Description
本出願は、2007年5月18日に出願された「直接的に椎骨を回旋させるための装置および方法」という表題の米国特許出願第60/930,770号の利得を主張するものであり、その開示内容は、参照することによって、ここに含まれるものとする。

Claims (11)
- 第1の顎部と、
第2の顎部と、
前記第1の顎部および前記第2の顎部を互いに接続し、かつ前記第1の顎部および前記第2の顎部を一体として閉位置を形成可能とするように構成されたヒンジと、
前記閉位置にて前記第1の顎部を前記第2の顎部に留めるためのロックと
を備え、
前記第1の顎部および前記第2の顎部の各々が、前記第1の顎部および前記第2の顎部のもう一方に向き合った内側部を有し、
前記内側部は、前記両顎部が閉位置にあるときに、前記第1の顎部および前記第2の顎部間に位置することになるレバーの少なくとも一部に適合するように構成された柔軟材料を有し、
前記レバーは、椎骨に位置決めされて取付けられた椎弓根スクリューに取付可能に構成されていることを特徴とする直接椎骨回旋具。 - 前記第1の顎部および前記第2の顎部の各々に取り付けられ、かつ前記第1の顎部および前記第2の顎部を互いに向かって、または互いに離れるように回旋させる構成となっているハンドルをさらに備えていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の直接椎骨回旋具。
- 前記第1の顎部および前記第2の顎部の柔軟材料が、それぞれ第1の層および第2の層を形成していることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の直接椎骨回旋具。
- 前記第1の層がポリマーおよびゴムから成る群から選択された材料から作製されていることを特徴とする請求項3に記載の直接椎骨回旋具。
- 前記第1の顎部および前記第2の顎部の各々における内側部の柔軟材料が、前記第1の顎部および前記第2の顎部のもう一方に向き合った実質的に平坦な表面を画成していることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の直接椎骨回旋具。
- 前記両顎部が閉位置にあるときに、前記実質的に平坦な表面が、互いに実質的に平行になるように構成されていることを特徴とする請求項5に記載の直接椎骨回旋具。
- 前記両顎部が閉位置にあるときに、前記両顎部の一方の柔軟材料が、前記両顎部のもう一方の柔軟材料に対して実質的に平行になるように延びていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の直接椎骨回旋具。
- 前記両顎部が閉位置にあるときに、前記両顎部の間に、前記直接椎骨回旋具に沿って延びる細長孔が画成され、前記両顎部の各々における内側部の柔軟材料が、実質的に前記細長孔の全長に沿って長手方向に延びていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の直接椎骨回旋具。
- 前記両顎部が閉位置にあるときに、前記両顎部の一方の柔軟材料と前記両顎部のもう一方の柔軟材料との間に中央孔を画成するように、前記両顎部の一方の柔軟材料が、前記両顎部のもう一方の柔軟材料に対して間隔を空けて配置され、前記中央孔が、複数の前記レバーを受け止めることに適合するように構成されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の直接椎骨回旋具。
- 直接的に椎骨を回旋させるためのシステムにおいて、
少なくとも2つの椎弓根スクリューと、
前記椎弓根スクリューに取付け可能な少なくとも2つのレバーと、
請求項1に記載の直接椎骨回旋具と
を備え、
前記直接椎骨回旋具が前記レバーをクランプ締結するように構成されていることを特徴とするシステム。 - 位置ずれした先端部を有する第3のレバーをさらに備えていることを特徴とする請求項10に記載のシステム。
