Description
Claims (16)
- 半導体光源手段と、
第1端部、第2端部、前記第1端部及び第2端部間に延在する光学軸、並びに光を出力結合するための前記第1及び第2端部間に位置される出力結合構造、を含む光ガイドを含む一次光学システムと、
二次光学システムと、
を有し、
前記光源手段が、前記第1端部へ光を結合させるように構成され、
前記光ガイドが、所望な光放射パターンを得るために、前記光ガイドから外へ結合される光を前記二次光学システムへ方向付けるように構成される、
照明装置において、
前記光ガイドの前記第2端部が、鏡面状端部面を有し、
前記光ガイドの前記第1及び第2端部が、異なる横断多角形断面領域を有する、
ことを特徴する、照明装置。 - 請求項1に記載の照明装置であって、前記光ガイドの前記第1及び第2端部が前記光軸に平行な外側表面を有する、照明装置。
- 請求項1又は2に記載の照明装置であって、前記第2端部の前記断面領域が、前記第1断面の断面領域より大きいことを特徴とする、照明装置。
- 請求項3に記載の照明装置であって、前記第2及び第1端部の前記横断多角形の断面領域の比率が、2より大きい、照明装置。
- 請求項4に記載の照明装置であって、前記第2及び第1端部の前記横断多角形断の面領域の比率が、9より大きい、照明装置。
- 請求項3に記載の照明装置であって、
前記光ガイドは、前記第1及び第2端部の間において、前記第1端部の横断多角形断面領域から前記第2端部の横断多角形断面領域への移行部分を囲み、
前記移行部分が、外側表面を有する、
照明装置。 - 請求項6に記載の照明装置であって、前記移行部分の前記外側表面及び前記光学軸が、90°より小さい角度を形成する、照明装置。
- 請求項3に記載の照明装置であって、前記移行部分の前記外側表面が、円錐表面又はある数の多角形表面からなる群から選択される、照明装置。
- 請求項3に記載の照明装置であって、前記出力結合構造が、前記移行部分に位置され、且つ前記光ガイドの周囲の少なくとも一部において延在する、照明装置。
- 請求項9に記載の照明装置であって、前記出力結合構造が、前記光学軸に実質的に直交して前記光を前記光ガイドから外へ結合するように構成される、照明装置。
- 請求項9に記載の照明装置であって、前記出力結合構造が、反射層で被膜された表面を有する、照明装置。
- 請求項9に記載の照明装置であって、前記出力結合構造が、拡散光を放射するテクスチャを有する表面を有する、照明装置。
- 請求項9に記載の照明装置であって、前記出力結合構造が、前記移行部分において容積を有するように延在し、前記出力結合構造が、拡散的な散乱材料を含む、照明装置。
- 請求項9に記載の照明装置であって、前記出力結合構造が、前記移行部分において容積を有するように延在し、前記容積が、ホログラフィック回折格子を含む、照明装置。
- 請求項1に記載の照明装置であって、前記光ガイドが、ガラス及びプラスチックからなる群から選択された材料から作製される、照明装置。
- 請求項15に記載の照明装置であって、前記プラスチックが、ポリメチルメタクリルレート(PMMA)又はポリカーボネート(PC)である、照明装置。
