Description
Alcogum,ポリ電解質、ポリ多糖類、リン脂質及びポリカルボン酸塩を含む。本発明に適当な無機増粘剤は金属酸化物、沈殿シリカ、ヒュ−ムドシリカ、酸化アルミニウム、カ−ボンブラック、タルク、黒鉛及び繊維のような無機固体を含む。
本発明の適当な増粘剤は、Rheox社から商品名Baragel、Bentone,Nykon及びNalzinで入手できる;Union Carbide社から商品名UCAR Polyphobeで入手できる;及びRohm及びHaas社から商品名Acrysolで入手できる。
本発明に有用な磁気応答粒子は、磁気レオロジ−活性を示すことが知られている固体である。本発明に有用な典型的な粒子は、例えば、常磁性、超常磁性又は強磁性化合物から成る。使用される磁気応答粒子の特定例は、鉄、鉄合金、鉄酸化物、鉄窒化物、鉄炭化物、カルボニル鉄、二酸化クロム、低炭素鋼、ケイ素鋼、ニッケル、コバルト、及びそれらの混合物のような材料から成る粒子を含む。酸化鉄は、Fe2O3及びFe3O4のような全て既知の純酸化鉄、並びにマンガン、亜鉛又はバリウムのような他の元素の少量を含有するものを含む。酸化鉄の特定例はフェライト及びまマグネタイトを含む。さらに、磁気応答粒子成分はアルミニウム、シリコン、コバルト、ニッケル、バナジウム、モリブデン、クロム、タングステン、マンガン及び/又は銅を含有するもののような既知鉄合金から成る。
磁気レオロジ−・グリ−ス組成物は、16gのISPカルボニル鉄(R2430)を4gのCastolSyntecグリ−ス、NLGIコンシステンシ−数が2の鉱物油を基剤としたリチウム錯体グリ−スと混合することによって調製した。得られた組成物はNLGIコンシステンシ−数が2で、自身の重量で流動せず、かつ剪断が少ない。組成物は均質でなめらかである。このグリ−ス組成物は3.5年後でも分離の徴候は示さない。
磁気レオロジ−・グリ−ス組成物は、16gのISPカルボニル鉄(R2430)、2gのCastol Syntecグリ−ス及び2gのCastol Syntecグリ−ス(10W−30)を混合することによって調製した。得られた組成物はNLGIコンシステンシ−数が1で、均質でなめらかであった。数か月後、この組成物は瓶内で多少のレベルの表面に流れた。
磁気レオロジ−・グリ−ス組成物は、16gのISPカルボニル鉄(R2430)、3gのCastol Syntecグリ−ス及び1gのCastol Syntecグリ−ス(10W−30)を混合することによって調製した。得られた組成物はNLGIコンシステンシ−数が2で、均質でなめらかであった。
Claims (23)
- 鉄、鉄合金、酸化鉄、窒化鉄,炭化鉄、カルボニル鉄、二酸化クロム、低炭素鋼、ケイ素鋼、ニッケル、コバルト、及びそれらの混合物からなる群から選択される磁気応答粒子;鉱物油、パラフィン油、シクロパラフィン油、合成炭化水素油又はそれらの混合体から成る群から選択されるキャリヤー流体;;及び
金属セッケン、金属セッケン錯体、有機金属塩、有機粘土、高分子電解質、多糖、リン脂質、ポリカルボン酸塩、金属酸化物、沈殿シリカ、ヒュームドシリカ、酸化アルミニウム、カーボンブラック、タルク、繊維及びその混合物から成る群から選択され、全量が磁気レオロジー・グリース組成物の全体積の30〜90体積%である増粘剤を含む磁気レオロジー・グリース組成物。
- 前記増粘剤は、有機粘土、金属セッケン、金属セッケン錯体又はそれらの混合物からなることを特徴とする請求項1記載の磁気レオロジー・グリース組成物。
- 前記増粘剤は、ステアリン酸ナトリウム、ステアリン酸カルシウム、ステアリン酸リチウム、ステアリン酸カリウム、ステアリン酸亜鉛、ステアリン酸ストロンチウム、ステアリン酸アルミニウム、ステアリン酸バリウム、ステアリン酸マグネシウム、及びそれらの混合物から成る群から選択するカルボン酸セッケンであることを特徴とする請求項1記載の磁気レオロジー・グリース組成物。
- 前記増粘剤は、沈殿シリカ又はヒュームドシリカであることを特徴とする請求項1記載の磁気レオロジー・グリース組成物。
