Description
The present invention relates to a curtain airbag device that inflates and deploys along a side surface in a vehicle compartment for the purpose of protecting an occupant during a side collision or rollover (rollover) of a vehicle.
Curtain airbags that can protect a passenger's head even when a vehicle transitions from a side collision to a rollover are mainly attached to a roof side rail or the like inside a roof head trim above the door. Usually, the curtain airbag is attached in a state of being folded into a roll or the like so as to be attached to a limited storage space.
The curtain airbag needs to be deployed along the side surface of the passenger compartment so as to cover all areas where the passenger's head and upper body may collide. Usually, a plurality of pillars serving as pillars supporting roof side rails and the like are present on the side surface of the passenger compartment. Each pillar has a passenger compartment side covered with a pillar garnish (interior material), and a gap is formed between the pillar garnish and each pillar. For this reason, when the curtain airbag attached to the roof side rail is inflated and deployed downward, the curtain airbag may be caught in the gap and the deployment may be delayed or hindered.
For example, in Patent Document 1, a main body portion disposed along a roof side rail and folded by roll folding, an airbag bag body having a turn located above the vehicle of the main body portion, and a pillar garnish disposed above the vehicle. And a head that includes a jump base that can regulate a deployment direction of the airbag bag body in a direction toward the vehicle interior side, and a rotation suppression means that suppresses the airbag bag body from rotating relative to the jump base. A protective airbag device is disclosed. In Patent Document 1, the deployment direction of the airbag bag body is regulated in the vehicle interior side direction by a jumping table, and the main body is sent out to the vehicle interior by folding back. Further, when the airbag bag body is deployed, since the rotation with respect to the jumping base is suppressed by the overhang member as the rotation suppressing means, the deployment direction (deployment behavior) of the airbag bag body can be stabilized. Has been.
However, in the head protection airbag device described in Patent Document 1, the upper edge portion of the folded portion is fixed to the overhang member, but the main body portion is not fixed to the overhang member or the jump base. In this configuration, even if a folded portion is formed on the airbag bag body and attached to the vehicle, the operator may improperly apply force to the airbag bag body or cause vibration during traveling. For this reason, the airbag bag body may be loosened and the position of the folded portion may be changed. The folded portion is assumed to be arranged at a certain position for the purpose of generating a deployment behavior that attempts to eliminate the folding during the expansion and deployment. Therefore, when the position of the folded portion changes, the deployment behavior of the entire airbag bag body also changes. Therefore, there is a possibility that the technique as in Patent Document 1 cannot stabilize the deployment behavior of the airbag bag body.
The present invention has been made in view of such problems, and an object thereof is to provide a curtain airbag device that can be inflated and deployed while stabilizing the deployment behavior and preventing interference with the pillar garnish existing below the storage position. .
In order to solve the above-mentioned problems, a typical configuration of a curtain airbag device according to the present invention is a curtain airbag device housed above a side surface of a passenger compartment, in which the airbag is wound from the lower end toward the upper end. The roll body, the roll body, the folding formed from the lower side to the upper side at the inner position of the casing relative to the roll body, and the cushion portion having a hole provided near the upper end following the folding, and the side surface of the passenger compartment It has a guide piece that projects while descending from the side to the inside of the passenger compartment, and is attached to the bracket part that interferes with the cushion part in the middle of deployment on the upper surface of the guide piece and guides the cushion part toward the inside of the passenger compartment. A posture holding portion that holds the posture of the cushion portion, and the posture holding portion surrounds the upper side of the roll body to hold the posture of the roll body and to return the core. A folding holding element that holds the folding position, an opening that is a gap inside the vehicle between the folding holding element and the bracket part, and a latching piece that projects from the outer surface of the folding holding element and latches the hole of the cushion part. It is characterized by having.
According to the said structure, since the latching piece of a attitude | position holding part latches the hole of a cushion part, the return | turnback periphery of a cushion part does not slack downward. Therefore, even if a force is applied to the cushion portion when the curtain airbag device is attached or vibration is applied during traveling, it is possible to prevent the folding from deviating from the folding holding element serving as the folding core.
In addition, according to the above configuration, since the movement of the folding position can be prevented, the deployment behavior of the cushion portion that attempts to eliminate folding when gas is supplied is stabilized, and the roll body comes into contact with the bracket portion as planned. Is possible. By the induction by the bracket portion, the unfolding behavior of the roll body is directed not to the pillar garnish side (the vehicle exterior direction) but to the roof head trim side (the vehicle interior direction). The roof head trim is pushed away by the pressure from the expanding roll body, and the cushion portion expands and expands downward. In this manner, the cushion portion can be inflated and deployed without interfering with the pillar garnish existing below the storage position and in the vehicle exterior direction.
The posture holding portion further includes a bottom element that contacts the upper surface of the guide piece and fixes the posture holding portion itself to the guide piece, and a first hinge portion that connects the opening so as to be expandable. A stopper for preventing the folding holding element from being deformed in the direction in which the opening is reduced may be provided.
According to the said structure, since an opening receives the pressure from the roll body which expand | swells, expansion | swelling expansion | deployment of the cushion part from a storage state becomes smooth. Further, since the folded holding element does not deform in the direction in which the opening is reduced (inward), even if pressure is applied to the folded holding element from the outside, the folded holding element does not deform, and the movement of the folded position can be prevented.
The posture holding unit supports the tip of the folded holding element so as to be passed to the opening, thereby preventing the folded holding element from deforming in the direction in which the opening is reduced, the supporting element, and the bottom element. And a second hinge part that can be tilted to the inside of the passenger compartment.
According to the said structure, the deformation | transformation to the direction which the opening of a folding | returning holding element shrinks can be prevented more reliably by the support element. Further, since the support element can be tilted to the inside of the passenger compartment by the second hinge portion, it is possible to prevent the support element from hindering the expansion and expansion of the roll body from the opening even if it is passed through the opening.
The folded holding element is separated into a plurality of tongue pieces by a slit cut to the vicinity of the latching piece, and the plurality of tongue pieces include long tongue pieces longer than the other tongue pieces. Is formed with a small tongue piece extending toward the inside of the posture holding portion, the long tongue piece surrounds the upper side of the cushion portion on the upper end side from the turn, and the turn around the other tongue piece is the long tongue piece And may be sandwiched between small tongue pieces.
According to the above configuration, since the tongue piece serving as the core is arranged on the valley fold side and the mountain fold side is sandwiched between the long tongue piece and the small tongue piece, the folding can be more reliably held at the position at the time of formation.
The cushion part may further include a tab protruding from the upper end of the cushion part, and the hole may be provided on the tab. The tab makes it easier to hook the hole of the cushion part to the hooking piece of the posture holding part, thereby improving workability.
The bracket part and the posture holding part may be installed on the side surface of the passenger compartment above the pillar position. If it is the structure mentioned above, it is possible to inflate and expand a cushion part, without making it interfere with the pillar garnish which exists under the storage position of a cushion part.
The distance between the roll body and the side surface of the passenger compartment may be longer than the distance between the roll body and the roof head trim provided on the top surface of the passenger compartment. The roll body in the stored state is separated from the side surface of the passenger compartment and is located near the roof head trim, so that it can be exposed from the roof head trim immediately after the start of the inflation and deployment.
According to the present invention, it is possible to provide a curtain airbag device that can be inflated and deployed without stabilizing the deployment behavior and interfering with the pillar garnish existing below the storage position.

