Description
The present invention relates to an apparatus and method for welding two workpieces such as circular tubes.
For example, when manufacturing a long circular pipe provided in a boiler or the like, the open ends of two circular pipes having the same diameter are grooved to form a welded portion, and the welded portions are brought into contact with each other. A technique of welding the pipes while rotating them is used. Conventionally, in order to automatically weld such circular tubes, a welding apparatus including a tool such as a TIG torch that penetrates the welded portion from the outer peripheral side has been used (see, for example, Patent Document 1).
The center position of the welded portion may be eccentric with respect to its own rotation axis, and this becomes prominent when the circular tube to be welded is long and the end portion is largely bent. In order to perform welding precisely, it is important that the two circular pipes are maintained in a state of being butt-matched even if there is such a large bend.
However, according to
Therefore, the present invention has an object of minimizing the misunderstanding as much as possible when welding two workpieces such as circular pipes, and therefore aims to improve the welding quality.
To achieve the above object, a welding apparatus according to the present invention is a welding apparatus that performs butt welding while synchronously rotating the first and second circular tubes, and synchronously rotates the first and second circular tubes. A rotating means; a pipe moving means for moving the first circular pipe in a plane perpendicular to the rotation axis; a center detecting section for detecting a center position of each welded portion of the first and second circular pipes; First position information representing a deviation of the center position of the welded portion of one circular pipe with respect to the rotation axis and second position information representing a deviation of the center position of the welded portion of the second circular pipe with respect to the rotation axis are acquired. Based on the position information acquisition unit, the first and second position information, and the rotation angle of the first and second circular tubes, the center position of the welded portion of the first circular tube is determined as the welded portion of the second circular tube. Movement amount calculation to calculate the amount of movement necessary to match the center position of And parts, is characterized in that the movement amount of the first circular pipe and a pipe movement control unit for controlling the operation of said tube moving means to move.
By adopting such a configuration, even if the first circular tube and the second circular tube are decentered in different directions and different amounts with respect to the rotation axis, information and a rotation angle indicating a deviation with respect to the rotation axis are obtained. Since the center position of the welded portion of the first circular tube is made to coincide with the center position of the welded portion of the second circular tube, the welded portion of the first circular tube and the welded portion of the second circular tube are rotated. Rotates without a difference regardless of the angle. In this way, since the misunderstanding is eliminated regardless of the rotation angle, the welding quality can be improved.
The rotating means is connected to the rotational drive source, a first drive shaft connected to the rotational drive source and outputting rotational power to the first circular tube, and coupled to the first drive shaft via a universal joint. A second drive shaft that outputs rotational power to the second circular tube may be provided. By setting it as such a structure, the movement in the plane orthogonal to the rotating shaft of a 1st circular pipe | tube can be absorbed with a universal joint.
The apparatus further comprises position detecting means for detecting the surface position of each welded portion of the first and second circular pipes, and the center detecting portion is a plurality separated from each other in the circumferential direction of each welded portion detected by the position detecting means. It is also possible to obtain the surface position of the surface, define a perfect circle passing through the plurality of surface positions, and determine the center of the perfect circle as the center position of the weld. The first and second circular pipes further include height detecting means for detecting the height of the apex of each welded portion, and the center detecting portion rotates at a predetermined rotation of each welded portion detected by the height detecting means. A configuration may be used in which the vertex height at the corner is acquired and the center position of the weld is calculated based on the vertex height and the pipe diameter.
