Description
一つは、受動型の湿熱交換器(HME、通称:「人工鼻」)、もう一つは、熱源を用いた能動型の加温加湿器である。
前者の受動的なHMEはさらに、親水性材料に吸湿材を含浸させたタイプ、疎水性材料に吸湿材を含浸させたタイプ、疎水性膜と親水性膜を合わせたタイプ、の三種類に分類できる。
例えば、特許文献1は第三の種類のHMEを開示する。また、非特許文献1には複数のHMEが詳述されている。
どのタイプも、呼気中の水蒸気の一部がHMEの素子内部の微細な空間中で露点にて凝縮し、その凝縮した水分が、吸気によって蒸発して加湿が行われると考えられている。また、吸気を加温する場合は、局所的な熱の蓄積現象が繰り返されると予測されている。
Claims (6)
- 患者の呼吸器系と麻酔器に接続された麻酔回路または人工呼吸器に接続された呼吸回路との間に配されるよう構成された、麻酔下または人工呼吸下の患者に必要な吸気の温度及び湿度を維持するための湿熱交換器であって、
蓄熱部と、
前記蓄熱部に添加された湿熱再生材料とを含み、
前記蓄熱部の密度、前記蓄熱部のセル数、及び前記蓄熱部への前記湿熱再生材料の添加量のうちの少なくとも一つが、前記蓄熱部を流れる呼気の流向に沿って患者側から麻酔器または人工呼吸器側に向かって減少している、湿熱交換器。 - 前記蓄熱部がポリウレタン及び/またはセルロースを含む、請求項1に記載の湿熱交換器。
- 前記蓄熱部の密度が20〜80kg/m3である、請求項2に記載の湿熱交換器。
- 前記蓄熱部の麻酔器または人工呼吸器側の密度が、患者側の密度の1/2から2/3になるように調節された、請求項3に記載の湿熱交換器。
- 前記蓄熱部のセル数が1インチ(2.54cm)当たり5〜80セルの範囲である、請求項2に記載の湿熱交換器。
- 前記蓄熱部が、塩化カルシウム、炭酸カルシウム、及び硫酸カルシウムのうちの少なくとも一つを含む、請求項2に記載の湿熱交換器。