(First embodiment)
FIG. 1 is a diagram illustrating the storage position of the curtain airbag device according to the first embodiment of the present invention. FIG. 1A illustrates the curtain airbag device according to this embodiment (hereinafter referred to as “
As shown in FIG. 1A, the
The
The
When the gas is supplied from the
FIG. 2 is a diagram illustrating the
The
The
At the upper edge of the
The
The
A fixing

As illustrated in FIG. 4, the

FIG. 5 is a diagram for explaining the formation of the
As illustrated in FIG. 5A, first, the
Next, as illustrated in FIG. 5B, the
Then, as illustrated in FIG. 5C, both the

As illustrated in FIG. 6C, the fixing
Since the fixing
As illustrated in FIG. 6A, the
The
As illustrated in FIG. 6B, the latching
As illustrated in FIG. 4, in order to attach the
3A, the posture of the
In the configuration described above, the latching
(Deployment behavior of the cushion part)
With reference to FIG. 7, the expansion | deployment expansion | deployment from the accommodation state of the
Fig.7 (a) has illustrated the
In the
The
As illustrated in FIG. 7B, when gas is supplied from the
The expansion and expansion of the
As described above, the
As illustrated in FIG. 7C, the
As illustrated in FIG. 7D, the

(Second Embodiment)
FIG. 8 is a diagram illustrating a second embodiment of the curtain airbag device according to the present invention. The curtain airbag device according to the present embodiment (hereinafter referred to as “
As illustrated in FIG. 8A, the
As illustrated in FIG. 8B, the

As illustrated in FIG. 9A, in the present embodiment, the

As illustrated in FIG. 9C, the

(Third embodiment)
FIG. 10 is a view illustrating a curtain airbag device according to a third embodiment of the invention. The curtain airbag device according to the present embodiment (hereinafter referred to as “
As illustrated in FIG. 10A, the
As illustrated in FIG. 10B, the
As illustrated in FIG. 10A, the central tongue piece among the three tongue pieces has a longer configuration (long tongue piece 376) than the
A
In the above configuration, the tongue piece is separated into three pieces, and the central tongue piece is the
FIG. 11 is a view for explaining attachment of the
As illustrated in FIG. 11A, in order to attach the
Next, as illustrated in FIG. 11B, the

(Deployment behavior of the cushion part)
FIG. 12 is a view for explaining the inflating and deploying of the curtain airbag device including the
As illustrated in FIG. 12A, the
As illustrated in FIG. 12B, when gas is supplied from the
As illustrated in FIG. 12C, the
With the above configuration, the
(Other forms)
FIG. 13 is a diagram illustrating another form of the posture holding unit according to the present invention. In the posture holding part of the first to third embodiments, the fixing
FIG. 14 is a diagram illustrating the posture of another form of the cushion portion according to the present invention. In the posture holding part of the first to third embodiments, the
In each of the above embodiments, the posture holding unit is described as being fixed on the bracket unit. However, if there is no possibility of interfering with the pillar garnish at a place where the bracket portion is not necessary, for example, other than the pillar position or at the pillar position, the posture holding portion can be directly fixed to the side surface of the vehicle. Also with this configuration, it is possible to maintain the posture when the cushion portion is stored.
