Claims (2)
- 車両のシリンダ・ヘッド・アセンブリと、シリンダ・ブロックと、前記シリンダ・ヘッド・アセンブリの合わせ面および前記シリンダ・ブロックの間に配置された多層スチール・ガスケットとを備え、
前記多層スチール・ガスケットは、ビード領域を含む金属層を有し、
前記金属層の前記ビード領域は、華氏約70度(約21.1℃)において、約1000MPAから約1150MPAの範囲の所定の引張強度と前記引張強度の少なくとも約90%の降伏強度とを持ち、ガスケット動作温度において、前記華氏約70度(約21.1℃)における引張強度の70%の引張強度を保持し、前記華氏約70度(約21.1℃)における降伏強度の70%の降伏強度を保持するステンレス材料で形成され、前記ガスケット動作温度は、華氏1600度(約871.1℃)を超える温度である、ガスケットシステム。 - 前記多層スチール・ガスケットが有する複数の金属層は、複数のシリンダ開口と、複数のボルト開口と、複数のジャケット開口とを含み、
前記複数のジャケット開口は、それぞれ冷却流体または潤滑流体を運び、
前記複数の金属層は、複数の開口がほぼ一直線にそろえられるように配置される、請求項1に記載のガスケットシステム。
