Description

The present invention relates to a decorated synthetic resin molded product whose surface is decorated with a paint film layer and a printed layer.

Synthetic resin molded products are often used by decorating the surface with a paint film layer or a printed layer by coating, or a metal vapor deposition film layer for the purpose of revealing a high-class feeling.
For example, Patent Document 1 shows a layer configuration in which a metal vapor deposition film, an ultraviolet (UV) curable UV coating film, and a transfer film including a printing layer are laminated on the surface of a synthetic resin molded product.

特開2006−255561JP 2006-255561 A

Here, assuming the case where the surface of the synthetic resin molded article is coated with a paint film layer by painting and further decorated by drawing letters and patterns on a part of this paint film layer,
The coating layer hides color spots and gloss spots on the molded product, and has a decorative function to give vivid colors and high gloss, as well as a function to suppress the occurrence of scratches on the molded product surface due to friction, that is, scratch resistance. For example, it is necessary to form a coating film having a high surface hardness using, for example, a UV curable paint.

On the other hand, when it is going to laminate and decorate a printing layer on this coating layer, when the surface hardness of a coating layer is too high, the adhesiveness of a printing layer to the coating layer falls and a printing layer peels off Therefore, it has been a difficult problem in terms of product design to exhibit the above-mentioned scratch resistance and the adhesion of the printed layer in a high balance.

The present invention is a decorative synthetic resin molded article in which the surface is covered with a coating layer, and a letter or a pattern is drawn on a part of the coating layer with a printing layer, and the scratch resistance and the adhesion of the printing layer It is a technical problem to ensure that both sexes are fully exhibited.

The main configuration of the present invention related to the means for solving the above technical problem is:
The surface of the synthetic resin molded product is covered with a coating layer by applying UV curable paint and cured, and then a printed layer is laminated on a part of this coating layer by printing with UV curable ink. In the surface-decorated synthetic resin molded product decorated,
The coating layer of the coating layer is a low hardness coating layer with a relatively low coating hardness, and the other region is a high hardness coating layer with a relatively high coating hardness,
The pencil hardness of the high hardness coating layer is 2H or more, the pencil hardness of the low hardness coating layer is H or less, and the pencil hardness of the printing layer is 2H or more,
It is said.

The surface-decorated synthetic resin molded product having the above-described structure is characterized in that a coating layer that covers the surface of the molded product is divided into a high-hardness coating layer region having a relatively high hardness and a low-hardness coating having a relatively low hardness. The point is that it is divided into membrane layer areas.
In the area where the printing layer is printed, the hardness of the coating film is lowered so that the adhesion of the printing layer is sufficient without considering the balance with the scratch resistance of the coating layer, while printing is performed in other areas. Without considering the adhesion of the layer, the hardness of the coating can be increased so that the scratch resistance can be sufficiently exerted,
In addition, the printing layer itself can be printed using, for example, UV curable ink, and its scratch resistance can be sufficiently increased by UV curing.
Both the scratch resistance of the surface-decorated synthetic resin molded product decorated with the coating layer and the printing layer and the adhesion of the printing layer can be sufficiently exhibited.

In the above configuration, the hardness is described as relatively high or relatively low from the viewpoint of the relative hardness of the high hardness coating layer and the low hardness coating layer.
Here, in the case of commercially available paints used for forming the coating layer, in many cases, the approximate hardness of the coating can be understood from the composition of the components. Several types of paint suitable for the coating layer are selected and confirmed in advance, and the paint suitable for each is used.
Further, by adjusting the direction of the spray gun used for painting or by using masking, the coating layer can be divided into a low-hardness coating layer and a high-hardness coating layer.

The hardness of the high-hardness coating layer and the low-hardness coating layer, or how much the hardness of the printing layer is set depends on the usage environment and usage of the molded product, the scratch resistance of the coating layer and the printing layer, and printing. Although it can be appropriately set in consideration of the adhesion of the layer,
In order to sufficiently exhibit both scratch resistance and adhesion, the pencil hardness of the high hardness coating layer is set to 2H or more, the pencil hardness of the low hardness coating layer is set to H or less, and the pencil of the printing layer is used. The hardness is preferably 2H or more.
In addition, the measurement of the pencil hardness of the coating layer and the printing layer in the present application is performed according to JIS K5400 8.4.1. Further, the determination of the adhesion of the printed layer is performed according to JIS K5400 8.5.2, and an evaluation score of 8 or more in Table 18 is regarded as acceptable.

Here, as an example of a paint that is used for a high hardness coating layer and the pencil hardness of the coating is 2H or more, an epoxy acrylate, a polyester acrylate, a trifunctional or more functional urethane acrylate as a single substance or a mixture is used as a UV curable resin. Examples of paints that are included as components, and that are used in low-hardness paint film layers and whose paint film pencil hardness is H or less, include polyester acrylate as a UV curable resin, trifunctional urethane acrylate simple substance Or there is a thing containing a mixture as an ingredient. In the case of spray coating, an organic solvent is generally blended with these resins in order to obtain a viscosity suitable for coating. Of course, it is not particularly limited to these paints.
Moreover, as an example of the printing ink which is used for the printing layer and the pencil hardness of the printing layer is 2H or more, for example, UV curable resin containing urethane acrylate, epoxy acrylate, polyester acrylate, unsaturated polyester, etc. as components as UV curable resin There is ink. Of course, this is not particularly limited.

