Note that the roles of the transmission side and the reception side and the relative level of the security level do not always have a fixed correspondence. When the security on the receiving side needs to be strengthened from the sending side, the security on both the sending side and the receiving side needs to be strengthened, and the case where neither the sending side nor the receiving side needs to do so is considered. Depending on each case, a relatively high or low security level can be set for a role having an asymmetric relationship.

In the third operation example described above, it is possible to enhance the effect of preventing erroneous operation by requiring two-step confirmation of connection and authentication. In the first to third operation examples, the operation procedure for permitting connection without displaying a confirmation screen in response to a connection request when a relatively low security level is set has been described. The present invention is not limited to this. For example, the procedure for displaying the connection confirmation screen and the procedure for displaying the authentication confirmation screen may correspond to the setting of the low security level and the high security level, respectively. Alternatively, one of these procedures and the procedure for displaying both the connection and authentication confirmation screens may correspond to the setting of the low security level and the high security level, respectively.
