Description
粒度分布(D10、D50及びD90値)を、MALVERN社製のMasterSizer Sμを使用してレーザ回折を用いて測定し(ASTM B822)、かつ比表面積を、ASTM D3663によってN2−3点法を用いて、ブルナウアー、エメット、テラーの公知の方法(BET法)に従って測定した。%の表示は、特に定めがない限り、質量%である。
大きい比表面積を有するNb2O5
ニオブ(V)エトキシド200mlに、脱イオン水80mlを撹拌しつつ添加した。こうして得られた水酸化ニオブ(V)(ニオブ酸)を、ヌッチェを用いて濾別し、そして脱イオン水で洗浄した。次いで、この水酸化ニオブ(V)を17時間にわたって100℃で乾燥させ、次いで4時間にわたって500℃で空気中でか焼した。80m2/gの比表面積を有するNb2O5が280g得られた。

脱イオン水200lを装入した状態で、H2NbF7水溶液(Nb濃度:80g/l)7490lを、NH3の9%水溶液7500lを用いて連続的に沈殿させた。この溶液の温度は、約32℃であり、その際、pH値を7.6±0.4に調節した。こうして得られた懸濁液を、圧力濾過用ヌッチェを用いて加圧分離し、次いでNH3の3%水溶液で洗浄し、次いで脱イオン水で洗浄した。得られた湿潤な水酸化ニオブ(V)を、24時間にわたって100℃で乾燥戸棚中で乾燥させた。乾燥した水酸化ニオブ(V)を空気中で400℃の温度で2時間にわたってか焼することによって、1.6m2/gの比表面積を有するNb2O5粉末が得られた。

タンタル(V)エトキシド1000mlに、過剰の脱イオン水を撹拌しつつ添加した。こうして得られた水酸化タンタル(V)を、ヌッチェを用いて濾別し、そして脱イオン水で洗浄した。次いで、この水酸化タンタル(V)を17時間にわたって75℃で乾燥させた。9.78%の残留水の含水率を有する水酸化タンタル(V)872.1gが得られた。この物質の55gを、2時間にわたって500℃で空気中でか焼した。こうして得られたTa2O5は、76m2/gの比表面積を有していた。
小さい比表面積の球状のTa2O5
脱イオン水300lを装入した状態で、約82g/lのTa濃度を有するH2TaF7水溶液6360lを、NH3の6%水溶液5655lを用いて、pH値が7.6±0.4になるように連続的に沈殿させた。この溶液の温度は約35℃であった。こうして得られた懸濁液を、圧力濾過用ヌッチェを用いて加圧分離し、最初にNH3の3%水溶液で洗浄し、次いで脱イオン水で洗浄した。得られた湿潤な水酸化タンタル(V)を、24時間にわたって100℃で乾燥戸棚内で乾燥させ、次いで2時間にわたって400℃で空気中でか焼した。このように製造されたTa2O5は、1m2/gの比表面積を有していた。
撹拌反応器内において、脱イオン水300lを装入した状態で、84g/lのNb濃度を有するH2NbF7水溶液3700lを、NH3の6%水溶液5500lを用いて、連続的に沈殿させた。H2NbF7水溶液は300l/hの流量で添加し、かつNH3の6%水溶液は450l/hの流量で添加した。このpH値を、7.6±0.4に調節した。この溶液の温度は、56℃であった。こうして得られた懸濁液を、圧力濾過用ヌッチェを用いて濾別して、NH3の3%水溶液で洗浄し、次いで脱イオン水で洗浄した。この湿潤な水酸化ニオブ(V)を、24時間にわたって100℃で乾燥戸棚内で乾燥させた。乾燥した水酸化ニオブ(V)を500℃の温度で2時間にわたってか焼することによって、94m2/gの比表面積並びに球状の形態を有するNb2O5粉末が得られた。

脱イオン水400lを装入した状態で、81g/lのNb濃度を有するH2NbF7水溶液4662lを、NH3の9%水溶液4600lを用いて、連続的に沈殿させた。このH2NbF7水溶液は300l/hの流量で添加し、かつNH3の9%水溶液も300l/hの流量で添加した。このpH値を、7.6±0.に調節した。この溶液の温度は63℃であった。こうして得られた懸濁液を、圧力濾過用ヌッチェを用いて濾別して、NH3の3%水溶液で洗浄し、次いで脱イオン水で洗浄した。得られた湿潤な水酸化ニオブ(V)を24時間にわたって100℃で乾燥戸棚内で乾燥させた。この水酸化ニオブ(V)は、201m2/gの比表面積を有しており、かつその大部分が球状の形態を示していた。それを2時間にわたって500℃の温度でか焼すると、116m2/gの比表面積及び球状の形態を有するNb2O5粉末が得られた。

脱イオン水400lを装入した状態で、80g/lのNb濃度を有するH2NbF7水溶液9020lを、NH3の9%水溶液10000lを用いて、連続的に沈殿させた。このH2NbF7水溶液は300l/hの流量で添加し、かつNH3の9%水溶液も300l/hの流量で添加した。このpH値を、7.6±0.4に調節した。この溶液の温度は69℃であった。こうして得られた懸濁液を、圧力濾過用ヌッチェを用いて濾別して、NH3の3%水溶液で洗浄し、次いで脱イオン水で洗浄した。得られた湿潤な水酸化ニオブ(V)を、24時間にわたって100℃で乾燥戸棚内で乾燥させた。それを2時間にわたって400℃の温度でか焼すると、140m2/gの比表面積及び球状の形態を有するNb2O5粉末が得られた。

Claims (5)
- フッ化物を含有するバルブ金属化合物と塩基とを、少なくとも45℃の温度で水の存在下で連続的に反応させ、そしてそれにより生じた生成物をか焼することによって、球状のバルブ金属酸化物粉末を製造する方法において、前記バルブ金属化合物を、バルブ金属に対して0.3モル/l〜1.2モル/lの濃度の水溶液の形で使用し、使用された塩基が、3〜15質量%のアンモニア濃度を有するアンモニア水溶液であり、その際、反応を連続的に実施し、前記バルブ金属化合物の水溶液の流量と、塩基の水溶液の流量との比が1:0.9〜1:2であり、バルブ金属として計算した場合の前記バルブ金属化合物と塩基とのモル濃度比は1:5.6〜1:8.5の値である、前記球状のバルブ金属酸化物粉末を製造する方法。
- バルブ金属酸化物粉末が、ASTM B822によってMasterSizerを用いて測定された10〜80μmの平均粒子径D50を有する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 反応容器内での滞留時間が、30分〜3時間であることを特徴とする、請求項1または2に記載の方法。
- 前記バルブ金属化合物が、H2NbF7又はH2TaF7であることを特徴とする、請求項1から3までの何れか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記バルブ金属化合物と塩基との反応を、反応温度で測定された7〜14のpH値で実施することを特徴とする、請求項1から4までの何れか1項に記載の方法。
