Description
本発明のバックライトユニットは、光を変換領域でだけ変換し、透明領域を通過した光は変換されない。したがってバックライトユニットは、第1の色の光によるエリアと、光の方向で変換素子面の後方にある混合光とによる照明エリアである。とりわけ第1の色の光により照明される変換素子面の後方のエリアと混合光により照明される変換素子面の後方のエリアとは別個のエリアである。
・放射発生エピタキシャル層シーケンスの(担体層に面した)第1の主エリアに反射層が適用されるか、または形成され、該反射層はエピタキシャル層シーケンスで生成された電磁放射の少なくとも一部を当該エピタキシャル層シーケンスに反射し、
・エピタキシャル層シーケンスは20μm以下の層厚、有利には10μmの領域の層厚を有し、
・前記エピタキシャル層シーケンスは、少なくとも1つのエリアを備える少なくとも1つの半導体層を含み、前記エリアは、理想的に光を該エピタキシャル層シーケンスにほぼエルゴード分布させる混合構造を有し、すなわちこの混合構造は近似的にエルゴード的確率分散特性を有する。
透明領域2aと変換領域2bが半導体コンポーネント4の行にしたがい配列されている場合、領域3a、3b、3cも相応に配列される。
Claims (12)
- 光源(1)と、変換素子(2)と、フィルタ素子(3)とを有するバックライトユニット(10)であって、
・前記光源(1)は複数の半導体コンポーネント(4)を備え、各半導体コンポーネント(4)は第1の色の光を放射し、
・前記変換素子(2)は、前記第1の色の光を変化させないで通過させるための複数の透明領域(2a)と、前記第1の色の光を変換し、混合光を形成するための複数の変換領域(2b)とを有し、
・前記フィルタ素子(3)は、複数の第1の色領域(3a)、複数の第2の色領域(3b)および複数の第3の色領域(3c)を有し、当該すべての色領域(3a,3b,3c)はストライプ状に形成されており、
第2の色の光が、前記混合光から、前記第2の色領域(3b)で形成され、第3の色の光が、前記混合光から、前記第3の色領域(3c)で形成される、バックライトユニットにおいて、
前記複数の半導体コンポーネント(4)は、1つの平面に行と列のアレイを形成するよう配列されており、
前記変換素子(2)の前記変換領域(2b)はストライプ状に形成されており、各ストライプは2×n列に相当し、ここでnは自然数であり、
前記フィルタ素子(3)の前記第2の色領域(3b)と前記第3の色領域(3c)の各ストライプは1×n列に相当し、ここでnは自然数であり、
前記第2の色領域(3b)と前記第3の色領域(3c)とは、光の方向(D)において、前記変換素子(2)の前記ストライプ状の変換領域(2b)の後方に配置されている、バックライトユニット。 - 請求項1記載のバックライトユニット(10)において、
前記フィルタ素子(3)の前記第1の色領域(3a)は、前記第1の色の光を変化させず通過させるため透明である、バックライトユニット。 - 請求項1または2記載のバックライトユニット(10)において、
前記フィルタ素子(3)の前記第2の色領域(3b)は、前記第2の色を、前記混合光から形成するためのカラーフィルタを有する、バックライトユニット。 - 請求項1乃至3のいずれか1項に記載のバックライトユニット(10)において、
前記フィルタ素子(3)の前記第3の色領域(3c)は、前記第3の色を、前記混合光から形成するためのカラーフィルタを有する、バックライトユニット。 - 請求項1乃至4のいずれか1項に記載のバックライトユニット(10)において、
前記変換領域(2b)は、前記第2の色と前記第3の色に相当する波長で放射する燐光体を有する、バックライトユニット。 - 請求項1乃至5のいずれか1項に記載のバックライトユニット(10)において、
前記変換素子(2)は、光の方向(D)において、前記光源(1)の後方に配置されており、前記フィルタ素子(3)は、光の方向(D)において、前記変換素子(2)の後方に配置されている、バックライトユニット。 - 請求項1乃至6のいずれか1項に記載のバックライトユニット(10)において、
前記変換素子(2)の透明領域(2a)はストライプ状に形成されており、各ストライプは1×n列に相当し、ここでnは自然数である、バックライトユニット。 - 請求項7記載のバックライトユニット(10)において、
前記フィルタ素子(3)の前記第1の色領域(3a)の各ストライプは1×n列に相当し、ここでnは自然数であり、
前記第1の色領域(3a)は、光の方向(D)において、前記変換素子(2)のストライプ状の透明領域(2a)の後方に配置されている、バックライトユニット。 - 請求項1乃至8のいずれか1項に記載のバックライトユニット(10)において、
前記変換素子(2)と前記フィルタ素子(3)は2つの別個のプレートである、バックライトユニット。 - 請求項1乃至8のいずれか1項に記載のバックライトユニット(10)において、
前記変換素子(2)と前記フィルタ素子(3)は1つのプレートに組み込まれており、基板の対向する2つの側に配置されている、バックライトユニット。 - 請求項1乃至8のいずれか1項に記載のバックライトユニット(10)において、
前記変換素子(2)と前記フィルタ素子(3)は1つのプレートに組み込まれており、基板の同じ側に一方が他方の上になるよう配置されている、バックライトユニット。 - 請求項1乃至11いずれか1項に記載のバックライトユニット(10)において、
前記第1の色の光は青色光であり、前記混合光は白色光である、バックライトユニット。
