Claims (7)
- ポリマーチューブが周囲よりも高い内部圧力を有し、前記ポリマーチューブが前記ポリマーチューブの軸に沿って加熱されるにつれて前記ポリマーチューブの半径方向の変形が前記軸に沿って伝播するように、前記変形したポリマーチューブからステントを製作する際に使用される前記ポリマーチューブを半径方向に変形させるステップと;
前記ポリマーチューブから製作されるステントの選択された破壊耐性を提供するために、前記ポリマーチューブの温度を制御するステップであって、前記選択された破壊耐性を提供する前記ポリマーチューブのモルフォロジーを提供するように前記温度を制御し、前記温度は前記ポリマーの結晶核形成速度が前記ポリマーの結晶成長速度よりも大きい範囲内となるように、前記ポリマーチューブの温度を制御するステップと;
前記変形したポリマーチューブからステントを製作するステップとを備え;
更に、前記ポリマーチューブが前記半径方向に拡張するように加熱するために前記ポリマーチューブの軸に沿って熱源を移動させるステップであって、前記ポリマーチューブの加熱および前記内部圧力の増大が前記ポリマーチューブの半径方向の拡張を可能とする、前記ポリマーチューブの軸に沿って熱源を移動させるステップと;
前記選択された破壊耐性を提供するために、前記内部圧力および前記熱源の移動速度を更に制御するステップとを備え;
前記ポリマーチューブはポリ(L−ラクチド)チューブであり、
前記内部圧力は827kPa乃至896kPaの範囲にまで増大され、
前記熱源の移動速度は、0.5mm/s乃至0.7mm/sの範囲であり、
前記ポリ(L−ラクチド)チューブは摂氏82度乃至摂氏104度の範囲にまで加熱され、
前記内部圧力は半径方向の変形速度をもたらし、前記熱源の移動速度は軸方向の変形速度をもたらし、前記変形速度が、内部応力を減少させて配向した分子構造の発達を促進する、
ステントを製作する方法。 - 前記温度を制御して、分散させた結晶領域を有する非晶性マトリックスにより構成された前記変形したポリマーチューブのモルフォロジーを提供する、
請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記結晶領域は、10マイクロメートル未満の結晶サイズにより構成された、
請求項2に記載の方法。 - 前記温度を制御して、40%未満の結晶化度により構成された前記変形したポリマーチューブのモルフォロジーを提供する、
請求項1乃至請求項3のいずれか一項に記載の方法。 - 前記ステントの選択された破壊耐性は、前記半径方向に拡張された場合の前記ステントの破壊耐性を含む、
請求項1乃至請求項4のいずれか一項に記載の方法。 - 前記温度を制御して、50%の結晶化度により構成された前記変形したポリマーチューブのモルフォロジーを提供する、
請求項1乃至請求項3のいずれか一項に記載の方法。 - 前記温度を制御して、分散させた結晶領域を有する非晶性マトリックスにより構成された前記変形したポリマーチューブのモルフォロジーを提供し、前記結晶領域は、15マイクロメートル未満の結晶サイズにより構成された、
請求項1に記載の方法。
