Description
Claims (4)
- 抗凝固処理全生血の単層薄膜試料を分析して、所定の病原体に由来する単数又は複数の抗原がコーティングされた粒子に対する、血液試料に含まれる白血球による特定の貪食作用及び/又は結合作用の有無を調べることにより、血液ドナーの前記病原体による最近の曝露又は現在の感染の有無を調べる方法において、
前記血液試料を、前記抗原がコーティングされた第1の検出可能粒子、及び前記抗原がコーティングされていない第2の検出可能粒子と混合し、培養して、前記血液試料と前記第1及び第2の検出可能粒子の培養された混合物を生成する工程と;
膜厚方向の厚さが3〜25μmであるサンプルチャンバを用意する工程と;
前記サンプルチャンバに前記混合物を充填する工程と;
前記サンプルチャンバを光学的にスキャン又は撮像して、個々の前記白血球により貪食された前記第1及び第2の検出可能粒子の量を検出し記録する工程と;
前記スキャン又は撮像工程が、個々の前記白血球により貪食された前記第1及び第2の検出可能粒子の量を比較することにより、前記血液試料のドナーが前記所定の病原体に感染しているとの兆候があることを示すか否かを決定する工程と;
を含む方法。 - 感染の有無を調べる分析による結果が有効であるか否かを決定する工程であって、前記第1の検出可能粒子及び前記第2の検出可能粒子の貪食が皆無であるか、又は予め定義された正常範囲より少ない場合には前記結果が無効であると判断する工程をさらに含む請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記所定の病原体が、ライム病の存在を示すボレリア(Borrelia)菌である請求項1又は2に記載の方法。
- 前記サンプルチャンバの膜厚方向の厚さが4〜6μmである請求項1から3の何れか一項に記載の方法。
