キャスタの車輪を操作ペダルの操作で制動乃至制動解除する制動構造において、
キャスタの支持ヨークに固定されて車輪を跨ぐように取り付けられる断面チャンネル状のブレーキ取付部と、
該ブレーキ取付部の左右の側壁の上部に掛け渡されたペダル軸部と、
該ペダル軸部を支点にして枢動する操作ペダルと
該操作ペダルの下部に形成された軸連結部と、
該軸連結部に左右の軸を回転可能に連結するクランク軸と、
該クランク軸の凹部のピンを回転可能に連結するピン連結部を上部に有し、下部に車輪のトレッド面を押圧する制動部を有する作動部材と、
前記ペダル軸部とクランク軸の凹部のピンとの間に掛け渡されて接近方向となる制動解除方向に付勢する付勢手段と、
該作動部材の左右の側壁面と前記支持ヨーク又はブレーキ取付部の側壁面とに設けられて、作動部材を車輪の接近方向乃至離間方向にガイドする一対のガイド部とからなることを特徴とするキャスタの制動構造。