A torch that operates to penetrate the welded portion to weld the welded portion, a torch moving means for moving the torch, the first and second position information, and a rotation angle of the first and second circular tubes And a torch operation control unit for controlling the operation of the torch moving means so that the relative position between the welding position on the pipe and the tip of the torch is constant. By adopting such a configuration, even if the welds of the first and second circular pipes are eccentrically rotated, the welding position on the pipe and the relative position of the torch tip do not vary with respect to the circumferential direction. Therefore, even if the center position of the welded portion is decentered with respect to the rotation axis, for example, it is possible to perform well-stable backside welding over the entire circumferential direction.
A torch movement amount for calculating a torch movement amount necessary for making the relative position between the welding position on the pipe and the tip of the torch constant based on the second position information and the rotation angles of the first and second circular pipes. The torch operation control unit may further include a calculation unit, and may control the operation of the torch moving means so that the torch moves by the amount of movement of the torch. In addition, an electrical physical quantity detecting means for detecting an electrical physical quantity generated between the torch and the welded portion is further provided, and the torch operation control unit keeps the electrical physical quantity constant so as to make the torch height constant. The structure which controls operation | movement of the said torch moving means may be sufficient.
Further, the welding method according to the present invention is a welding method for performing butt welding while synchronously rotating the first and second workpieces, detecting the center position of each welded portion of the first and second workpieces, First position information representing a displacement of the center position of the welded portion of the first workpiece with respect to the rotation axis and second position information representing a displacement of the center position of the welded portion of the second workpiece with respect to the rotation axis are acquired. Based on the first and second position information, the center position of the welded portion of the first workpiece is changed to the center position of the welded portion of the second workpiece according to the rotation angle of the first and second workpieces. The first and second workpieces are welded to each other while the first workpiece is moved in a plane orthogonal to the rotation axis so as to coincide with each other.
By adopting such a method, similarly to the above, the welded portion of the first workpiece and the welded portion of the second workpiece are rotated without any difference regardless of the rotation angle. For this reason, welding quality can be improved.
As described above, according to the present invention, two workpieces can be welded to each other with as little difference as possible, thereby improving the welding quality.
Embodiments according to the present invention will be described below with reference to the accompanying drawings. Hereinafter, the rotation axis direction of the workpiece may be described as “X direction”, one direction in a plane orthogonal to the X direction as “Y direction”, and the direction orthogonal to the Y direction in this plane may be described as “Z direction”. . In addition, the welding apparatus according to the present embodiment has a configuration in which the X direction is horizontally oriented when properly installed on a horizontal plane. In the following description, this situation is assumed, and for convenience, in this situation, the Y direction is used. Further, it is assumed that the Z direction is oriented vertically and the Z direction is oriented vertically. However, the definition of these directions can be changed as appropriate without departing from the scope of the present invention.
(First embodiment)
FIG. 1 is a schematic diagram showing a schematic configuration of a
The first and
The rotation unit 4 is configured to rotate the
The
The
According to the rotation unit 4, when the
At the open ends of the
The
The
The
The
The
The operations and functions of the function blocks 31 to 38 will be briefly described. The
FIG. 2 is a partial rear view of the
A
A
For this reason, as described above, the
FIG. 3 is a plan view of the
A
Two
Two
A

