−エトキシエトキシ)エチルアクリレート;
N−ビニルアミド、N−アクリロイルアミンまたはそれらの混合物から選択される、10から25重量%までである単官能性モノマー;
5から15重量%までである多官能性(メタ)アクリレートモノマー;
5から35重量%までである重合性(メタ)アクリレートオリゴマー;
ラジカル光開始剤;および
着色剤
を含み、
前記環状単官能性(メタ)アクリレートモノマーが、フェノキシエチルアクリレート(PEA)であり、
ここで重量パーセントはインクの合計重量に基づく、放射線硬化性インクジェットインク。 - オープンリール式インクジェット印刷方法であって、請求項1に記載のインクジェットインクを基材に印刷するステップと、該基材を基材リールから受けリールに移動させるとき該インクを硬化するステップとを含む方法。
