Description
式1:WS(C)={(d,nd,bd):d=df,df+1,…}
式1において、dfは自由距離(または最小距離dmin)であり、ndは重みdを有する符号語の数であり、bdは、重みdを有する符号語と関連付けられた非ゼロの情報ビットの総数である。各3つ組(d,nd,bd)を重みスペクトルにおけるラインと呼ぶ。畳み込み符号(CC)が重みd1の符号語を持たない場合、対応するライン(d1,nd1,bd1)は存在しない。
は周知のQ関数である。Eb/N0は1ビット当たりのエネルギー対雑音電力スペクトル密度比である。Eb/N0は、本明細書では、信号対雑音比(SNR)の定義として使用する。上記各式から分かるように、畳み込み符号(CC)のFERの上限は、「重複度」ndを最小化することによって下げることができ、BERの上限は、「ビット重複度」bdを最小化することによって下げることができる。

i=1:G1の(df,ndf)が(12,240)であることが分かる。(df,ndf)estを(12,240)に設定し、候補集合を{G1}に設定する。
i=2:G2の(df,ndf)が(13,242)であることが分かる。(13,242)は、(13>12であるため)MFD−FER基準に関して(df,ndf)best=(12,240)より良いため、(df,ndf)bestを(13,242)で更新し、候補集合を{G2}で更新する。
i=3:G3の(df,ndf)が(13,242)であることが分かる。(13,242)は、MFD−FER基準に関して(df,ndf)best=(13,242)と等価であるため、(df,ndf)bestは更新せず、候補集合は{G2,G3}で更新する。
i=4:G4についての(df,ndf)の計算はまだ完了していないが、計算プロセス時には、すでに、G4の(df,ndf)が(df,ndf)bestより悪いことが分かっている。この場合には、G4についての(df,ndf)の計算を早期に停止し、これを条件2という。(df,ndf)bestおよび候補集合は変更されない。
i=5:G5の(df,ndf)は(13,230)であることが分かる。(13,230)は(230<242であるため)MFD−FER基準に関して(df,ndf)best=(13,242)より良いため、(df,ndf)bestを(13,230)で更新し、候補集合を{G5}で更新する。
i=6:G6の(df,ndf)は(14,235)であることが分かる。(14,235)は(14>13であるため)MFD−FER基準に関して(df,ndf)best=(13,230)より良いため、(df,ndf)bestを(14,235)で更新し、候補集合を{G6}で更新する。

i=N:最終的には、(df,ndf)best=(24,659)になり、候補集合内にはN1個の候補が含まれる{GC(1),GC(2),…,GC(N1)}
i=1:GC(1)の最初のL個のラインの重みスペクトルは(24,659;26,440)であり、(24,659)は第1のラインの重みスペクトルであり、(26,440)は第2のラインの重みスペクトルである。最良の最初のL個のラインの重みスペクトルが(24,659;26,440)に設定され、ODS−FER TBCCの集合は{GC(i)}である。
i=2:GC(2)の最初のL個のラインの重みスペクトルは(24,659;26,440)である。最良の最初のL個のラインの重みスペクトルは変更されず、ODS−FER TBCCの集合は{GC(i),GC(2)}に更新される。
i=3:GC(3)の最初のL個のラインの重みスペクトルは(24,659;27,420)である。(24,659;27,420)は(27>26であるため)MFD−FER基準に関して(24,659;26,440)より良いため、最良の最初のL個のラインの重みスペクトルは(24,659;27,420)で更新され、ODS−FER TBCCの集合は{GC(3)}で更新される。
i=4:GC(4)の最初のL個のラインの重みスペクトルは(24,659;27,420)である。最良の最初のL個のラインの重みスペクトルは変更されず、ODS−FER TBCCの集合は{GC(3),GC(4)}に更新される。
i=5:GC(5)についての最初のL個のラインの重みスペクトルの計算はまだ完了していないが、計算プロセス時には、すでに、その最初のL個のラインの重みスペクトルが、それまでの最善である(24,659;27,420)より悪いことが分かっている。この場合には、GC(5)についての最初のL個のラインの重みスペクトルの計算を早期に停止し、これを条件2という。最良の最初のL個のラインの重みスペクトルおよびODS−FER TBCCの集合は変更されない。

