Description
Claims (14)
- エレクトロウェッティング素子と、電圧を前記素子に印加するドライバ段と、前記エレクトロウェッティング素子を前記ドライバ段の出力に接続するスイッチとを備え、
前記エレクトロウェッティング素子が第1の流体および不混和性の第2の流体を含み、
前記流体の瞬時位置が前記素子に印加された前記電圧に依存し、
前記電圧がスイッチが閉じているときに決定され、
前記スイッチが開くと、前記エレクトロウェッティング素子上の前記電圧が、70msより長い保持状態の間、実質的に維持される大きさを有する容量を前記エレクトロウェッティング素子が有する、エレクトロウェッティングシステム。 - 前記保持状態が250msより長い、請求項1に記載のエレクトロウェッティングシステム。
- 前記ドライバ段が直流電圧を前記素子に印加するため配置されている、請求項1または2に記載のエレクトロウェッティングシステム。
- 前記流体の前記位置が前記保持状態の間維持される、請求項1または2に記載のエレクトロウェッティングシステム。
- 前記素子に接続されたキャパシタを備える、請求項1または2に記載のエレクトロウェッティングシステム。
- 前記ドライバ段および前記スイッチが単一の素子中に一体化されている、請求項1または2に記載のエレクトロウェッティングシステム。
- 表示コントローラと、複数個のドライバ段と、複数個のエレクトロウェッティング素子と、前記各エレクトロウェッティング素子を前記ドライバ段の出力に接続する複数個のスイッチとを備え、
前記表示コントローラが表示データを受信する入力と前記ドライバ段を制御する出力とを有し、
前記素子が請求項1または2に記載されるように印加された電圧に応答し、
前記各素子が前記表示データに応答して表示状態を示し、
複数個の前記表示状態が表示を形成する、
ディスプレイ装置。 - 前記各素子に接続されたキャパシタを備える、請求項7に記載のディスプレイ装置。
- 前記表示状態が階調を含む、請求項7に記載のディスプレイ装置。
- エレクトロウェッティング素子と、電圧を前記素子に印加するドライバ段と、前記エレクトロウェッティング素子を前記ドライバ段の出力に接続するスイッチとを備え、前記エレクトロウェッティング素子が第1の流体および第2の不混和性流体を含み、前記流体の瞬時位置が前記素子に印加された前記電圧に依存し、前記スイッチが開くと前記素子上の前記電圧が70msより長い保持状態の間実質的に維持される大きさを有する容量を前記エレクトロウェッティング素子が有する、エレクトロウェッティングシステムを作動させる方法であって、
前記スイッチを閉じ、それによって、前記電圧を設定するステップと、
前記素子上の前記電圧が実質的に維持される70msより長い保持状態の間に前記スイッチを開くステップと、
を含む方法。 - 前記保持状態が250msより長い、請求項10に記載の方法。
- 前記スイッチを閉じるステップと、前記スイッチを開くステップとが繰り返される、請求項10または11に記載の方法。
