Description
従来より、通路の開通性を維持するために身体通路内に埋め込むように、永久又は生分解性の装置が開発されてきた。これらの装置は一般的に、経皮的に導入されて、身体通路内の所望位置に位置付けられるまで、管腔内を運搬される。
本発明は、分岐した身体管腔を支持する方法であって、分岐ステントを未拡張形態で身体管腔内の分岐部に送出するステップであって、分岐ステントは、遠位部分と、遠位部分より小さい力で変形可能である圧潰可能な近位部分とを有する、送出するステップと、遠位部分が分岐部の側枝血管内に実質的に位置し、近位部分が主血管内に実質的に位置するように、分岐ステントを位置付けるステップと、分岐ステントを側枝血管内で着座する形態に拡張させるステップと、主血管ステントを分岐ステントの脇で拡張させ、それにより、分岐ステントの圧潰可能な近位部分の少なくとも一部分を圧潰して主血管壁に当てるステップと、を含む方法に関する。
本明細書で使用する「圧潰」又は「圧潰された」という表現は、管状部材の対向側部の一方又は両方が、その対向側部が互いに接触、又は実質的に接触するように潰れることを表す。
Claims (12)
- 送出形態から拡張した組織支持形態に拡張可能な連続管状本体を備える事前圧潰ステントであって、前記送出形態の該本体は、第1の拡張可能な管状組織支持セグメント、及び前記第1の管状部分に連結された第2の拡張不能な圧潰部分を有する、事前圧潰ステント。
- 前記第2の圧潰部分は、前記第1の管状部分と同一のストラット構造を有する、請求項1に記載の事前圧潰ステント。
- 前記第2の圧潰部分は、前記第1の管状部分と異なるストラット構造を有する、請求項1に記載の事前圧潰ステント。
- 前記第2の圧潰部分の圧潰は、前記管の第1の側部が前記管の第2の側部と接触して、前記第2の圧潰部分において管腔がほとんどなくなるようにして行われる、請求項1に記載の事前圧潰ステント。
- 前記第1の管状部分は、薬剤を含む、請求項1に記載の事前圧潰ステント。
- ステント及び送出システムであって、
送出形態から拡張した組織支持形態に拡張可能な連続管状本体を有する事前圧潰ステントであって、前記送出形態の該本体は、第1の拡張可能な管状組織支持部分、及び該第1の管状組織支持部分に連結された第2の拡張不能な圧潰部分を有する、事前圧潰ステントと、
該事前圧潰ステントの前記第1の管状組織支持部分内に位置付けられるバルーンを有するバルーンカテーテルと
を備える、ステント及び送出システム。 - 前記バルーンカテーテルは、前記第2の圧潰部分の外側に延在する、請求項6に記載のシステム。
- 前記第2の圧潰部分は、前記第1の管状組織支持部分と同一のストラット構造を有する、請求項6に記載のシステム。
- 前記第2の圧潰部分は、前記第1の管状組織支持部分と異なるストラット構造を有する、請求項6に記載のシステム。
- 前記第2の圧潰部分の圧潰は、前記管状組織支持部分の第1の側部が前記管状組織支持部分の第2の側部と接触して、前記第2の圧潰部分において管腔がほとんどなくなるようにして行われる、請求項6に記載のシステム。
- 前記バルーンカテーテルは、前記ステントの外周面上のストラット間の側面開口に挿通される、請求項6に記載のシステム。
- 前記事前圧潰ステントは、薬剤を含む、請求項6に記載のシステム。
