Description
The present invention relates to a flexible (flexible and bendable) duct used for air conditioning equipment, and more particularly to a flexible duct suitable for use in a place where dust generation is avoided, such as a clean room.
Conventionally, as a duct used in air conditioning equipment, glass wool (heat insulating material) arranged as an intermediate layer, interior and exterior skins provided on the inner and outer circumferences, respectively, and a helical shape fixed to the interior skin A flexible duct including a steel wire wound around is known (see, for example, Patent Document 1 (FIG. 1)). Usually, a polyester film or the like is used as the interior leather. This flexible duct using glass wool as a heat insulating material is flexible and flexible so that the duct can be bent to an arbitrary angle to some extent. Widely used to connect etc.
A typical specific embodiment at the axial end of the conventional flexible duct as described above will be described with reference to FIG.
The outside of the
The end portion of the flexible duct is compressed from the outer peripheral side toward the center and is reduced in diameter than the intermediate portion in the axial direction. The
In such a conventional flexible duct, since the
The present invention has been made in consideration of the above-described problems of the background art, and an object thereof is to prevent glass wool fibers from leaking into the duct in a predetermined flexible duct using glass wool as a heat insulating material. In particular, it is an object to prevent glass wool fibers from leaking into the duct at the end of the flexible duct.
And an interior skin made of a synthetic resin film provided on the inner periphery, and the outer skin formed by a single layer sheet or a composite sheet with a synthetic resin provided on the outer periphery, and glass wool disposed as an intermediate layer, wherein A flexible duct used for air conditioning equipment, comprising a reinforcing member made of steel wire fixed to an interior skin,
In the axial end portion of the interior skin, an interior skin extension portion in which the glass wool or other fibrous material does not exist on the interior skin axially outside the axial end portion of the glass wool is provided,
In the interior skin extension portion, the exterior skin is in close contact with the interior skin through a non-fibrous foam heat insulating material provided in the interior skin extension portion without using the glass wool or other fibrous material. Flexible duct fixed to
According to the present invention, an inner skin extension portion where glass wool does not exist is formed at the end of the flexible duct, and an inner skin and an outer skin are provided on the inner skin extension portion in this portion where there is no glass wool as a fiber . Glass wool fibers leak into the duct at the end of the flexible duct from the through-hole of the stapler, which may occur under the prior art because they are bonded in close contact via a non-fibrous foam insulation. Such a situation can be prevented. It is also possible to fix the interior skin and the exterior skin without using a stapler. By fixing the exterior skin in a close contact state with the interior skin via a foam heat insulating material provided in the interior skin extension, it is possible to ensure good heat insulation and sound deadening.
A
