Description
高温シールは多くの工業用途で必要とされる。例えば、タービン環境の高い作動温度に曝露されるガス又は蒸気タービンのシュラウドダンパー系には、漏れに強くかつ長期耐久性という目標を満足できる耐損傷シール系が必要とされる。具体的には、金属ダンパーはシュラウドアセンブリの特定の振動モードの減衰に用いられるが、タービンの主要流路からのガスの漏れとそれに伴う装置の効率低下を防ぐために高温シールを必要とする。

Claims (9)
- 500℃超の高温環境に曝露されると酸化のためスウェリングを起こす炭化ケイ素セラミックマトリックス複合材料とスロット(32)内に挿入できる1以上の突出部とを含んでなる内部領域(14)、及び
内部領域(14)の被覆部の酸化スウェリングを実質的に防止する耐環境コーティング(22)
を備える高温シールであって、
耐環境コーティング(22)が内部領域(14)の外面に、1以上の突出部の遠位端が部分的に被覆されずに残り、残りの内部領域がコーティングで実質的に被覆されるように配置されている、高温シール。 - 前記セラミックマトリックス複合材料が連続繊維セラミックマトリックス複合材料を含む、請求項1記載の高温シール。
- 前記突出部の遠位端の非被覆部が高温環境に曝露されると突出部の酸化スウェリングが起こる、請求項1又は請求項2記載の高温シール。
- 前記高温環境がガスタービン内の高温ガス経路である、請求項1乃至請求項3のいずれか1項記載の高温シール。
- 内部領域(14)が対向する長側面(16)と対向する短側面(18)で画成される略長方形の断面を有しており、短側面(18)の各々が前記突出部の遠位端をなす、請求項1乃至請求項4のいずれか1項記載の高温シール。
- 短側面(18)の各々が被覆されていない、請求項5記載の高温シール。
- 少なくとも1つの長側面(16)が、短側面(18)の近傍で内側に傾斜している、請求項5記載の高温シール。
- 少なくとも1つの短側面(18)が部分的に被覆されていて、非被覆部が短側面(18)の略中央で窓(52)をなす、請求項5記載の高温シール。
- 窓(52)の非被覆部が高温環境に曝露されると突出部の酸化スウェリングが起こり、窓(52)が突出部に望まれるスウェリング量に基づく所定の寸法を有する、請求項8記載の高温シール。
