Description
The present invention relates to an improvement of a pulse-type electrical stimulation device, and more particularly, to a stimulation device with a higher therapeutic effect in which the strength and sense of stimulation are improved.
As shown in FIG. 3 (A), the electrical stimulation device is usually composed of an electrical stimulation
Prior to use, when the
Thereafter, when the output adjustment key of the operation unit is operated, the electrical stimulation signal generated by the electrical stimulation
In this way, the electrical stimulation device amplifies the stimulation current of the set stimulation condition to a desired intensity, and sends the current to the living body via the electrode attached to the skin surface, thereby stimulating nerves, muscles, and the like. It is used to increase blood flow in tissues, restore muscle function, and relieve pain.
As the stimulation device, one using a pulse signal or a sinusoidal AC signal is used.
A pulse-type electric stimulator usually uses a pulse signal having a frequency of 1000 Hz or less. This stimulation signal can efficiently stimulate nerves, but because the frequency is low, skin impedance is high, and when a strong current of a certain level or more is applied, a sharp skin surface electrical stimulation feels and the current is further increased. Cause pain and in some cases burns. That is, a low-frequency pulse electrical stimulation device cannot supply a large current to a living body, and is therefore unsuitable for strong stimulation such as muscle stimulation.
An increasing number of pulse-type stimulators are used with a low skin impedance by using a high-frequency current of 1000 Hz or higher.
On the other hand, if electrical stimulation is continued, habituation to the stimulation occurs and the therapeutic effect is reduced. In order to solve this problem, a device that irregularly outputs a pulse signal as shown in FIG. 5 has been proposed (for example, Patent Document 2).
As shown in FIG. 4,
However, since the frequency change is small in the conventional interference low-frequency treatment device, electric stimulation is easily accustomed to the living body.
In
In electrical stimulation, in order to stimulate muscles, it is necessary to flow a large current so that strong stimulation can be obtained. In addition, it is necessary to reduce habituation so that there is no unpleasant electrical stimulation when a strong stimulus is applied. An object of this invention is to provide the new electrical stimulation apparatus which solves these subjects.

Therefore, in the invention according to
An electrical stimulus signal generator for generating a stimulus signal;
An amplification unit for amplifying the stimulation signal generated by the electrical stimulation signal generation unit;
A control unit for controlling the device;
In the pulse electrical stimulation device having an electrode that supplies the living body with the stimulation signal amplified by the amplification unit,
The stimulation signal is a repetition of a sinusoidal pulse (P) having a variable period (T) and a variable pulse width (t),
Along with pulse width modulation means for modulating the pulse width (t) with an arbitrary function,
Frequency modulation means for modulating the frequency of the period (T) with an arbitrary function is provided.
In the pulse electrical stimulation device according to
Pulse generating means for generating a pulse (P) having a pulse width t;
Pulse width modulation means for performing pulse width modulation on the pulse (P) generated by the pulse generator with a pulse width modulation signal having an arbitrary waveform and frequency;
A pause period setting means for generating a pause period tr of zero output following the pulse (P ′) having a pulse width t ′ subjected to pulse width modulation of the pulse (P);
A period setting means for obtaining a period T from the pulse width t ′ and the pause period tr;
And providing
It is also possible to output the stimulation signal by adjusting the period tr of the pulse output zero so that the period T becomes a constant value .
Furthermore, a frequency modulation means for modulating the pulse signal of the pulse period T in the pulse electrical stimulation apparatus with a frequency modulation signal having an arbitrary waveform and frequency is provided, and the pulse (P) is subjected to pulse width modulation, and the pulse period T is changed to the frequency. It can also be modulated .
Further, in the pulse electrical stimulation device, the pulse (P) can be a sine wave of one cycle .
In the invention according to
According to the first aspect of the present invention, it is possible to generate a pulse-stimulated current waveform having a pulse width of T, a pulse width of t, and a rest period of tr. Moreover, the pulse width modulation unit performs pulse width modulation on the pulse P with a pulse width modulation signal having an arbitrary waveform and frequency.
