Description
以下の用語及び条件は、以下に示す意味において、本明細書に用いられる。(1)ストリームの『部分』とは、ストリーム全体と同じ組成を有する画分又は容易に分離可能な成分をそこから除去することによって得られる部分を意味する(例えば、ストリームが水蒸気と炭化水素との混合物を含んでいる場合、水蒸気の大部分を凝縮した後、ストリームは水性部分及び炭化水素部分によって構成されている)。(2)『塔頂』ストリームとは、還流又はその他の何らかの理由のためにいずれかの部分を再循環した後に得られる、特定の帯域から回収される正味の塔頂ストリームを意味する。(3)『塔底』ストリームとは、再加熱及び/又は再沸騰のためにいずれかの部分を再循環した後、及び/又はいずれかの相分離の後に得られる、特定の帯域からの正味の塔底ストリームを意味する。(4)ラインは、そのラインを通じた流れを阻む位置に配置された弁を含んでいる場合、『遮断』される。(5)必要な圧縮器及び/又はポンプについては、比較的圧力の低い帯域から圧力の高い帯域へと向かう流れが示される際、その存在理由が理解される。(6)必要な加熱及び/又は冷却手段については、異なる温度下で稼動する帯域間の流れが示される際、その存在理由が理解される。(7)ある成分が、特定の帯域から回収された塔頂ストリーム内で濃縮される場合、『リフト』又は『ストリッピング』される。(8)『蒸気』ストリームとは、気体状の1つまたは複数の成分を含んだストリームを意味する。(9)『軽質オレフィン』という用語は、エチレン、プロピレン、及びそれらの混合物を意味する。(10)『ELAPO』モレキュラーシーブとは、以下の実験式:
を有するALO2、PO2及びELO2四面体単位の三次元微孔性骨格構造を有する物質を意味する。ここでELはシリコン、マグネシウム、亜鉛、鉄、コバルト、ニッケル、マンガン、クロミウム及びそれらの混合物から成る群から選択される金属であって、xはELのモル分率であって、少なくとも0.005であり、yはアルミニウムのモル分率であって、少なくとも0.01であり、zはリンのモル分率であって、少なくとも0.01であり、そしてx+y+z=1である。ELが金属の混合物である場合、xは存在する金属混合物の総量を表す。好ましい金属(EL)はシリコン、マグネシウム及びコバルトであって、シリコンは特に好ましい。(11)『SAPOモレキュラーシーブ』とは、EL元素が米国特許第4,440,871号に述べられているようなシリコンであるELAPOモレキュラーシーブを意味する。(12)『OTO』プロセスとは、オキシジェネートを軽質オレフィンに転化するためのプロセスを意味し、好ましい実施の形態において、オキシジェネートがメタノールである場合、このOTOプロセスはMTOプロセスと呼ばれる。(13)『オキシジェネート』という用語は、好ましくは1〜10個の炭素原子を含んだ酸素置換脂肪族炭化水素を意味する。(14)試薬は、触媒の物理的、化学的及び触媒的特性が試薬との相互作用によって変化することが恒久的に無い場合、触媒系と『適合可能』である。
本発明のOTOプロセスにおいて、供給物ストリームは、1つ又は複数のオキシジェネートより構成されている。ここで『オキシジェネート』という用語は、アルコール、エーテル、及びカルボニル化合物(例えば、アルデヒド、ケトン、カルボン酸等)を含んだ意味で用いられる。上記オキシジェネート供給原料は、好ましくは、少なくとも1つの酸素原子及び1〜10個の炭素原子、より好ましくは1〜4個の炭素原子を含んでいる。好ましいオキシジェネートは、直鎖又は分岐鎖アルカノール、及びそれらの不飽和相当物の含有量が少ない。好ましいオキシジェネート化合物の典型例は、メタノール、ジメチルエーテル(DME)、エタノール、ジエチルエーテル、メチルエーテル、ホルムアルデヒド、ジメチルケトン、酢酸及びそれらの混合物である。
本発明のプロセスについての以下の説明は添付図面に準拠している。本発明の説明を簡略化して理解を容易にするために、図面には、加熱器、熱交換器、冷却器、弁、制御手段及び化学工業技術の通常のスキルを有する者には公知の他の従来事項については、それらの存在が本発明の理解のために不可欠である場合を除いて記載されていない。

Claims (8)
- オキシジェネートをオレフィンに転化するためのプロセスにおいて、前記プロセスが:
a)反応器内で1つ又は複数のオキシジェネートから成る供給物ストリームを触媒と接触させ、軽質オレフィンから成る生成物ストリームを生成するステップであって、前記反応器が、ガスがより速い速度で移動する第1域と、ガスがそれよりも遅い速度で移動する第2域の少なくとも2つの帯域で構成されることを特徴とするステップと;及び
b)次に多量の不活性ガスから成るパージガスを前記第2域へと導入し、前記第2域内に存在する任意の物質の循環を増大させて、前記反応器内の停滞域内に副生成物が蓄積するのを防ぎ、該停滞域内の触媒上又は該停滞域内の表面上へのコークスの堆積量を低減させるステップであって、前記パージガスが、前記反応器内へ導入される供給物ストリームとは異なるポイントから、前記第2域内の停滞ガスを有する傾向がある部位へと導入され、前記生成物ストリームに加えて存在することを特徴とするステップとから構成されるプロセス。 - 前記不活性ガスが、メタン及び水素の混合物、窒素及びそれらの混合物から成る群から選択されることを特徴とする請求項1記載のプロセス。
- 前記メタン及び水素が、生成物ストリームからメタン及び水素を除去する生成物分離器によって生成されることを特徴とする請求項2記載のプロセス。
- 前記不活性ガスが、反応副生成物の混合を増大させることを特徴とする請求項1又は2記載のプロセス。
- 前記第2域が、前記第1域の上に配置されていることを特徴とする請求項1,2又は3記載のプロセス。
- オキシジェネートをオレフィンに転化するための装置において、前記装置が、前記オキシジェネートを触媒と接触させ、軽質オレフィン及びその他の炭化水素から成る生成物ストリームを生成する反応器によって構成され、前記反応器内に、前記生成物ストリームが前記反応器内のその他の領域よりも遅い速度で移動する少なくとも1つの停滞流域が存在し、また前記停滞流域に隣接し、かつ前記反応器内に導入されるオキシジェネートの導入口とは異なる位置に引き込み口が配置され、ここから不活性ガスの流れが前記停滞流域内の停滞ガスを有する傾向がある部位に導入されることにより、前記停滞流域内に副生成物が蓄積するのを防ぎ、該停滞流域内の触媒上又は該停滞流域内の表面上へのコークスの堆積量を低減させ、前記生成物ストリームを前記停滞流域から移動させることを特徴とする装置。
- 前記不活性ガスが、メタン及び水素の混合物、窒素及びそれらの混合物から成る群から
選択されることを特徴とする請求項6記載の装置。 - メタン及びその他の炭化水素を前記生成物ストリームから除去する生成物分離域におい
て、前記メタン及び水素が、前記生成物ストリームから除去されることを特徴とする請求項7記載の装置。