i=N1:最終的には、最良の最初のL個のラインの重みスペクトルは(24,659:28,410)になり、ODS−FER TBCCの集合内には14個の符号が含まれる。これら14個の符号が順列等価であるかどうかさらに検査し、順列等価符号を1符号としてカウントすることにより、4つのODS−FER TBCCがあることが分かった。次いで、これらの結果を、表2〜16といった表に入れる。

は、表17に示す第1レベルのパンクチャリングに従って、レート1/5母TBCC、レート1/4TBCC、またはレート1/3TBCCにより符号化される。レート1/4TBCCとレート1/3TBCCとは、集合(16,112,556,636,656)の中から、それぞれ、3つと4つとの生成多項式だけを使用することにより、レート1/5母TBCCからパンクチャされる。TBCC符号器からの符号化ビットは、任意選択で、表17に示す第2レベルのパンクチャリングによってパンクチャされる。図12の符号器について(60,21)(L=21)TBCCを例にとると、21情報ビットはまず、生成多項式の集合(112,556,636)を用いてTBCCにより符号化され、63符号化ビットが生成される。第(3・m)、第(3・m+1)、および第(3・m+2)の符号化ビットが、それぞれ、m=0,1,…,20とする第mの入力情報ビットについての生成多項式112、556、および636からの符号器出力である。第2レベルのパンクチャリングにおいて、第0、第27、および第54の符号化ビットはさらにパンクチャされ、残りの60符号化ビットは符号器を出る。

