Description
The present invention relates to an electrode manufacturing system for manufacturing an electrode.
An electrode used for a battery such as a lithium ion secondary battery is manufactured by applying an active material mixture to a metal foil such as aluminum in a predetermined coating amount. The unevenness of the film thickness of the active material mixture applied to the metal foil greatly affects the capacity of the lithium ion secondary battery.
Then, the technique which measures the film thickness of an active material mixture and controls the said coating amount is proposed (refer patent document 1). In the technique described in Patent Document 1, an active material mixture is applied to a metal foil, and after drying in a drying furnace, the film thickness of the active material mixture is measured, and according to information on the measured film thickness Thus, the film thickness is controlled to be a predetermined film thickness by changing the predetermined coating amount. Further, by performing marking when there is a deviation from a predetermined film thickness, the defective portion can be easily removed.
However, in the technique described in Patent Document 1, the applied active material mixture is dried and then its thickness is measured. Therefore, after the organic solvent contained in the active material mixture is removed by drying, the thickness decreases, so that high accuracy is required to measure the unevenness error.
In addition, in the technique described in Patent Document 1, a wide area of several m 2 must be excluded as a defect even if the size of the marked defect portion is several cm 2. Is bad.
An object of this invention is to provide the electrode manufacturing system which can solve the said subject.
In order to solve the above problems , according to the first embodiment of the present invention , in the electrode manufacturing system , an application unit that applies an active material mixture to form a coating region and a non-coating region on a metal foil; comprising a drying section for drying the coated metal foil by a coating unit, and a punch section for punching a plurality of electrodes from drying metal foil in the drying unit, coating unit, a coating unit for coating, film coating region a film thickness measuring means for measuring the thickness, the metal foil location of the end of the coating area where the film thickness measured is outside the predetermined range with subjecting the starting point mark on the metal foil of the position of the start point of the application region made of a predetermined range Marking means for attaching an end point mark, and the punching unit is a mark detection means for detecting the start point mark and the end point mark, respectively, and at least a plurality of electrodes by punching a metal foil other than between the start point mark and the end point mark Electrode punching to form And the step, to organic and discarding means for discarding the metal foil between at least a start point mark to the end point mark.
According to the present invention, by measuring the film thickness before drying the active material mixture, even if it is a comparatively inexpensive and not very high accuracy measuring device, the unevenness can be easily measured. In addition, according to the present invention, a defective region having an uneven thickness of the active material mixture can be automatically and accurately discarded using the start point mark and the end point mark, so that the electrode production efficiency is prevented from being lowered. be able to.
Hereinafter, the present invention will be described through embodiments of the invention, but the following embodiments do not limit the invention according to the claims.
FIG. 1 is a diagram illustrating an example of a manufacturing unit of an electrode manufacturing system 100 according to the present embodiment.
In the following description, an outline of the electrode manufacturing system 100 will be described with reference to FIG.
The electrode manufacturing system 100 is a system for manufacturing an electrode used for a lithium ion secondary battery. In the present embodiment, the above-described lithium ion secondary battery will be described as the battery, but the present invention is not particularly limited thereto. For example, the present invention can be applied to various batteries such as a primary battery and a secondary battery other than a lithium ion secondary battery. The electrode manufacturing system 100 is configured by sequentially arranging a
The
An active material mixture is a mixture containing the active material used for a positive electrode or a negative electrode. For example, the positive electrode active material mixture is made by mixing a positive electrode active material, lithium cobaltate (LiCoO 2 ), a carbon material conductive agent such as acetylene black or graphite, and a binder dissolved in a solvent into a paste. Can be considered.
In the
And in the
Hereinafter, the configuration of the
図2、図3に示すとおり、塗布装置110は、2つのブレード111a、111b(以下、ブレード111と総称する。)
As shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, the
First, in the
Then, the active material mixture is injected between the blade 111 and the
As shown in the figure, the application region 210 is a band-like region extending in the longitudinal direction of the
Subsequently, in the
The
Subsequently, in the
First, the
When the
When the
Here, the predetermined time is a time taken from the start point 212 of the coating unevenness 211 to the position directly below the
The
The coating unevenness 211 often spreads so as to extend in the longitudinal direction of the
Therefore, if even one of the plurality of spots on the
Here, when marking the
Note that the
The start point mark 222 and the end point mark 223 may have different mark shapes, such as a round shape on one side and a star shape on the other side, so that the
The
As described above, in the electrode manufacturing system 100, the
And after the process by the
Then, the divided active material mixture of each
After each of the divided metal foils 200 is dried by the

Therefore, even if marking is performed on the coating unevenness 211, if the marking is only one point, the coating unevenness 211 is discarded in the
However, even when the

マークセンサ161、プレス機162、及び2つの電極積層機構165a、165b(以下、電極積層機構165と総称する。)
Hereinafter, the configuration of the
As shown in FIG. 5, the

The
In the following description, an example of processing the
First, in the
The
Subsequently, in the
The electrode 230 shown in FIG. 5 includes a
Subsequently, in the
After the inspection, in the
When the
This operation will be described in detail below.

The timing at which the
When the
Here, if the coating unevenness 211 is included in a part of the electrode 230 punched out by the
Specifically, since the
On the other hand, when the electrode 230 including the coating unevenness 211 is disposed at the predetermined position and the electrode 230 without the coating unevenness 211 is disposed at the predetermined position by the next intermittent operation, the coating 230 When the electrode 230 having no unevenness 211 is disposed at the predetermined position, the
Even when the
Also in this case, as in the case of uneven coating, the speed or timing of the intermittent operation and the two end faces in the width direction of the electrode 230 arranged at the predetermined position (the electrode width is designed to a predetermined value in advance). The
On the other hand, when the defective electrode is arranged at the predetermined position and the electrode without defect is arranged at the predetermined position by the next intermittent operation, the electrode without defect is arranged at the predetermined position. At that time, the
In the present embodiment, the
In the present embodiment, the application area 210 between the start point mark 222 and the end point mark 223 marked by the
In this case, the pressed electrode does not exist between the start point mark 222 and the end point mark 223 in the
In this embodiment, a laser displacement meter is adopted as the film thickness measuring means, but the film thickness measuring means may be any measuring instrument that can measure the film thickness of the active material mixture in a non-contact manner. A measuring instrument other than the
In this embodiment, the
As mentioned above, although this invention was demonstrated using embodiment, the technical scope of this invention is not limited to the range as described in the said embodiment. It will be apparent to those skilled in the art that various modifications or improvements can be added to the above-described embodiment.
