Claims (8)
- 導電性基材上に正極活物質層が形成された正極板と導電性基材上に負極活物質層が形成された負極板とがセパレータを介して積層された状態で巻回された発電要素を備え、正極板は、巻回方向と直交する一方向の一端部に正極活物質層の非形成領域からなる正極リード部が形成され、且つ、正極活物質層の形成領域の前記一方向の両エッジが負極活物質層の形成領域と重なるように正極活物質層が形成され、負極板は、前記一方向の他端部に負極活物質層の非形成領域からなる負極リード部が形成され、前記正極リード部及び負極リード部のそれぞれが外部端子に対して電気的に接続された二次電池において、前記正極板は、前記正極活物質層の形成領域における前記一方向の少なくとも何れか一方のエッジと隣接し、且つ負極活物質層の形成領域における前記一方向の少なくとも何れか一方のエッジと対向する領域に前記正極活物質層と異なる正極補助活物質層が形成されていることを特徴とする二次電池。
- 導電性基材上に正極活物質層が形成された正極板と導電性基材上に負極活物質層が形成された負極板とがセパレータを介して積層された発電要素を備え、正極板は、少なくとも一部の端部に正極活物質層の非形成領域からなる正極リード部が形成され、且つ、正極活物質層の形成領域を画定するエッジが負極活物質層の形成領域と重なるように正極活物質層が形成され、負極板は、少なくとも一部の端部に負極活物質層の非形成領域からなる負極リード部が形成され、前記正極リード部及び前記負極リード部は、互いに重ならないように配置されてそれぞれが外部端子に対して電気的に接続された二次電池において、前記正極板は、前記正極活物質層の形成領域を画定するエッジの少なくとも一部と隣接し、且つ負極活物質層の形成領域を画定するエッジの少なくとも一部と対向する領域に前記正極活物質層と異なる正極補助活物質層が形成されていることを特徴とする二次電池。
- 前記正極補助活物質層は、該正極補助活物質層の形成領域における面積あたりの満充電時の電荷放出量が前記正極活物質層よりも低く設定されている請求項1又は2に記載の二次電池。
- 前記正極補助活物質層の形成領域の満充電時の電荷放出量の合計が、該正極補助活物質層と対向する負極板の負極活物質層の形成領域の電荷吸蔵可能量よりも低く設定されている請求項1乃至3の何れか1項に記載の二次電池。
- 前記正極補助活物質層の形成領域は、負極板上の負極活物質層の形成領域の一方向の両エッジと重なるように、前記正極活物質層の形成領域に対して一方向の両側に形成されている請求項1乃至4の何れか1項に記載の二次電池。
- 前記正極補助活物質層は、導電性炭素材料がコーティングされている請求項1乃至5の何れか1項に記載の二次電池。
- 前記正極補助活物質層は、オリビン構造を有する活物質である請求項1乃至6の何れか1項に記載の二次電池。
- 前記正極補助活物質層の満充電時の開路電位は、前記正極活物質層の満充電時の開路電位よりも低く設定されている請求項1乃至7の何れか1項に記載の二次電池。