Since the present invention has the above-described configuration, the following effects can be obtained.
That is, the feature of the surface-decorated synthetic resin molded product of the present invention is that the coating layer covering the surface of the molded product is divided into a high-hardness coating layer region having a relatively high hardness and a relatively low low-hardness coating layer. In the area where the print layer is printed, the adhesion of the print layer is sufficient in the area where the print layer is printed without considering the balance with the scratch resistance of the paint layer. On the other hand, in other regions, the hardness of the coating film can be increased so that the scratch resistance can be sufficiently exerted without considering the adhesion of the printing layer, and the printing layer itself is, for example, a UV curable ink. Can be made sufficiently high by scratching and UV-curing, and the scratch resistance of the surface-decorated synthetic resin molded product decorated by the coating layer and the printed layer and the adhesion of the printed layer. Both sexes can be fully demonstrated.

It is a perspective view of one Example of the surface decoration synthetic resin molding of this invention. It is a longitudinal cross-sectional view shown along the AA line in FIG.

DESCRIPTION OF EXEMPLARY EMBODIMENTS Hereinafter, embodiments of the invention will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings.
1 and 2 show an embodiment of a surface-decorated synthetic resin molded product according to the present invention. FIG. 1 is a perspective view, and FIG. 2 is a longitudinal sectional view taken along line AA in FIG. is there.
This molded product 1 is an injection molded product made of ABS resin and is a lid portion of a rectangular compact container.

Next, with reference to FIG. 2, the layer structure which concerns on the decoration of this molded article 1 is demonstrated.
As shown in the longitudinal sectional view of FIG. 2, an undercoat layer 2, an aluminum deposition layer 3, and a coating layer 4 are sequentially laminated on the entire surface including the top surface 1t, the side surface 1s, and the lower surface 1u of the molded product 1. The printing layer 5 is laminated over the entire area of the top surface 1t.

Here, the undercoat layer 2 is formed by spray coating, and exhibits a function of bringing the aluminum vapor deposition layer 3 into close contact with the surface of the molded product 1 serving as a base material.
The aluminum vapor deposition layer 3 is formed on the undercoat layer 2 by a vacuum vapor deposition method.
In addition, the transparent coating layer 4 is formed by spray coating and exhibits a function as a protective layer for the aluminum vapor deposition layer 3, and also presents a metallic luster by the aluminum vapor deposition layer 3 to give a high-class feeling. The decorative function, the function of the printed layer 5 as a base material, the function of preventing scratches due to the friction of the surface of the molded product 1, that is, the scratch resistance is exhibited.
The print layer 5 is composed of a solid print layer 5a made of colored transparent ink and a character print layer 5b that displays characters (abcdefgh) designed with colored ink. The solid print layer 5a is formed of colored transparent ink, and the metallic luster of aluminum vapor deposition appears to be transmitted, so that a high-class feeling appears.

In the present embodiment, the coating layer 4 is formed by spray coating using a UV curable paint. The coating layer 4 includes two layers, a low hardness coating layer 4b formed over the entire area of the top surface 1t and a high hardness coating layer 4a formed in a region including the other side surface 1s and the lower surface 1u. The high hardness coating layer 4a is made to have a pencil hardness of 2H or more, and the low hardness coating layer 4b is made to have a pencil hardness of H or less.
These low-hardness paint film layer 4b and high-hardness paint film layer 4a are applied while selecting the paint in consideration of the hardness of each paint film and adjusting the direction of the spray gun used for painting and the rotation direction of the molded product. By doing so, it can be divided into the entire region of the top surface 1t, and the region including the side surface 1s and the bottom surface 1u excluding the top surface 1t, and then the paint is cured by irradiating UV.

Here, examples of the UV curable paint having a coating film pencil hardness of 2H or more include epoxy acrylate, polyester acrylate, tri- or more functional urethane acrylate, or a pencil hardness of the coating film. Examples of paints that are H or lower include polyester acrylate, trifunctional or lower urethane acrylate alone or a mixture, but are not particularly limited to these paints.

Further, in this embodiment, it is composed of a solid print layer 5a and a character print layer 5b that displays colored and designed characters (abcdefgh). This print layer 5 uses UV curable ink. It is printed by the ink jet printing method, and UV is irradiated immediately after printing, and the ink is cured. For the printing ink to be used, the component composition of the printing ink is selected so that the pencil hardness of the printed layer surface after curing is 2H or more.

