Description
上述したように、有機発光層15の発する色に応じて、それを構成する各層の膜厚は、異なる。すなわち、絵素中の各画素の発光領域は、それぞれ異なる発光材料が含有されている。このようにして、電極間の膜厚を調整することによって、有機発光層15の発する光を定常波となるように設定することができる。
上述した実施形態においては、絶縁物7の厚みが各画素にて異なる厚みに設定したが、これに限られない。例えば、全画素において、絶縁物7の厚みを一定に設定してもよい。

- 発光領域と該発光領域に併設される非発光領域とを有する画素を備え、
前記画素の前記発光領域が非発光時の状態で、前記画素の発光波長領域内に前記非発光領域に外光が入射して反射した反射波のスペクトルの極大値が存在することを特徴とする有機ELディスプレイ。 - 請求項1に記載の有機ELディスプレイにおいて、
前記発光波長領域内に前記発光波長領域に外光が入射して反射した反射波のスペクトルの極小値が存在することを特徴とする有機ELディスプレイ。 - 請求項1に記載の有機ELディスプレイにおいて、
前記画素を複数有する絵素を備え、
前記絵素は、第1色を発光する第1画素と、第2色を発光する第2画素と、第3色を発光する第3画素とを備えており、
前記第1画素、前記第2画素及び前記第3画素は、各画素の発光波長領域内に各画素に外光が入射して反射した反射波のスペクトルの極大値が存在することを特徴とする有機ELディスプレイ。 - 請求項1に記載の有機ELディスプレイにおいて、
前記画素が複数配列された表示部を備え、
前記発光領域に外光が入射して反射した反射波と前記非発光領域に外光が入射して反射した反射波とが合わさり、前記表示部から取り出される合波スペクトルの色座標がCIEx<0.4、CIEy<0.4であることを特徴とする有機ELディスプレイ。 - 請求項1に記載の有機ELディスプレイにおいて、
前記非発光領域は、前記発光領域の周囲を取り囲むように設けられていることを特徴とする有機ELディスプレイ。 - 請求項3に記載の有機ELディスプレイにおいて、
前記絵素はマトリックス状に複数設けられており、前記絵素中の前記複数の画素が規則的な順序で配列されていることを特徴とする有機ELディスプレイ。 - 請求項3に記載の有機ELディスプレイにおいて、
