Description

The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a mold apparatus (for example, a mold apparatus capable of forming a vehicle component).

As this type of mold apparatus, a mold apparatus having a first mold, a second mold, and a cavity is known (see Patent Document 1).
The first mold has a first space part on the upper surface side and a mold closing surface around the first space part. The second mold has a second space part on the lower surface side and a mold closing surface around the second space part. Then, by closing the first mold and the second mold, a cavity (molding space) composed of the first space portion and the second space portion can be formed.
Here, the known mold apparatus can mold a cover member of a lamp body (an example of a vehicle component), for example. The cover member is a curved flat plate member, and is exposed to the outside of the lamp body while covering the light source in the lamp body.

By the way, in the above-described mold apparatus, if the closed portions of the first mold and the second mold are not uniform (there is a step or the like), parting lines (PL) and burrs are likely to occur in the molded product.
For this reason, in the manufacturing process of the mold apparatus, an operation of polishing and smoothing the closed portion of the first mold and the second mold is performed. In particular, when a cover member (member exposed to the outside) is molded, it is necessary to carefully polish the closed portions of both molds so that no burrs or the like occur at the exposed portion.

By the way, in the above polishing operation, it is desirable that after closing the first mold and the second mold, the closed portions on the cavity side of both molds are polished and smoothed (co-polished).
However, in the known technique, when the first mold and the second mold are closed, the cavity is hermetically sealed, and the mold closing portion cannot be polished from the cavity side. For this reason, after the closed portions of each mold are individually polished, the molded product is actually molded to check whether burrs or the like are generated.
In this type of configuration, it is necessary to repeat the polishing operation and the molding operation many times in order to smooth the closed portion, and it may take time to manufacture the mold apparatus (this is an inefficient configuration). )
The present invention has been devised in view of the above points, and a problem to be solved by the present invention is to efficiently polish the closed portion of the first mold and the second mold.

As means for solving the above-mentioned problems, the method for manufacturing a mold apparatus according to the first invention is a method for manufacturing a mold apparatus having a first mold and a second mold that can be closed to the first mold. The first mold and the second mold each have a space portion and a mold closing surface around the space portion. And it is the structure which forms the cavity which consists of a space part of a 1st type | mold, and a space part of a 2nd type | mold by closing a 1st type | mold and a 2nd type | mold.
In the present invention, the mold apparatus is manufactured by the following first process, second process, and third process. In the first step, a first mold and a second mold are formed. In the process described later, the closed portion of the first mold and the second mold is polished. In this type of manufacturing method, it is desirable that the same portion can be polished efficiently.

Therefore, in the present invention, the closed portion of the first mold and the second mold is efficiently polished by the following process.
2nd process: The 3rd type | mold which comprises the type | mold closing surface (part or all) and space part of one type | mold is divided | segmented from at least one of a 1st type | mold and a 2nd type | mold.
Third step: In a state where the other mold different from one and the third mold are closed together, the closed portions of both molds are co-polished from the cavity side.
In the present invention, in the third step, the third mold (one mold closing surface and a part of the space) and the other mold are closed while the other part of the space remains in one mold. At this time, the third mold has a gap only in the other part of the space (excluding a part of the space), so the closed part of the other mold and the third mold are co-polished from the cavity side through the gap. Can do.

The manufacturing method of the mold apparatus of the second invention is the manufacturing method of the first invention, and the vehicle component is formed in the mold apparatus. And a vehicle component has the 1st site | part exposed outside in the state arrange | positioned in a vehicle, and the 2nd site | part which will be in a concealment state, without being exposed outside.
In the present invention, at the time of molding the vehicle component, the closed portion of the other mold and the third mold is arranged at the molding site of the first part. Further, the closed portion of one mold and the third mold is disposed at the molding site of the second part.
Therefore, in the present invention, in the above-described third step, the other mold and the third mold are closed without co-polishing the closed portion of the first mold and the third mold from the cavity side, and both molds are closed. The part was co-polished from the cavity side.
In the present invention, a mold apparatus is provided by polishing the closing portion (the polishing-required portion) corresponding to the first portion while omitting the polishing of the closing portion (the portion that does not require polishing) corresponding to the second portion. The polishing work can be simplified as much as possible.

According to the first aspect of the present invention, the closed portion of the first mold and the second mold can be efficiently polished. Further, according to the second invention, the polishing operation can be simplified as much as possible.

Hereinafter, embodiments for carrying out the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS. In each drawing, reference numeral F is attached to the front of each member, reference numeral B is attached to the rear of each member, reference sign UP is provided above each member, and reference sign DW is provided below each member.
In Example 1, the first mold is one mold and the second mold is the other mold. In Example 2, the second mold is one mold, and the first mold is the other mold.