For this reason, the pulse width can be changed from t0 to tn, for example, and the power of one pulse (one cycle T) can be changed greatly. That is, the power of the pulse changes greatly, and the stimulation intensity can be changed greatly. Further, since the pulse width changes, the frequency component can be changed greatly. In addition, the modulation pattern (period and waveform) can be arbitrarily set during one cycle in which pulse width modulation is performed. For this reason, the change of a stimulus is large and habituation can be prevented.
Further, a frequency modulation means for modulating the frequency of the pulse signal of the pulse electrical stimulation device is provided. For this reason, the pulse is subjected to pulse width modulation and pulse frequency modulation.
In other words, in order to further frequency-modulated pulses of period T that pulse width modulation, further changes the pulse width also varies the pulse period. Therefore, it is possible to change the frequency in a larger range pulse signal.
Therefore, power changes larger in pulse signals, the stimulation intensity can be varied even greater. Further, since the pulse width further changes, the frequency component can be changed further greatly. In addition, the modulation pattern (period and waveform) can be arbitrarily set during one cycle in which pulse width modulation is performed. For this reason, the change of a stimulus is large and the habituation prevention effect is further enhanced.
Further, for performing the combined pulse width modulation and frequency modulation, it is possible to simultaneously perceive changes in both stimulation sensation. When both modulations are performed in synchronization, the intensity of both stimuli can be enhanced and perceived.
Also, if both modulations are performed independently, each stimulus can be perceived separately and simultaneously.
It is possible to obtain a stimulus that could not be obtained conventionally, that two current stimuli can be obtained simultaneously.
Also, one cycle sine wave pulse, when used, can be obtained sinusoidal unique soft feeling of stimulation.
In the invention according to
In the following, the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the illustrated embodiments.

The invention of
An electrical stimulation signal generation unit that generates a stimulation signal, an amplification unit that amplifies the stimulation signal generated by the electrical stimulation signal generation unit, a control unit that controls the apparatus, and the stimulation signal amplified by the amplification unit In a pulse electrical stimulation device having an electrode to supply,
Pulse generating means for generating a pulse (P) having a pulse width t;
Pulse width modulation means for performing pulse width modulation on the pulse (P) generated by the pulse generator with a pulse width modulation signal having an arbitrary waveform and frequency;
A pause period setting means for generating a pause period tr of zero output following a pulse (P ′) having a pulse width t ′ obtained by pulse width modulation of the pulse (P);

And providing
The period tr when the pulse output is zero is adjusted so that the period T becomes a constant value, and is output as a stimulation signal.
Further, the pulse electrostimulation device, the frequency modulating means for frequency modulating the pulse period T provided with pulse width modulating the pulse (P), the pulse period T and frequency modulation, may also be output as a stimulus signal.
In the pulse electrical stimulation device, the pulse (P) can be a sine wave of one cycle.
In the invention according to
FIG. 1 shows an embodiment of the present invention. In Figure 1 (A) is a fundamental wave of the pulse used in the present invention, the period is t. According to the invention described in
According to the second aspect of the invention, the frequency is 1000 Hz or more.
Here, an example of a sine wave having a fundamental frequency of 1000 Hz is considered according to
According to the first aspect of the present invention, the fundamental wave of FIG. For example, FIG. 1E shows that the pulse width is halved , a rest period is inserted after that, and the cycle is T. The period t is T / 2, and the pause period tr is also ½ of the period T.
Similarly, the pulse width is modulated to 1 / i and the pause period tr is generated so that the entire period becomes T. FIG. 1F shows that the pulse width is 1/8 and the pulse period becomes T. It is (G) that the pause period tr is generated.
FIG. 1 (H) shows the state when these are output in order from the output of the stimulator.
In this example, the state when the pulse width is modulated to 1/8 is shown, but the degree of modulation may not be 1/8, 1/10, or 1/100. The degree of modulation does not matter.
Although FIG. 1 shows an example in which 8 types of pulse width modulation up to 1/8 are output, the modulated signals may be output continuously.