Claims (18)
- チャネル上で伝送されるデータを操作するためのTail−biting畳み込み符号を実施する方法であって、
(1)前記Tail−biting畳み込み符号のための拘束および低符号化率を指定するステップであって、前記低符号化率は、nを4より大きい整数としたときに1/nより低い、ステップ(4−0)と、
(2)それぞれが前記低符号化率の潜在的符号である、潜在的符号のプールに含めるための生成多項式の有効な組み合わせを選択するステップ(4−1)と、
(3)前記プール内の潜在的符号ごとに重みスペクトルの第1のラインを決定し、最大自由距離―フレーム誤り率MFD−FER、または最大自由距離―ビット誤り率MFD−BERに関して最良の第1のラインを有する前記プールの潜在的符号を候補集合に含めるステップであって、前記第1のラインは重みスペクトルのライン3つ組(d、n d 、b d )の最小距離項(d f 、n df 、b df )に関連し、ここでn d は重みdを有する符号語の数であり、b d は重みdを有する符号語と関連付けられた非ゼロの情報ビットの総数であり、d f は最小距離である、ステップ(4−2)と、
(4)Lを1より大の整数とする前記重みスペクトル内の最初のL個のラインに基づいて前記候補集合の、最適距離スペクトル―フレーム誤り率ODS−FER、または最適距離スペクトル―ビット誤り率ODS−BERに関する最良の符号を決定するステップ(4−3)と、
(5)前記最良の符号の中から(1つまたは複数の)最適な符号を選択するステップ(4−4)と、
(6)前記チャネル上で伝送される前記データを操作するための前記(1つまたは複数の)最適な符号を実施するようにデータ送受信機(60/90)の(1つまたは複数の)回路(120)を構成するステップ(4−5)
とを含み、更に、
前記生成多項式の前記有効な組み合わせを部分集合に分割し、ある部分集合から得られる最適な重みスペクトルを他の部分集合についての事前に知られている距離スペクトルとして使用することによって、各部分集合に対して別々に動作(3)を行うステップと、
を含む方法。 - 前記データ送受信機(60/90)の(1つまたは複数の)シフトレジスタ回路(120)を、前記(1つまたは複数の)最適な符号を実施するように構成するステップをさらに含む請求項1に記載の方法。
- 複数の部分集合に対して同時に、もしくは順次に動作(3)を行うステップをさらに含む請求項1に記載の方法。
- 自由距離パラメータと、加えて重複度パラメータもしくはビット重複度パラメータを使用して、前記最良の符号の中から前記(1つまたは複数の)最適な符号を選択するステップをさらに含む請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記最適な符号に従って構成された前記シフトレジスタ回路を使用して前記チャネル上で伝送されるデータに誤り訂正情報を付加するステップをさらに含む請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記最適な符号は、表2〜表16のいずれかに記載される1組の多項式で表現される請求項1に記載の方法。
- 通信ユニット(20)を操作する方法であって、
前記通信ユニットの回路(120)を、表2〜表16のいずれかに記載される1組の多項式で表現される最適なTail−biting畳み込み符号を実施するように構成するステップと、
前記最適なTail−biting畳み込み符号を使用して通信ネットワークのチャネル上で伝送されるデータを操作するステップ
を含む方法。 - 前記通信ユニット(20)は無線インターフェース(32)上で基地局と通信する無線端末であり、前記チャネル上で伝送される前記データはセカンダリ・ファスト・フィードバック・チャネル(SFBCH)のためのペイロードを含む請求項7に記載の方法。
- 前記回路はシフトレジスタ回路(120)である請求項7に記載の方法。
- 前記最適なTail−biting畳み込み符号を使用して、前記通信ネットワークの前記チャネル上で伝送されるデータの誤り訂正符号化を行うステップをさらに含む請求項7に記載の方法。
- チャネル上のデータ伝送に関与する通信ユニット(20)であって、
前記チャネル上で前記データを送信し、受信するための送受信機(60/90)と、
前記チャネル上で伝送されるデータを操作するための、表2〜表16のいずれかに記載される1組の多項式で表現される低レートの最適なTail−biting畳み込み符号を実施するように構成された回路を備える通信ユニット(20)。 - チャネル上のデータ伝送に関与する通信ユニット(20)であって、このノードは、
前記チャネル上で前記データを送信し、受信するように構成された送受信機(60/90)と、
前記チャネル上で伝送されるデータを操作するための、低レートの最適なTail−biting畳み込み符号を実施するように構成された回路(120)であって、前記最適な符号は請求項1に記載の動作を実行することにより生成された、回路と、
を備える通信ユニット(20)。 - 前記回路はシフトレジスタ回路(120)である請求項11または12に記載の通信ユニット(20)。
- それぞれが異なるレートのものであり、表2〜表16のいずれかに記載される1組の多項式で表現される複数の最適なTail−biting畳み込み符号のうちの個々の異なる符号を実施するようにそれぞれ構成された複数のシフトレジスタ回路(120)と、
前記複数のシフトレジスタ回路(120)のうちの1つを、前記チャネル上の個々のデータ伝送のための処理ストリームに含めるように構成された符号アクティベータ(122)
をさらに備える請求項13に記載の通信ユニット(20)。 - それぞれが異なるレートのものであり、請求項1に記載の動作を実行することにより生成された、複数の最適なTail−biting畳み込み符号のうちの個々の異なる符号を実施するようにそれぞれ構成された複数のシフトレジスタ回路(120)と、
前記複数のシフトレジスタ回路のうちの1つを、前記チャネル上の個々のデータ伝送のための処理ストリームに含めるように構成された符号アクティベータ(122)
をさらに備える請求項13に記載の通信ユニット(20)。 - 前記シフトレジスタ回路(120)は、前記チャネル上で伝送されるデータに誤り訂正情報を付加するように構成された符号器(52)を備える請求項13に記載の通信ユニット(20)。
- 前記通信ユニットはエアインターフェース(32)上で基地局と通信する無線端末であり、前記チャネル上で伝送される前記データはセカンダリ・ファスト・フィードバック・チャネル(SFBCH)のためのペイロードを含む請求項11または12に記載の通信ユニット(20)。
- 実行されると、請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載の方法を行うコンピュータ可読媒体上に記憶された命令を含むコンピュータプログラムを実行するコンピュータを備える符号生成器。
