Description
本出願は、2007年12月10日に出願された米国特許仮出願第61/007,033号、および2007年12月10日に出願された米国特許仮出願第61/005,990号の優先権を主張するものであり、両出願はそれぞれその全内容が参照により本明細書に組み入れられる。
本発明は、整形外科的関節置換に関し、特に、整形外科的関節置換に使用するための人工デバイス、および人工デバイスを受け入れるように骨を調整するためのシステムに関する。
図1Aは、骨盤12の一部および大腿骨14の近位端を含む股関節10の骨を図示する。大腿骨14の近位端は、上面部14aおよび下面部14bを有し、大腿骨頭16と呼ばれるボール形状部を含む。大腿骨頭16は大腿骨頸18の上に配置されており、大腿骨頸18は大腿骨幹20につながっている。図1Bに示すように、大腿骨頭16は、寛骨臼22と呼ばれる骨盤12中の凹形ソケットに嵌って、股関節10を形成する。寛骨臼22および大腿骨頭16は両方とも、衝撃を吸収して関節10の可動結合(articulation)を促す関節軟骨で覆われている。さらに、図1Cに示すように、大腿骨14の近位端の上面部14aは、高密度の支帯動脈(retinacular vessel)24aが大腿骨頭16および頸部18の骨表面付近または骨表面上に位置する血管領域24を含む。支帯動脈24aは、大腿骨頭16の骨組織に血液を供給する。

Claims (15)

第1および第2の凹状表面が該ステムの中心軸に対して回転方向に非対称であり、

制御システムが、骨の血管領域への侵入を最小限にするように構成された骨切削パターンを規定する、
実質的にカップ形状の人工デバイスを受け入れるように関節の骨を調整するための前記ロボットシステム。 - 制御システムが、骨の血管領域への侵入を最小限にするように構成された少なくとも1つの所定の骨切削パターンを含む、請求項10記載のロボットシステム。
- 制御システムが、骨の構成に基づいて少なくとも1つの所定の骨切削パターンを改変することを可能にするように構成されて、骨の血管領域への侵入をさらに最小限にする、請求項11記載のロボットシステム。