- 前記磁気応答粒子は、0.1〜50ミクロンの範囲内の数平均粒子直径分布を有することを特徴とする請求項1記載の磁気レオロジー・グリース組成物。
- 前記キャリヤー流体は、ポリオレフィンから誘導された合成炭化水素油から成ることを特徴とする請求項1記載の磁気レオロジー・グリース組成物。
- さらに、酸化防止剤、潤滑油、粘度調整剤、又はそれらの混合物を含む請求項1記載の磁気レオロジー・グリース組成物。
- 全磁気レオロジー・グリース組成物の5〜50体積%の磁気応答粒子;全磁気レオロジー・グリース組成物の5〜65体積%のキャリヤー流体;及び全磁気レオロジー・グリース組成物の30〜90体積%の少なくとも1つの増粘剤から成ることを特徴とする請求項1記載の磁気レオロジー・グリース組成物。
- 前記キャリヤー流体が、鉱物油、パラフィン油、シクロパラフィン、又は合成炭化水素であり;前記増粘剤が沈殿シリカ、ヒュームドシリカ、有機粘土、金属セッケン又は金属セッケン錯体であることを特徴とする請求項8記載の磁気レオロジー・グリース組成物。
- 磁気応答粒子;キャリヤー流体;及び少なくとも1つの増粘剤から成る磁気レオロジー・グリース組成物であって、該グリース組成物が00〜4のNLGIコンシステンシー数を有することを特徴とする請求項1記載の磁気レオロジー・グリース組成物。
- 前記増粘剤は、金属セッケン、金属セッケン錯体、有機金属塩、有機粘土、高分子電解質、多糖、リン脂質、ポリカルボン酸塩、金属酸化物、沈殿シリカ、ヒュームドシリカ、酸化アルミニウム、カーボンブラック、タルク、繊維及びその混合物から成る群から選択することを特徴とする請求項10記載の磁気レオロジー・グリース組成物。
- 前記磁気応答粒子は水噴霧化によって得られることを特徴とする請求項10記載の磁気レオロジー・グリース組成物。
- 前記磁気応答粒子がカルボニル鉄であることを特徴とする請求項10記載の磁気レオロジー・グリース組成物。
- 前記キャリヤー流体が合成炭化水素油であることを特徴とする請求項10記載の磁気レオロジー・グリース組成物。
- さらに、酸化防止剤、潤滑油、粘度調整剤、又はそれらの混合物を含む請求項10記載の磁気レオロジー・グリース組成物。
- 前記増粘剤は、沈殿シリカ、ヒュームドシリカ、有機粘土、金属セッケン又は金属セッケン錯体から成ることを特徴とする請求項11記載の磁気レオロジー・グリース組成物。
- 磁気応答粒子;キャリヤー流体;及び少なくとも1つの増粘剤から成る磁気レオロジー・グリース組成物であって、該組成物が組成物を磁気レオロジー装置内の位置に維持するのに有効なコンシステンシーをもった組成物を提供することを特徴とする請求項1記載の磁気レオロジー・グリース組成物。
- 磁気レオロジー・グリース組成物のNLGIコンシステンシー数が、00〜4の範囲内にあることを特徴とする請求項17記載の磁気レオロジー・グリース組成物
- 前記増粘剤は、金属セッケン、金属セッケン錯体、有機金属塩、有機粘土、高分子電解質、多糖、リン脂質、ポリカルボン酸塩、金属酸化物、沈殿シリカ、ヒュームドシリカ、酸化アルミニウム、カーボンブラック、タルク、繊維及びその混合物から成る群から選択することを特徴とする請求項17記載の磁気レオロジー・グリース組成物
- 前記増粘剤は、沈殿シリカ、ヒュームドシリカ、有機粘土、金属セッケン又は金属セッケン錯体から成ることを特徴とする請求項19記載の磁気レオロジー・グリース組成物。
- 前記キャリヤー流体が、鉱物油、パラフィン油、シクロパラフィン、又は合成炭化水素油であり;前記増粘剤が沈殿シリカ、ヒュームドシリカ、有機粘土、金属セッケン又は金属セッケン錯体であることを特徴とする請求項17記載の磁気レオロジー・グリース組成物。
- 前記磁気応答粒子は、1〜100ミクロンの範囲内の数平均粒子直径分布を有し、水噴霧化によって得られることを特徴とする請求項21記載の磁気レオロジー・グリース組成物。
- 前記NLGIコンシステンシー数が、0〜2の範囲内にあることを特徴とする請求項17記載の磁気レオロジー・グリース組成物。