<実施例1>
<Example 1>
In the present embodiment, a mold apparatus (first mold 10 and second mold 20) is manufactured by three processes described later (see FIG. 1).
In the first step (details will be described later), the first mold 10 and the second mold 20 are formed. Then, the first mold 10 and the second mold 20 are closed to form a cavity 40 between the two molds. The molded product MA is molded in the cavity 40. At this time, if the closed portions X of the first mold 10 and the second mold 20 are not uniform (there is a step or the like), the parting line (PL) Burrs are generated in the molded product MA. For this reason, the closed portion X of the first mold 10 and the second mold 20 is polished. In this type of manufacturing method, it is desirable that the portion X can be efficiently polished.
Therefore, in this embodiment, the closed portion X of the first mold 10 and the second mold 20 is efficiently polished by the process described later. Hereinafter, each manufacturing process will be described in detail.

(First step)
In the first step, the first mold 10 and the second mold 20 are formed individually. Here, the material of the first mold 10 and the second mold 20 is not particularly limited, but various steel materials (aluminum, iron, copper, brass, alloys thereof, etc.) can be exemplified.
In the present embodiment, the first space portion 11 is formed on the upper surface side of the first mold 10 (substantially rectangular) by performing predetermined processing (cutting processing, polishing processing, surface finishing processing, etc.), and the first space portion A first mold closing surface 13 is formed around 11. The 1st space part 11 of a present Example is the uneven | corrugated site | part which followed the shape of the molded product MA one side.
Similarly, by performing predetermined processing, the second space part 22 is formed on the lower surface side of the second mold 20 (substantially rectangular), and the second mold closing surface 23 is formed around the second space part 22. The 2nd space part 22 of a present Example is a recessed part which copied the shape of the molded product MA other side.
The first space portion 11 and the second space portion 22 form a cavity 40 (molding space) in a closed state. The cavity 40 (shape) has a shape that follows the outer shape of the molded product MA.
Note that at least one of the first mold 10 and the second mold 20 can be provided with a communication portion (not shown) that communicates with the cavity 40. Then, a molding material is supplied into the cavity 40 from an external raw material container (not shown) through the communicating portion.

(Second step)
In the second step, from at least one of the first mold 10 and the second mold 20, the mold closing surface (part or all) of one mold and the third mold 30 constituting a part of the space are divided.
In the present embodiment, the third mold 30 is divided from the first mold 10 (one mold). The third mold 30 is a substantially rectangular (longitudinal sectional view) member, and constitutes the first mold closing surface 13 (all) and a part of the first space part 11 (a space part part 11b). And the other part (space part other part 11a) of the 1st space part 11 except the said part remains in the 1st type | mold 10. FIG.
Next, a plurality or a single joining member JM (bar shape) is attached to the upper surface and the lower surface of the third mold 30 respectively. At this time, holes (h1, h2) into which the joining member JM can be fitted are provided on the upper surface of the third mold 30 (the surface facing the second mold 20). Further, holes (h3, h4) into which the joining member JM can be fitted are provided on the lower surface of the third mold 30 (the surface facing the first mold 10).
Then, the third die 30 and the second die 20 are joined (closed) by inserting the joining member JM into the holes (H1, H2) of the second die 20 while fitting the upper surface of the third die 30. Can be combined). Further, the third die 30 and the first die 10 are joined (closed) by inserting the joining member JM into the holes (H3, H4) of the first die 10 while fitting the lower surface of the third die 30. Can be combined).

(Third process)
In the third step, the closed portion X of both molds is co-polished from the cavity 40 side in a state where the second mold 20 (the other mold different from one) and the third mold 30 are closed.
Here, “co-polishing” is an operation of polishing and smoothing the closed portion X of both molds on the cavity 40 side in a state where the other mold and the third mold 30 are closed.
In this embodiment, the second mold 20 (the other mold) and the third mold 30 are closed, and the closed portions X of both molds are co-polished from the cavity 40 side. At this time, a gap is generated in the third mold 30 only in the other part of the first space part 11 (space part other part 11a). Therefore, the closing part X of the second mold 20 and the third mold 30 is formed through this gap. Can be co-polished from the cavity 40 side. In addition, in the state which closed the 1st type | mold 10 and the 3rd type | mold 30, the closed part (code | symbol abbreviation | omission) of both types can also be polished together from the cavity 40 side.
After the third step, the molded product MA is actually formed to check whether burrs or the like are generated. At this time, a drive member (not shown) can be provided on either the first mold 10 or the second mold 20. Then, the first mold 10 and the second mold 20 are relatively moved in the mold closing direction or the mold opening direction by the driving member.

As described above, in this embodiment, the closed portion X of the second mold 20 and the third mold 30 is co-polished from the cavity 40 side by the above-described process. Thereby, since the operator can polish the closing portion X while visually observing the closing portion X, the closing portion X can be smoothed while reducing the number of times of repeating the polishing operation and the forming operation as much as possible (becomes an efficient configuration).
Therefore, according to the present embodiment, the closed portion X of the first mold 10 and the second mold 20 can be polished efficiently.

