Description
繊維強化ポリマーマトリックスの複合体(PMC)は、攻撃的な環境に対する抵抗、高い強度および/または低い重量を要求する適用物に一般に使用される、高性能の構造材料である。このような適用物の例は、航空機の構成部品(例えば、尾翼、主翼、胴体、プロペラ)、船体および自転車のフレームを含む。PMCはポリマー樹脂のようなマトリックス材料と一緒に接着された繊維の層を含んでなる。繊維はマトリックスを強化し、複合体により支えられる大部分の荷重を担持し、他方マトリックスは、複合体により支えられる荷重の僅かな部分を担持し、更に破断された繊維からの荷重を正常な繊維に移す。この方法で、PMCは、マトリックスまたは繊維のいずれかが単独で支えることができるよりも大きな荷重を支えることができる。更に、複合体は、強化繊維を特定の幾何学構造または配向に適合させることにより、重量および体積を効率的に最少にするようにさせることができる。

注入段階の前に樹脂を更に加熱して粘度を下げ、注入段階中に繊維プレフォームへ樹脂が流れるのを可能とする
請求項1〜2のいずれかの方法。 - 更に1以上の追加の折りたためる樹脂充填バッグが真空バッグ中に設置され、それらが直列に連結しているか、または、各樹脂充填バッグと繊維プレフォームが別個の供給ラインを介して流体で連絡している請求項1の方法。
- 供給ラインが更に弁を含み、注入段階前に弁が閉じられ、注入段階中に弁が開けられて樹脂が繊維プレフォームへ樹脂が流れるのを可能とする請求項1の方法。
- 樹脂充填バッグが外界温度で50〜700cpの粘度を有する樹脂を含む請求項1または5の方法。
- 注入段階が更に樹脂を繊維プレフォーム中に機械的に押し流す工程を含んでなる、請求項1の方法。
- 真空圧が1気圧以下である、請求項1〜7のいずれかの方法。
- 複合体が硬化後の複合体の総体積に基づき0.1〜1.5容量%間の多孔度を有する、請求項1〜8のいずれかの方法。
- 定圧下での真空補助樹脂トランスファー成形のための装置であって、
1の真空バッグ内に密閉された繊維プレフォーム、
前記真空バッグ内に密閉された折りたためる樹脂充填レザボア、ここで、樹脂充填レザボアが繊維プレフォームと供給ラインを介して流体で連絡している、および
樹脂充填バッグおよび繊維プレフォームを実質的に同一真空下に維持する手段、ここで、注入樹脂が繊維プレフォーム中に実質的に何の圧力勾配も形成しない
を含む装置。 - 折りたためる樹脂充填レザボアが折りたためる樹脂充填バッグである請求項10の装置
- 樹脂充填レザボアがピストンに駆動されるレザボアである、請求項10の装置。
