Description
本願は2009年2月23日付けで出願された米国仮特許出願第61/208,379号、2009年7月30日付けで出願された米国仮特許出願第61/273,090号、及び2009年8月26日付けで出願された米国仮特許出願第61/236,925号(これらは各々その全体が参照により本明細書中に援用される)の利点を主張している。
熱量測定試験を、様々なサセプタ構造により生じる熱流束、及び様々なサセプタ構造により達成される最大温度を決定するために行った。
様々な加熱時間による実施例1に記載の熱量測定試験を用いて、従来型のサセプタ構造(構造1−1)のマイクロ波の反射、吸収及び透過(RAT)の性質を実験サセプタ構造(構造1−3)と比較した。さらに加熱後のそれぞれのサンプルを検査するために画像解析を用いて、新たなパラメーターとして、視野面積で除算したクレージング周囲長(P/A、mm/mm2)を構造1−1の幾つかの加熱時間に関して求めた。またメリット係数をそれぞれの加熱時間で算出した。ここで、
メリット係数=吸収(A)/(1−反射(R))。
結果を表2及び表3に示す。構造1−3ではほとんど又は全くクレージングが観察されなかったので、P/Aデータは表3には示していない。
画像解析を用いて、様々なサセプタ構造を使用した食品のブラウニングの程度を決定した。それぞれの例では、スタウファーのフラットブレッド溶解物を1000Wの電子レンジにおいて約2.5分間サセプタ構造で加熱した。加熱サイクルが完了したら、食品を裏返し、サセプタに隣接して加熱された食品の側面を撮影した。Adobeのフォトショップを用いて、画像を評価した。そのために、様々なRGB(赤色/緑色/青色)定値を褐色の様々な色合いに対応させるように選択した(より高い定値はより明るい色合いに対応する)。それぞれのRGB定値で、この色合いを有するピクセル数を数えた。公差は20を用いた。結果を表4に示す。全ての構造が或る程度のブラウニング及び/又はクリスピングを示したが、構造1−3は食品又はサセプタ構造を焦がすことなく最大のブラウニング及びクリスピングを示した。
様々なフィルム及びサセプタ構造を評価のために調製した。2つのフィルム製造業者を利用して、APETフィルムを調製した:SML Maschinengesellschaft mbH(Lenzing, Austria)(「SML」)(サンプル5−3)及びPure-Stat Technologies, Inc.(Lewiston, ME)(「Pure−Stat」)(サンプル5−4〜サンプル5−15)。さらに、Dartek(登録商標)N201ナイロン6,6(Liqui-box Canada, Whitby, Ontario, Canada)を評価した(サンプル5−2)。Mylar(登録商標)800二軸延伸PET(DuPont Teijin(商標) Films, Hopewell, VA)(サンプル5−1)を対照材料として評価した。
ΔUBは、ブラウニングしていない生地に関するベースライン値(24313)を減算した所定のサンプルに関するピクセル数であり、
Δ%Impは対照サンプル(構造5−1)で得られた結果に対する改善(%)である。
Claims (25)
- マイクロ波エネルギー相互作用構造であって、
マイクロ波エネルギーへの暴露前に0%より大きく、50%未満の結晶度を有するポリマーフィルムであって、該結晶度が密度測定を用いて決定されるポリマーフィルム;及び
該ポリマーフィルム上のマイクロ波エネルギー相互作用材料層であって、衝突するマイクロ波エネルギーのうちの少なくとも一部を熱エネルギーに変換するように作用するマイクロ波エネルギー相互作用材料層を含むマイクロ波エネルギー相互作用構造。 - 前記ポリマーフィルムが、マイクロ波エネルギーへの暴露前に0%より大きく、25%未満の結晶度を有する請求項1に記載のマイクロ波エネルギー相互作用構造。
- 前記ポリマーフィルムが、マイクロ波エネルギーへの暴露前に0%より大きく、10%未満の結晶度を有する請求項1に記載のマイクロ波エネルギー相互作用構造。
- 前記ポリマーフィルムが、マイクロ波エネルギーへの暴露前に0%より大きく、7%未満の結晶度を有する請求項1に記載のマイクロ波エネルギー相互作用構造。
- 前記ポリマーフィルムが、マイクロ波エネルギーへの暴露前に5%の結晶度を有する請求項1に記載のマイクロ波エネルギー相互作用構造。
- マイクロ波エネルギー相互作用構造であって、
マイクロ波エネルギーへの暴露前に0%より大きく、7%未満の結晶度を有するポリマーフィルム;及び
該ポリマーフィルム上のマイクロ波エネルギー相互作用材料層であって、衝突するマイクロ波エネルギーのうちの少なくとも一部を熱エネルギーに変換するように作用するマイクロ波エネルギー相互作用材料層を含むマイクロ波エネルギー相互作用構造。 - マイクロ波エネルギー相互作用構造であって、
マイクロ波エネルギーへの暴露前に0%より大きく、10%未満の結晶度を有するポリマーフィルム;及び
該ポリマーフィルム上のマイクロ波エネルギー相互作用材料層であって、衝突するマイクロ波エネルギーのうちの少なくとも一部を熱エネルギーに変換するように作用するマイクロ波エネルギー相互作用材料層を含むマイクロ波エネルギー相互作用構造。 - マイクロ波エネルギー相互作用構造であって、
マイクロ波エネルギーへの暴露前に0%より大きく、50%未満の結晶度を有するポリマーフィルム;及び
該ポリマーフィルム上のマイクロ波エネルギー相互作用材料層であって、該マイクロ波エネルギー相互作用構造がマイクロ波エネルギーのうちの一部を吸収するよう作用させるように作用するマイクロ波エネルギー相互作用材料層を含み、該構造が、マイクロ波エネルギーへの80秒間の暴露の後に、衝突するマイクロ波エネルギーのうちの少なくとも47%を吸収するよう作用するマイクロ波エネルギー相互作用構造。 - マイクロ波エネルギー相互作用構造であって、
マイクロ波エネルギーへの暴露前に0%より大きく、50%未満の結晶度を有するポリマーフィルム、及び