<実施例2>
<Example 2>
Since the mold apparatus of the present embodiment has almost the same basic configuration as the mold apparatus of the first embodiment, the detailed description is omitted by attaching the corresponding reference numerals to the common structures.
A present Example demonstrates the example which shape | molds the structural member of the vehicle seat 2 (an example of a vehicle component) (refer FIGS. 2-4). The vehicle seat 2 includes a seat cushion 4, a seat back 6, and a shield member 7. The seat back 6 is connected to the seat cushion 4 via a reclining mechanism (shaft shape) (not shown) so that the seat back 6 can be tilted.

(Shield member)
The shield member 7 is a member that covers the side surface of the seat cushion 4, and includes a base portion 9, an extending portion 8, and a rib portion R (see FIGS. 2 and 3).
The extending portion 8 is a rectangular portion that follows the side surface of the seat cushion 4. And the extension part 8 has comprised the substantially horizontal U shape by the longitudinal cross sectional view, and has the 1st site | part 8a and the 2nd site | part 8b (refer the cavity shape enlarged view of FIG. 4). The first part 8 a is a part exposed to the outside in a state of being disposed on the seat cushion 4. Moreover, the 2nd site | part 8b is a site | part which becomes a concealed state in the same state, without exposing outside.
The base portion 9 is a substantially circular portion for covering the reclining mechanism, and is connected to the rear side of the extending portion 8. The rib portion R is a flat plate portion erected from the back surface of the shield member 7 and can be formed in a lattice shape.
In this embodiment, the shield member 7 (vehicle component) is formed using a mold apparatus described later.

(First step)
In the first step, the first mold 10 and the second mold 20 are individually formed (see FIG. 4).
In the present embodiment, the first space portion 11 and the first mold closing surface 13 are formed in the first mold 10 (substantially rectangular). In addition, the second space portion 22 and the second die closing surface 23 are formed in the second die 20 (substantially rectangular).
The cavity 40 is a molding space that follows the outer shape of the shield member 7. Note that the cavity 40 in FIG. 4 has a shape that follows a partial longitudinal section of the shield member 7 (a longitudinal section corresponding to the longitudinal section taken along line IV-IV in FIG. 3).

(Second step)
In the second step, the third mold 30 is divided from the second mold 20 (one mold).
The third mold 30 of the present embodiment is a substantially rectangular (longitudinal sectional view) member, and a part of the second space part 22 (space part part 22b) and a part of the second mold closing surface 23 (23b). ).
(Third process)
In the third step, the closed portions of both molds are co-polished from the cavity 40 side while the first mold 10 (the other mold) and the third mold 30 are closed.
At this time, in this embodiment, the first closing portion X1 is co-polished from the cavity 40 side without co-polishing the second closing portion X2 from the cavity 40 side.
In the present embodiment, in the third step, the closing portion corresponding to the first portion 8a (the first closing portion X1 essential for polishing) is polished. By omitting the polishing of the closing portion corresponding to the second portion 8b (the second closing portion X2 that does not require polishing), the polishing operation of the mold apparatus can be simplified as much as possible (suitable for molding vehicle components). Configuration).

The manufacturing process of the mold apparatus of the present embodiment is not limited to the above-described embodiment, and various other embodiments can be taken.
(1) In the present embodiment, a mold apparatus (a so-called split mold apparatus) having the first mold 10 and the second mold 20 is illustrated, but the configuration of the mold apparatus is not limited. For example, it is possible to use a mold apparatus (so-called 30% mold apparatus) in which one of the first mold and the second mold is composed of two molds. In the present embodiment, the configuration in which the first mold 10 and the second mold 20 are relatively moved up and down has been described. In contrast, the first mold 10 and the second mold 20 are connected via a hinge member, whereby the second mold 20 can be rotated with respect to the first mold 10.

(2) In the present embodiment, the example in which the single third mold 30 is divided from at least one of the first mold 10 and the second mold 20 has been described. The third mold can be divided into a plurality of parts from at least one of the first mold and the second mold.
In the first embodiment, the example in which the third mold 30 forms the first mold closing surface 13 (all) has been described. Unlike this, the third mold 30 of the first embodiment can constitute a part of the first mold closing surface 13. In the second embodiment, an example in which the third mold 30 configures a part (23b) of the second mold closing surface 23 has been described. In contrast, the third mold 30 of the second embodiment can constitute the entire second mold closing surface 23.
(3) Moreover, in this embodiment, although the joining member JM (bar shape) was illustrated, it is not the meaning which limits the structure of a joining member.
(4) In the present embodiment, the shield member 7 is exemplified as the vehicle component, but the type of the vehicle component is not limited.
(5) In the second embodiment, the example in which the first closing portion X1 is co-polished from the cavity 40 side without the second closing portion X2 being co-polished from the cavity 40 side has been described.
Here, “without co-polishing the second closing portion X2 from the cavity 40 side” means that it is not necessary to polish the second closing portion X2 more carefully than the first closing portion X1 (smoothing). The degree may be small). That is, the second closed portion X2 may be polished to the extent that some unevenness remains as compared with the first closed portion X1, or may not be polished.
