Claims (16)
- 複数の固体発光デバイスを有するバックライトユニットと1つの液晶シャッタとを含むディスプレイを制御する方法であって、
前記液晶シャッタを含む前記ディスプレイ用の目標色点を受け取ることと、
前記ディスプレイに関連する温度を測定することと、
前記測定温度と前記液晶シャッタを含む前記ディスプレイ用の前記目標色点とに応じて補償目標色点を生成することと、
前記補償目標色点を生成するように、前記バックライトの色点を設定することと
を含み、
前記バックライトの前記色点を設定することは、前記複数の固体発光デバイスの少なくとも1つに印加されるパルス幅変調電流駆動信号のパルス幅を変更すること
を含むことを特徴とする方法。 - 前記目標色点は、2次元色空間内にx座標およびy座標を含み、前記補償目標色点を生成することは、変換式を使用して前記目標色点の前記x座標を変換することを含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記変換式は、線形変換係数を含む線形変換式を含むことを特徴とする請求項2に記載の方法。
- 前記変換式は第1変換式を含み、前記補償目標色点を生成することは、第2変換式を使用して前記目標色点の前記y座標を変換することを含むことを特徴とする請求項2に記載の方法。
- 前記線形変換係数は第1線形変換係数を含み、前記第2変換式は、第2線形変換係数を含む線形変換式を含むことを特徴とする請求項2に記載の方法。
- 前記補償目標色点を生成することは、前記測定温度と較正温度との差に応じて前記補償目標色点を生成することを含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記補償目標色点を生成することは、式
X’=X+mx×DeltaT
Y’=Y+my×DeltaT

- ディスプレイであって、
固体バックライトユニットと、
前記固体バックライトユニットから放出される光を選択的に伝達するよう構成された液晶シャッタと、
前記固体バックライトユニットに結合されており、かつ、前記ディスプレイについて目標色点を受け取り、前記液晶シャッタを含む前記ディスプレイに関連する温度を測定し、前記測定温度と前記液晶シャッタを含む前記ディスプレイ用の前記目標色点とに応じて補償目標色点を生成し、前記補償目標色点を提供するように前記バックライトユニットの色点を設定するよう構成されたフィードバック制御システムであって、前記固体バックライトユニット内の少なくとも1つの固体発光素子に印加されるパルス幅変調信号を制御するよう構成されたコントローラと、前記コントローラに結合しており、前記コントローラからのコマンド信号に応答して前記バックライトユニット内の固体発光素子にパルス幅変調電流駆動信号を供給するよう構成された電流ドライバとを備えているフィードバック制御システムと
を備えることを特徴とするディスプレイ。 - 前記制御システムは、前記コントローラに結合しており、かつ、前記バックライトユニットの光出力を測定するよう構成された光センサをさらに備えることを特徴とする請求項9に記載のディスプレイ。
- 前記目標色点は、2次元色空間に関してx座標およびy座標を含み、前記制御システムは、前記補償色点を得るために、変換式を使用して前記目標色点の前記x座標を変換するよう構成されることを特徴とする請求項9に記載のディスプレイ。
- 前記変換式は、線形変換係数を含む線形変換式を含むことを特徴とする請求項11に記載のディスプレイ。
- 前記変換式は第1変換式を含み、前記線形変換係数は第1線形変換係数を含み、前記制御システムは、第2線形変換係数を含む第2線形変換式を使用して前記目標色点の前記y座標を変換するよう構成されることを特徴とする請求項12に記載のディスプレイ。
- 前記制御システムは、前記測定温度と較正温度との差に応じて前記補償目標色点を生成するよう構成されることを特徴とする請求項9に記載のディスプレイ。
- 前記制御システムは、式
X’=X+mx×DeltaT
Y’=Y+my×DeltaT
を使用して前記補償目標色点を生成するよう構成され、ここで、(X,Y)は前記目標色点の座標を含み、(X’,Y’)は前記補償目標色点の座標を含み、mxおよびmyは、それぞれ、第1および第2の線形変換係数を含み、DeltaTは、前記測定温度と較正温度との差を含むことを特徴とする請求項14に記載のディスプレイ。 - 複数の固体発光デバイスを有する発光ユニットを前記複数の固体発光デバイスの少なくとも1つに印加されるパルス幅変調電流駆動信号のパルス幅を変更することにより制御する方法であって、
目標色点を受け取ることと、
発光ユニットによって出力される光の色点を前記目標色点に設定することと、
前記発光ユニットに関連する温度を測定することと、
液晶シャッタを含む前記発光ユニットの前記測定温度に応じて、前記目標色点と異なる補償目標色点を生成することと、
前記発光ユニットによって出力される光の色点を前記補償目標色点に設定することと
を含むことを特徴とする方法。
