Claims (3)
- 内燃機関から排出された燃焼排気ガスを浄化する排気ガス浄化装置であって、
前記内燃機関の排気流路の内部に配設された三元触媒と、前記排気流路の前記三元触媒より上流側と下流側とにそれぞれ配設された、前記燃焼排気ガスに含まれる窒素酸化物の濃度及び前記燃焼排気ガスの空燃比を連続的に測定可能な検出器と、を備えた排気ガス浄化装置(ただし、NOx吸蔵還元型触媒と三元触媒が連続して配設された構成を除く)。 - 前記検出器が、ジルコニア固体電解質方式の検出器である請求項1に記載の排気ガス浄化装置。
- 前記三元触媒の上流側に設けた前記検出器の空燃比検出機能を用いて、空燃比フィードバック制御時のリーン域変動時又は減速時の燃料カット時の前記内燃機関が希薄燃焼状態であることを検出して、前記排気流路の前記三元触媒より上流側と下流側とにおける前記燃焼排気ガスに含まれる前記窒素酸化物の濃度を測定し、得られた前記三元触媒より上流側と下流側の窒素酸化物の濃度の変動により前記三元触媒の劣化の程度を診断するものである請求項1又は2に記載の排気ガス浄化装置。
