Description
[発明の分野]
本発明は、概して流体送達装置に関し、より詳細には、患者の皮膚表面範囲に流体薬剤を供する流体薬剤送達装置に関する。
経皮パッチは、流体薬剤等の薬学的物質を患者の皮膚を通過させることにより、そのような流体を患者に送達する機構として既知である。経皮パッチは、例えば、ホルモン補充療法及び禁煙等の治療に使用されている。経皮パッチの種類のうち1つは、補充不可な(unreplenishable)薬学的物質の供給を含む。このパッチは、パッチを皮膚に接着しやすくするための、皮膚接触接着層を有する。一般に、そのような経皮パッチは、物質が患者に送達される期間、皮膚の適した範囲に接着される。

。もし細菌又は他の汚染物質が接着片420と患者の皮膚との間に入ったとしても、有利なことに、抗菌性物質層330が流体送達装置400により覆われた範囲の感染率を減少させる。例えば、上記に記載されるように、抗菌性物質層330は、好ましくは微生物殺傷性を示す銀イオン材料を含有する。したがって、有利なことに、接着片420と抗菌性物質層330との組合せは、共同して、流体送達装置400により覆われた皮膚部を清潔にするために装置400を取り外すことを必要とせずに、この範囲の感染率を減少させる。
Claims (10)
- 流体薬剤送達装置であって、
流体不透過ポーチと、
流体注入口と、
流体半透過層とを含み、
前記流体不透過ポーチは、向かい合う第一壁及び第二壁を有し、該第一壁及び該第二壁はそれらの間にある空間を確定し、該空間は前記流体薬剤送達装置の流体リザーバを確定し、該第二壁は該壁を貫通し該流体薬剤送達装置の拡散部を確定する複数の開口部を含み、
前記流体注入口は、前記流体リザーバと連絡し、流体が前記流体リザーバに入れるように形状が定められた弁を含み、前記流体注入口は流体供給と接続することを可能にし、
前記流体半透過層は、前記送達装置の少なくとも前記拡散部を覆い、前記流体半透過層は、前記流体リザーバ内の流体が該流体半透過層を通過しなければ該流体薬剤送達装置を出られないように形状が定められている、前記流体薬剤送達装置。 - 前記流体注入口は、流体が前記流体リザーバに入れるように形状が定められた一方向弁を含む、請求項1に記載の送達装置。
- 流体は、流体圧力の外部源により該流体にかけられる圧力に応答して、前記流体半透過層を通って拡散可能である、請求項1または2に記載の送達装置。
- 前記流体半透過層は、孔の大きさが0.25ミクロン未満である多孔質膜を含む、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の送達装置。
- 前記第二壁の前記開口部は、約0.25ミクロン〜0.254mmの間の直径を有する、請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載の送達装置。
- 前記流体不透過ポーチは前記第一壁と前記第二壁との間の円周シールを含み、前記流体半透過層の外周は該円周シールによって密閉される、請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載の送達装置。
- 少なくとも1つの内部壁を前記流体リザーバ内にさらに含み、該内部壁は該流体リザー

- 前記流体半透過層は、ポリエチレン、ポリスルホン、ポリエーテルスルホン、ポリビニリデンジフルオリド、ポリカーボネート、ナイロン、高密度ポリエチレン、及びポリテトラフルオロエチレンのうち1つから選択される材料を含む、請求項1〜9のいずれか一項に記載の送達装置。
