<実施例1>
1.0.0031g Johnson-Matthey Pt-black粉末を取り500μL希釈の0.5%(wt%)のNafion(ナフィオン:1970年代に米国・デュポン社が開発した全フッ素化イオマーの商品名)溶液中に分散させた。
2.7μLNafion溶液を0.1964cm2のGCF(glassy carbon fiber)上に滴下するとともに、80℃のオーブン中に置いて乾燥させた。
3.電極を5%メタノール溶液中に置くとともに、10−9のSnCl2および0.5M硫酸溶液をメタノール溶液中に加え、対照例は、同一の電極を使用し、メタノール溶液中に触媒性のイオン塩類を加えなかった。
4.サイクリックボルタンメトリー(cyclic voltammetry)テストは、Pt-black/GCFを工作電極(working electrode)、白金電極をカウンター電極(counter electrode)および標準甘汞(がんこう)電極(カロメル電極 calomel electrode とも言う)を参考電極とし、走査範囲を-0.24Vから0.85V、走査範囲を5mVs-1とし、測定結果を図1に示した。

Claims (8)
- 有機液体燃料を含む液体燃料の酸化反応を触媒する触媒性を備えた金属イオンおよび/またはその塩類が添加され、
前記有機液体燃料が、メタノール・エタノール・プロパノール・C 1 〜C 5 のアルキルアルコール類・C 1 〜C 5 の有機酸類など又はその混合物から選択され、前記金属イオンがSn 2+ およびRu 2+ から選択されることを特徴とする、
液体燃料の酸化活性を向上するようにされた触媒性を備えた液体燃料。 - 前記触媒性を備えた金属塩類が、酸化物、水酸化物、窒素酸化物、硫化物、シアン化物、ハロゲン化物、有機酸塩、無機酸塩などから選ばれるものである請求項1記載の触媒性を備えた液体燃料。
- 前記ハロゲン化物が、塩化物である請求項2記載の触媒性を備えた液体燃料。
- 前記液体燃料は、更に、N2H4・NaBH4・LiBH4 から成るグループから選択された還元性物質を含む請求項1記載の触媒性を備えた液体燃料。
- 前記イオン塩類が、水溶液または有機分子溶液中で解離できる塩類である請求項1記載の触媒性を備えた液体燃料。
- 前記触媒性を備えた金属イオンおよび/またはその塩類の添加量が、特別に制限されるものではなく、必要とする効果を有する範囲内まで添加される請求項1記載の触媒性を備えた液体燃料。
- 請求項1〜6のいずれか1項記載の触媒性を備えた液体燃料を用いた燃料電池。
- 前記金属イオンの塩類がSnCl2およびRuCl2から選択される請求項1記載の触媒性を備えた液体燃料。
