Description
・上気道、腸、またはSTD感染症と関連した複合感染症についての血液、唾液あるいは尿サンプルのスクリーニング
・感染症が抗生物質に対して耐性であるか判定
・感染症がウイルス性かあるいは細菌性かの判定
・個人の薬物有害反応に対する感受性を特定
・癌の種類の診断(例:乳癌、前立腺癌、卵巣癌、膵臓癌)
・個人のアルツハイマー病の素因を特定
このように、本発明は反応チャンバー、および特にPCR反応を実施するために用いられる反応チャンバーの温度を調節するための重要な装置および方法を提供することがわかるであろう。本明細書に記載の装置および方法によって提供される利点の例は以下のものを含むが、これに限定されない:
・嚢は、カートリッジ内の効率的で再現可能な熱循環を目的とした、簡便な液体を用いたディスポーザブルカートリッジへの熱移動を可能とする。
・嚢が収縮するため、反応チャンバーを収容するディスポーザブルカートリッジを容易に挿入することができる。
・嚢を使用することにより、ディスポーザブルカートリッジと循環液が相互連結することを回避できる。
Claims (15)
- ポリメラーゼ連鎖反応(PCR)を実施するための装置であって、
温度制御物質を第1の温度に加熱するための第1のヒーター;
温度制御物質を第2の温度に加熱するための第2のヒーター;
該第1のヒーター及び該第2のヒーターの間に位置し、それらと順に連結するポンプ;及び
一対の嚢を有する嚢ユニット、を含み、
各嚢は嚢支持体に連結され、異なる出入口を経由して該第1のヒーター及び該第2のヒーターと連結しており、
該一対の嚢の温度を制御する温度制御物質で該一対の嚢を拡張することができ、該一対の嚢はその間の空間を挟んでほぼ対面に配置されて、両方の嚢が拡張した際に上記空間に置かれた反応チャンバーと接触することが出来、該ポンプによって該一対の嚢に、該PCR反応を可能とする一定の間隔で、該第1の温度及び該第2の温度の該温度制御物質が交互に導入される、前記装置。 - 前記温度制御物質が液体である、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記液体が水である、請求項2に記載の装置。
- 一対の嚢が、シリコン、ラテックス、ポリエチレンテレフタレート、ポリウレタン、ポリプロピレン、およびポリエチレンから成る群から選択される材料で構成される、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 第1のヒーターが第1の枝管の連結を通って該一対の嚢と流路が通じている、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 第2のヒーターが第2の枝管の連結を通って該一対の嚢と流路が通じている、請求項5に記載の装置。
- ポリメラーゼ連鎖反応(PCR)を実施するための加熱装置であって、
第1の嚢;第1の嚢のほぼ対面に配置される第2の嚢;各嚢の第1の出入口を介して第1の嚢及び第2の嚢に連結される第1のヒーター;各嚢の第2の出入口を介して第1の嚢及び第2の嚢に連結される第2のヒーター;該第1のヒーター及び該第2のヒーターの間に位置し、それらと順に連結する熱交換機;及び、該第1のヒーター及び該第2のヒーターの間に位置し、それらと順に連結するポンプ、を含み、該第1及び第2の嚢はそれら嚢の温度を制御する温度制御物質で拡張することできる、前記加熱装置。 - 前記温度制御物質が液体である、請求項7に記載の装置。
- 前記液体が水である、請求項8に記載の装置。
- 第1及び第2の嚢が、シリコン、ラテックス、ポリエチレンテレフタレート、ポリウレタン、ポリプロピレン、およびポリエチレンから成る群から選択される材料で構成される、請求項7に記載の装置。
- ポンプが温度制御物質を第1のヒーター及び該第2のヒーターの間で可逆的に循環させることが出来る、請求項7に記載の装置。
- PCRを実施するための方法であって、
請求項1記載の装置の反応チャンバー内にPCR反応物の反応混合物を導入し、及び、
該反応混合物を一定の間隔で交互に第1の温度及び第2の温度に維持する、ことを含む前記方法。 - 更に、反応混合物を第3の温度に維持することを含む、請求項12記載の方法。
- PCRを実施するための方法であって、
請求項7記載の装置の第1の嚢及び第2の嚢の間の空間に配置された反応チャンバー内にPCR反応物の反応混合物を導入し、及び、
該反応混合物を一定の間隔で交互に第1の温度及び第2の温度に維持する、ことを含む前記方法。 - 更に、反応混合物を第3の温度に維持することを含む、請求項14記載の方法。