Here, as an example of the printing ink in which the pencil hardness of the printing layer is 2H or more, as a UV curable resin, for example, a UV ray curable ink containing urethane acrylate, epoxy acrylate, polyester acrylate, unsaturated polyester, etc. as components. Among them, epoxy acrylate, polyester acrylate, tri- or higher functional urethane acrylate alone or a mixture thereof is suitable, but is not particularly limited to these inks.

And in the molded product with surface decoration of the present embodiment, the molded product 1 is covered with the high-hardness coating layer 4a having a pencil hardness of 2H or more and the printing layer 5 over the entire surface. Sufficient scratch resistance is exhibited throughout.
Moreover, since the printing layer 5 is laminated | stacked on the low-hardness coating-film layer 4b whose pencil hardness is H or less, it has sufficient adhesiveness and can prevent peeling of the printing layer 5 fully.

Here, in the above embodiment, the adhesion of the printed layer 5 to a molded product in which the pencil hardness of the high hardness coating layer 4a is 3H, the pencil hardness of the low hardness coating layer 4b is HB, and the pencil hardness of the printing layer 5 is 4H. When the evaluation of the properties was performed according to JIS K5400 8.5.2, there was no peeling at all.
Further, as a comparative example, the coating layer 4 was formed using a coating material in which the high hardness coating layer 4a having a pencil hardness of 3H in the above example was formed in all the regions of the top surface 1t, the side surface 1s, and the lower surface 1u. Except for the above, a molded product was produced in the same manner as in the Examples, and the adhesion of the printed layer 5 was evaluated. As a result, the printed layer 5 was peeled off from the interface with the coating layer 4.
Further, as Comparative Example 2, all the steps were performed except that the coating layer 4 was formed using the coating material in which the low-hardness coating layer 4b was formed in all the regions of the top surface 1t, the side surface 1s, and the lower surface 1u. The molded product 1 was prepared in the same manner as in the example, and the adhesion of the printing layer 5 was evaluated. The surface was not peeled off at all, but the surface except the top surface 1t covered with the printing layer 5 having a pencil hardness of 4H. Was coated with the coating film layer 4 having a pencil hardness of HB, so that the scratch resistance was insufficient.

As mentioned above, although the structure and its effect of this invention were demonstrated along the Example, the surface decorating synthetic resin molded product of this invention is not limited to this Example.
First, in the above embodiment, the aluminum vapor deposition layer is provided and the coating layer is transparent. However, the layer configuration without the aluminum vapor deposition layer and the coating layer can be colored and opaque. Various decoration modes, such as laminating other decorative layers in consideration of the use conditions and the purpose of decoration, within the category of the basic layer structure of the present invention that a printed layer is laminated on a film layer It can be.

Moreover, in the said Example, it was set as the structure which coat | covers the whole surface of the molded article 1 with the coating-film layer 4, However, It is not necessary to coat | cover the whole surface of a molded article, for example, the lower surface 1u is covered with the molded article 1 of the said Example. A part that is not touched by the shape and usage of the molded product, such as not being coated, can be configured so as not to be coated.
Moreover, about the coating-film layer 4, the high-hardness coating-film layer 4a and the low-hardness coating-film layer 4b can also be laminated | stacked and laminated | stacked partially.

Moreover, in the said Example, although the whole top surface 1t of the molded article 1 was made into the low-hardness coating-film layer 4b, how is the high-hardness coating-film layer 4a area | region and the low-hardness coating-film layer 4b area | region on the surface of a molded article? The distribution can be appropriately determined in consideration of the shape of the molded product, the range in which the printed layer is formed, the mode of use, and the productivity of the coating or printing process.
For example, the low-hardness coating film layer 4b may be limited to a rectangular area as indicated by a two-dot chain line in FIG. 1, and the printing layer 5 may be laminated on the limited area. When forming the low-hardness coating film layer 4b in a limited area of the surface 1t, it is effective to separate both areas using a masking method.

In the above embodiment, the printing layer 5 is composed of the solid printing layer 5a made of colored and transparent ink and the character printing layer 5b that displays the characters (abcdefgh) designed with the colored ink. Colorless transparent, colored transparent, colored ink can be selected as appropriate, and various color tones and designs can be selected.
In the above embodiment, as shown in FIG. 2, the solid print layer 5a and the character print layer 5b are both printed on the low hardness coating layer 4b. However, the solid print layer 5a is printed on the solid print layer 5a. For example, the printing layer can be formed in multiple layers by overlapping the printing layer on the printing layer, such as printing the layer 5b.
In this case, even if the pencil hardness of the surface of the printing layer is 2H or more, the adhesion between the layers can be ensured by using the ink having the same component composition even when printing is repeated.
Further, the printing method is not limited to the ink jet printing method, and can be performed by a conventionally known printing method such as a screen printing method, an offset printing method, a flexographic printing method, or the like.

As described above, the surface-decorated synthetic resin molded product of the present invention can exhibit both the surface scratch resistance and the adhesion of the printing layer at a high level, and the decoration function is deteriorated due to the surface scratching and peeling of the printing layer. And can maintain a high-quality decorative state for a long period of time, and is expected to be widely used in cosmetic containers and the like.
