Description

図8を参照し、送信機800の実施例を説明する。受信機800は、例えば携帯型ハンドヘルド装置であってよい。変調信号は、アンテナ805で受信されVSB復調器810へ供給される。VSB復調器810は受信信号を復調し、当該受信機に関連する信号成分(例えば選択されたチャンネルのビデオ)を選択してよい。

- データを受信する方法であって、
第1のストリームからバースト送信を受信するために、受信機において、固定長かつ周期的なアクティブな期間の間、省電力モードを終了するステップと、
前記アクティブな期間の間に、前記受信機において、前記第1のストリームから前記バースト送信を受信するステップであって、前記バーストは連続モード送信システムを介し受信される、前記ステップと、
前記アクティブな期間の間に、前記受信機において、第2のストリームからデータを受信するステップであって、前記第2のストリームからの前記データは前記連続モード送信システムを介し受信される、前記ステップと、
前記第2のストリームから受信された前記データを廃棄して、それにより不要な処理を避けるステップと、
前記第1のストリームから前記バースト送信を受信した後に、前記第1のストリームからの別のバーストを待ちながら、固定長かつ周期的な省電力期間の間、前記省電力モードに入るステップと、
