Claims (14)
- 複合血液産物からの、選択された細胞成分の収量を予測する方法であって、
該複合血液産物を分離容器(6、301)内で遠心分離して、該複合血液産物を、少なくとも1つの選択された細胞成分と他の成分とに分離するステップと、
該分離された細胞成分又は他の成分のうちの1つを、該分離容器(6、301)から採取容器(3、4、5、302、315)に搾出(expressing)するステップと、
該搾出するステップ中に、該分離容器(6、301)から該採取容器(3、4、5、302、315)へ搾出される細胞成分又は他の成分の移動を感知して、該搾出された成分を示す信号を生成するステップと、
該信号から、該分離された細胞成分の収量を予測するステップと
を含み、
該搾出するステップは、該分離された細胞成分を搾出するステップを含み、該分離された細胞成分は血小板成分であり、
該予測された収量が、該分離された血小板成分をプールするのに望ましいかどうかを決定するステップと、
該予測された収量が望ましくない場合には、該分離された血小板成分の搾出を停止し、又は他の分離された成分の収集に有利となるように搾出を変更するステップと
をさらに含む、方法。 - 前記搾出するステップは、前記分離容器を圧搾して、前記分離された細胞成分を搾出するステップを含み、該圧搾するステップは、液圧流体を流して該分離容器を圧搾するステップを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記感知するステップは、光電セルで前記分離された成分の移動を感知し、さらに、複合血液産物中の、前記分離された選択細胞成分と他の細胞成分の界面を光電セルで感知するステップを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記分離された細胞成分はバフィーコートを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記遠心分離するステップが、さらに、前記複合血液産物から血漿成分を分離するステップと、
前記血小板成分を搾出する前に、該血漿成分を前記分離容器から血漿採取容器に搾出するステップと
を含む、請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記移動を感知するステップは、さらに、前記信号の前縁及び後縁から、搾出された成分の体積を求めるステップを含み、前記予測するステップは、さらに、前記搾出される量から前記収量を予測するステップを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記予測するステップは、複数の複合血液産物からの複数の選択された細胞成分の収量を予測するステップを含む請求項1に記載の方法。
- 複数のバフィーコート又は無作為の供血者からの血小板収集物を混ぜ合わせて、再輸血用(for reinfusion)の血小板製剤を実現する方法であって、
該血小板製剤に関して所望の血小板収量を決定するステップと、
請求項1から11の何れか1項に記載の方法を使用して、該複数の収集物について、各収集物の血小板収量を予測するステップと、
選択された収集物の予測された血小板収量の合計が、該血小板製剤に関する所望の収量に近似するように、複数の収集物から特定の収集物を選択するステップと、
該選択された収集物を混ぜ合わせて、混合血小板産物を生成するステップと
を含む方法。 - 前記収集物がバフィーコート収集物であり、さらに、
選択されたバフィーコート収集物の混合物から血小板を分離するステップと、
分離された血小板を収集して血小板産物を形成するステップと
を含む請求項8に記載の方法。 - 複合血液産物からの、選択された細胞成分の収量を予測するための装置であって、
分離容器(6、301)と、
少なくとも1つの採取容器(3、4、5、302、315)と、
該複合血液産物を該分離容器(6、301)内で遠心分離して、該複合血液産物を、該選択された細胞成分及び少なくとも1つの他の成分に分離するための遠心分離機と、
該分離された細胞成分又は該少なくとも1つの他の成分のうちの1つを、該分離容器(6、301)から該少なくとも1つの採取容器(3、4、5、302、315)に搾出するためのシステムと、
該搾出中に、該分離容器から該少なくとも1つの採取容器へ搾出される成分の移動を感知して、該搾出された成分の移動を示す信号を生成するためのセンサ(73、374)と、
該信号から、該搾出された成分の収量を予測するための制御装置(80、390)と
を備え、
該分離された細胞成分は血小板成分を含み、
該制御装置は、該予測された収量が、該分離された血小板成分をプールするのに望ましいかどうかを決定し、予測された収量が望ましくない場合には、該分離された血小板成分の搾出を、別の分離された成分の収集に有利となるように変更する、装置。 - 前記搾出用のシステムが、前記分離容器を圧搾して前記搾出成分を搾出するための油圧システムを備える請求項10に記載の装置。
- 前記搾出された成分は前記分離された細胞成分を含み、該分離された細胞成分はバフィーコートを含む請求項10に記載の装置。
- 前記搾出された成分は前記分離された細胞成分であり、前記センサは、前記分離された細胞成分層の前縁及び後縁を感知し、
前記制御装置は、該前縁及び該後縁から、前記搾出された分離細胞成分の体積を求め、前記制御装置は、前記体積から、前記分離された細胞成分の収量を予測する、請求項10に記載の装置。 - 前記センサが、前記他の成分の移動を感知して、前記他の成分の体積を決定し、
前記制御装置が、前記複合血液産物の全体の体積から前記他の成分の体積を引いて、前記選択された細胞成分の体積を決定し、
該制御装置が、前記分離された細胞成分の体積から、該選択された細胞成分の収量を予測する、請求項10に記載の装置。