When the fundamental wave is 1000 Hz and the pulse width is modulated to be 1/8, a pulse waveform of 8000 Hz is obtained. The 1000 Hz pulse strongly contracts the muscles, so the stimulation is strong. On the other hand, with a pulse of 8000 Hz, muscle contraction is not obtained and a feeling of stimulation is not obtained. However, it is known that a pulse without a sense of stimulation at 8000 Hz has a very low skin resistance and electrical resistance of body tissues, so that it reaches the deep part and has a therapeutic effect such as pain relief. For this reason, according to the present invention, it is possible to perform muscle stimulation and deep stimulation without discomfort. In addition, an effect of increasing blood flow and resulting eutrophication / activation of tissue can be obtained.
When the frequency changes in such a large range, not only a difference in muscle contraction force but also a difference in electrical stimulation sensation can be perceived, and a different stimulation sensation can be perceived in each frequency region. For this reason, since various stimuli are obtained, the familiarity with electrical stimulation is also reduced.
The waveform and frequency of the pulse width modulation signal are not shown, but are arbitrary, and the waveform may be any sine wave, triangular wave, rectangular wave, or any other frequency. A sine wave is suitable for a soft stimulus with less discomfort, and a rectangular wave is suitable for a strong mechanical compression stimulus. You can specify slow stimulation, fast stimulation, or the period of the modulation signal.
The output is not described here because the stimulation is usually performed by adjusting the output to an appropriate size by operating the output adjustment volume at the start of stimulation.
As described above, when the amplitude of the pulse fluctuates, this is perceived as a feeling of stimulation, usually as an unpleasant feeling of stimulation. However, since the amplitude may be changed for a certain purpose, it may be constant or changed.
Further, an embodiment in FIG. The present invention stimulus signal (FIG. 2 (A)), and frequency modulation. In the figure, the pulse width of the fundamental wave is modulated to 1/8, and a constant period T is frequency-modulated until T becomes T / 8 in synchronization with this.
In this case, if a basic pulse with a frequency of 1000 Hz is used, the pulse period is 1/8 and the sine wave period is 1/64. That is, 1 kHz changes to 64 kHz.
The waveform and frequency of the frequency modulation signal are arbitrary.
Although a stimulation feeling exceeding several kHz is hardly obtained, it has a stimulation effect and is effective for pain relief and the like. Even if the stimulation signal is several kHz or more, if amplitude modulation is performed, the muscle stimulation effect (muscle contraction) can be sufficiently obtained up to 10 kHz.
On the other hand, when the frequency is greatly changed in the so-called medium frequency region where the frequency is 1 kHz or more, as described above, not only the difference in muscle contraction force but also the difference in electrical stimulation sensation can be perceived. Because the sensation can be perceived, less familiarity with electrical stimulation occurs.
Taking these into consideration, the frequency change range may be determined.
As described above, the present invention uses a sinusoidal signal with less unpleasant stimulation, uses it in a high region where the frequency exceeds 1000 Hz, performs pulse width modulation, and further performs frequency modulation. For this reason, the frequency changes greatly, and therefore, the familiarity with electrical stimulation is reduced.
Since the frequency is high, the skin impedance is small, and there is little discomfort of electrical stimulation, and a large current can be supplied to the deep part.
For this reason, when the frequency is changed, stimulation can be performed from the surface layer portion to the deep portion.
Moreover, since not only nerve stimulation but also muscle stimulation can be performed sufficiently strongly, it is possible to effectively treat muscle diseases, pain, and the like from the surface layer portion to the deep portion.
When the frequency changes between 1000 Hz, 2000 Hz, 3000 Hz, etc., it is possible to perceive a change in the sense of electrical stimulation. In the present invention, when the fundamental frequency is 1500 Hz and the frequency is changed to about 10 times by pulse width modulation and about 2 times by frequency modulation, the frequency changes from 1500 to 30000 Hz. Perceived and discernable. For this reason, it is possible to prevent habituation of electrical stimulation and to obtain a varied stimulation sensation.
As described above, the present invention can solve the conventional problems and provide an electrical stimulation device that can obtain a new effect.