Further, when the
That is, the
As described above, the first

Next, in order to butt-weld the first and second
Referring to FIG. 4, when welding the first and second
FIG. 5 is a flowchart showing the specific contents of the center position detection process (step S2) according to the first embodiment. FIG. 6 is a conceptual diagram of this process. The outline of the flow according to the first embodiment shown in FIG. 5 is to first measure a plurality of surface positions of each welded portion, and define a perfect circle that approximates the cross-sectional shape of the welded portion based on the measured surface positions. The center of the perfect circle is determined as the center position of the weld. This flow is performed in order for each welded
First, the number N of surface positions to be measured is set (step S201). FIG. 6 illustrates the case where N is 3. “K” is a parameter used for convenience to easily explain this process, and is the number of measured surface positions. That is, k in step S201 is 0. Note that the number N may be set each time welding is performed, but the processing in step S201 may be omitted on the assumption that a predetermined number N of surface positions are always measured.
Next, by driving the rotary unit 4 and 0deg the rotation angle of the circular tube 91 (step S202), and it measures the surface position P 0 of the
At this time, the
Thus, when the surface position P 0 at 0 deg is measured and k becomes 1 (step S204), the rotary unit 4 is driven and controlled to rotate the
Next, 1 is added to k (step S207), and it is determined whether or not the number k of measured surface positions has reached the number N of surface positions to be measured (step S208). When it is determined that the distance has not been reached, the process returns to step S205, the circular tube is rotated again by 360 / N deg, the surface position P k of 360 / N × k deg is measured, and k is incremented by one. In this manner, the processes in steps S205 to S207 are repeated to measure the surface position every 360 / N ° until the number k of the measured surface positions reaches the number N of surface positions to be measured.
When it is determined that the number k of measured surface positions has reached the number N of surface positions to be measured, the surface positions P 1 , P 2 , P 3 of the respective rotation angles measured as shown in FIG. Is converted into a position in the case of a predetermined rotation angle (for example, 0 deg) (step S209).
Next, a perfect circle C 1 passing through the converted surface positions P 1 , P 2 , P 3 is defined (step S210). Then, the center coordinates (y 1 , z 1 ) of the prescribed perfect circle C 1 are obtained and determined as the center position O1 of the welded portion 93 (step S211).
Returning to FIG. 4, information representing the deviation of the center positions O1 and O2 determined in this way from the rotation axis X1 is acquired (step S3). FIG. 7 shows a conceptual diagram of this process (step S3). Here, it is assumed that the rotation axis X1 is set to the origin (0, 0) of the YZ orthogonal coordinates. When the coordinates of the center position O1 of the welded
When the coordinate of the center position O2 of the welded
As described above, the shift amount and the shift angle (first position information) with respect to the rotation axis X1 of the center position O1 of the welded
Returning to FIG. 4 again, the operation of the rotating unit 4 is controlled to control the operation of the
Then, the operation of the
ここで、回転角αのときの溶接部93の中心位置O1の座標は(L1cos(θ1+α), L1sin(θ1+α))であり、溶接部94の中心位置O2の座標は(L2cos(θ2+α), L2sin(θ2+α))である。
FIG. 8 is a conceptual diagram of the process of moving the first and second
The
Further, if the welding position on the welded
In step S6, first, in order to make this relative position constant regardless of the rotation angle α, the
In step S6, the
In this way, the welding operation is performed while the first
When it is determined that the welding operation is completed, a predetermined end operation is performed (step S8), and the first and second

(Second Embodiment)
FIG. 9 is a flowchart showing the specific contents of the center position detection process (step S2) according to the second embodiment, and FIG. 10 is a schematic view showing the schematic configuration around the welded portion of the pipe according to the second embodiment in the axial direction. FIG. In addition, about the same structure as 1st Embodiment, the same code | symbol is attached | subjected and detailed description is abbreviate | omitted.

In the first embodiment, the TIG torch 14 (see FIG. 1) is used as the sensor 39 (see FIG. 1) for detecting the contact with the surfaces of the welded
Referring to FIG. 9, first, the rotation unit 4 is driven to set the rotation angle of the
Next, a perfect circle passing through each measured surface position is defined (step S223). Then, the center coordinates of the specified perfect circle are obtained and determined as the center positions O1 and O2 of the welded
By performing the processing after step S3 in FIG. 4 based on the center positions O1 and O2 thus detected, a highly durable and high-quality pipe product is provided in the same manner as in the first embodiment.

FIG. 11 is a flowchart showing specific contents of the center position detection process (step S2) of the third embodiment, and FIG. 12 is a conceptual diagram of this process. In addition, about the same structure as 1st Embodiment, the same code | symbol is attached | subjected and detailed description is abbreviate | omitted.
The outline of the flow according to the third embodiment shown in FIG. 11 is to first measure the vertex height of each welded
Moreover, in order to obtain | require the center position of the
Referring to FIG. 11, first, the rotation unit 4 is driven to set the rotation angle of the
By performing the processing after step S3 in FIG. 4 based on the center positions O1 and O2 thus detected, a highly durable and high-quality pipe product is provided in the same manner as in the first embodiment. For example, the workpieces welded to each other can be applied in the same manner even if they are square tubes. In this case, the cross-sectional shape of the welded portion of the workpiece can be rectangular, but the present invention can be applied by, for example, capturing the intersection of diagonal lines as the center position. Also, the tool provided in the welding unit is not limited to the TIG type, for example, MAG-type or MIG type or CO 2 type, etc., may be of any type.
Further, the control of the tip position of the
