Abstract
【解決手段】シーケンシャルなデータ部分を第1のデータ・セットに、省電力モードを共用する時間間隔により分離する送信機を提供する(1005)。送信機は、個々の時間間隔により分離される、第1のデータ・セットを有するデータのシーケンシャル部分を送信する。個々の時間間隔は、第1のデータ・セットからシーケンシャルに送信されたデータ部分の受信と受信の間に、受信機が省電力モードを開始及び終了するのに十分な長さを有する(1010)。送信機は、第2のデータ・セット内のシーケンシャルなデータ部分を、受信機が時間間隔中に省電力モードを開始及び終了するのに十分な時間長ではない時間間隔により分離する(1015)。次に第2のデータ・セットは送信される(1020)。

Description
図8を参照し、送信機800の実施例を説明する。受信機800は、例えば携帯型ハンドヘルド装置であってよい。変調信号は、アンテナ805で受信されVSB復調器810へ供給される。VSB復調器810は受信信号を復調し、当該受信機に関連する信号成分(例えば選択されたチャンネルのビデオ)を選択してよい。
受信機は、ユーザーに表示されうる番組案内情報のような情報を受信し復調してよい。ユーザーは次に、ユーザーが決定したデータ・オブジェクトの選択を入力してよい。当該データ・オブジェクトは、あるテレビ・チャンネルでオーディオ及びビデオを表現するデータ・ストリームであってよい。チャンネル選択は、ブロック925に示されるように、ユーザーから受信される。復調器は次に、選択されたチャンネルに対応する次のバースト送信の時間を取得する。ブロック930に示されるように、当該時間は、バースト時間レジスタに読み出される。受信機は次に、省電力モードを開始してよい。省電力モードを開始する段階は、ブロック935により示されるように、復調器を停止する段階を有してよい。幾つかの実施では、「次の」送信時間を決定し省電力モードを開始する前に、選択されたチャンネルの次のバーストを待ってよい。

Claims (1)
- 送信機から、第1のデータ・セットを送信する段階、及び
前記送信機から、第2のデータ・セットを送信する段階、
を有し、
前記第1のデータ・セットを有するシーケンシャルなデータ部分の送信は、前記第1のデータ・セットを有するシーケンシャルに送信された部分の受信と受信の間に、受信機に省電力モードを開始及び終了することを許容する長さの個々の時間間隔により分割され、
前記第2のデータ・セットは、ユーザーにより選択可能な番組を有し、前記第2のデータ・セットの全ての部分の送信は、前記第2のデータ・セットを有するシーケンシャルに送信された部分の受信と受信の間に、受信機に省電力モードを開始及び終了することを許容しない長さの個々の時間間隔により分割される、
ことを特徴とする方法。
