Description
Claims (9)
- 組織刺激装置であって:
刺激されるべき組織へ長手方向軸と実質的に平行な方向に挿入可能な、前記長手方向軸を有する刺激リード;
前記リードにより保持され、前記長手方向軸の周りに二次元配列に配置される複数の電極;並びに
単極及び双極電気刺激パターンに従い、前記電極を選択的に励起する手段を有し、
電極により生成される刺激電界は、少なくとも三次元で操作可能であり、
前記刺激電界は、時間次元で操作可能であり、
前記リードに保持される基準マーカーを更に有し、前記基準マーカーは、前記リードの回転配向を識別し、
前記基準マーカーは、定位固定ヘッド・フレームと係合する回転非対称部分を有する、装置。 - 前記電極はn回対称であり、nは3以上の整数であり、前記二次元配列は最密配列を有する、請求項1に記載の装置。
- nは6以上の整数である、請求項2に記載の装置。
- 前記基準マーカーは、前記リードが前記組織内に移植されるときに処置される対象物の内部の画像診断検査のときに目に見える、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 空間的及び時間的に変化する電気刺激方法に従い、前記電極を電気的に刺激する手段、を有する請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記刺激方法は、長手方向に非対称である、請求項5に記載の装置。
- 可撓性回路基板を有し、前記基板により電極が保持される、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 電極と電気通信可能な前記リードにより保持される可撓性モノリシック電気回路を有する請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記配列は、長手方向に配置された第1及び第2の列を有し、前記第1及び第2の列は、長手方向に間隔を有し、前記第1及び第2の列は前記間隔より短い距離だけずれている、請求項1に記載の装置。
