Description
The present invention relates to a built-in strobe camera incorporating a pop-up strobe and a camera external unit that can be attached to the built-in strobe camera.
Further, in a digital camera, for example, an LCD panel (liquid crystal panel) is provided as display means for reproducing and displaying a recorded image after shooting. This playback LCD panel is used as a finder by displaying a subject image based on a photoelectric signal from a CCD image sensor. With such a finder, keep an eye on the finder when observing the subject image. In order to observe a delicate subject image, it has been difficult to perform sufficient observation. For this reason, an electronic viewfinder (hereinafter referred to as an EVF device) comprising a small LCD for displaying an image based on a photoelectric signal from a CCD image sensor and an eyepiece for enlarging the image displayed on the small LCD is provided in the camera body. A device that is built-in and observes a subject image by placing an eye on the eyepiece of the EVF device is known (see, for example, Patent Document 1).
In the device described in Patent Document 1, since both the strobe device having the pop-up function of the strobe light emitting unit and the EVF device are built in the camera body, both of the above-described functions can be appropriately exhibited. However, since both the strobe device having the pop-up function of the strobe light emitting unit and the EVF device are built in the camera body, the camera is not only enlarged, but the EVF device observes the subject image only from the back of the camera body. Therefore, when the subject is close to the ground, there is a problem that the photographer must lie on the ground and observe it.
The present invention has been made in view of the above circumstances, such as an external EVF device capable of appropriately changing the observation angle in a camera with a built-in strobe having a pop-up function of a strobe light emitting unit. An object is to provide a camera with a built-in strobe to which an external unit can be attached and an external unit for a camera that can be externally attached to a camera with a built-in strobe.

Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawings.
[Example 1]
FIG. 1 is a diagram showing a camera with a built-in strobe according to an embodiment of the present invention. The camera with a built-in strobe according to the present embodiment is a digital camera and includes a
As shown in FIG. 2, a
3 is a perspective view showing the external shape of the EVF device according to an embodiment of the external unit of the present embodiment, FIG. 4 is a perspective view of the EVF device shown in FIG. 3 as viewed from the back, and FIG. The cross-sectional view cut on the AA line is shown. As shown in FIG. 5, the
As shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, the
Further, as shown in FIG. 5, a lock member that is pivotally supported at the right end and rotatably mounted in the vertical direction and is always pulled downward by a spring member (not shown) is attached to the
Further, a holding
Further, the

On the other hand, in the
Next, the strobe
The storage position is a position where the strobe
The strobe
When the
FIG. 11 is a block circuit diagram for performing this control. In response to a detection signal from the external unit attachment detection means (detection switch) 23, the strobe movement prohibiting means 28 is operated via the
When the strobe
Further, in the present embodiment, when the strobe movement prohibiting means 28 is operated via the
As described above, in the camera with built-in strobe according to the present embodiment, the detecting means for detecting the attachment of the external unit is provided in the
[Example 2]
FIG. 12 is a cross-sectional view showing a schematic configuration of an EVF device which is an external unit according to another embodiment of the present invention. In FIG. 12, the same components as those of the first embodiment are denoted by the same reference numerals, and description thereof is omitted. The
That is, as shown in FIG. 12, the lock mechanism is provided in front of the

As described above, in the camera with a built-in strobe of this embodiment, the visual field unit rotation detecting means 31 that detects the rotation of the
In the present embodiment, an example of rotating from the horizontal position to the vertical position is shown, but the present invention can also be applied to rotation in the left-right direction.
In the present embodiment, the EVF device is exemplified as the external unit. However, the camera main body and the personal computer when the camera main body 1 is connected to a personal computer or the like and the image captured by the camera main body 1 is reproduced on a large display. It is also applicable as a relay adapter that connects
[Example 3]
In the first and second embodiments, the pop-up operation of the strobe
FIG. 16 is a top view of the camera with a built-in strobe in the present embodiment. In FIG. 16, the same components as those of the first embodiment are denoted by the same reference numerals, and description thereof is omitted.
In this embodiment, as shown in FIG. 16, a rod-shaped
FIG. 17 is a schematic view of the periphery of the lock pin before the EVF device is attached to the accessory shoe, (a) is a top view, and (b) is a side view. FIG. 18 is a schematic view of the periphery of the lock pin after the EVF device is mounted on the accessory shoe, (a) is a top view, and (b) is a side view.
As shown in FIGS. 17A and 17B, the
Next, when the
Although not shown, when the
Incidentally, an accessory unit other than the
FIG. 19 is a view schematically showing the periphery of the
