Description
表1の例示のコーティング組成では、コーティング組成の第1の実施形態と一致して、耐食性粒子は耐火性粒子のみ、この場合にはSM8のアルミナ、およびA17SGのアルミナを含む。しかし、その他の耐火性粒子を利用することができ、本明細書にさらに述べられるように、少なくとも2つの粒子寸法の範囲で提供されることが好ましい。
表2の例示のコーティング組成では、本発明の第2の実施形態と一致して、耐食性粒子は、耐火性粒子および非耐火性粒子の両方を含む。この例では、非耐火性粒子は、Feを含み約10重量パーセントのアルミニウムを有する鉄ベースの合金であるFeAlである。例示のFeAlが Praxair Surface Technologiesによって生産され、Fe−125として明示される。Fe−125は、約27ミクロンより小さい平均粒子寸法を有すると報告されている。上述の例示の調合物では、Fe−125は、約5ミクロンより小さい平均粒子寸法を有するようにさらに選別された。さらに、SM8のアルミナは、耐火性粒子として提供された。しかし、本明細書にさらに説明されるように、CO−210−6(CoNiCrAlY合金パウダー)、A16SGアルミナ、A17SGアルミナ、か焼アルミナ、ナノアルミナ、およびその組合せなどのその他の適切な耐火性および非耐火性の粒子を使用することができる。
バインダーは、好ましくはシリコーンバインダーであり、より好ましくはポリメチルシロキサンバインダーである。前述したように、好ましいシリコーンバインダーには、General ELECTRIC Silicones社によるSR350およびSR355が含まれる。たとえば、SR350は、1.05から1.10の比重、立方センチメートル当り1.02から1.14グラムのバルク密度、最大0.3のゲルのパーセント、および400から2000cpsの溶融粘度を有するポリシロキサン族のメチルセスキシロキサン混合物である。シリコーン樹脂は、参照によって本明細書に組み込まれる米国特許第6210791号の図4に明記される調合によって代表することができ、R’、R、およびR”は、好ましくは1から14の炭素原子を有するアルキル基から選択され、最も好ましくはメチル基であり、nは好ましくは1〜1000、たとえば1から500から選択される。SR355も同様にポリシロキサン族のメチルセスキシロキサン混合物として分類されている。
溶剤は、メタノール、エタノール、プロパノール、またはその組合せなどのアルコールを含むが、アセトンまたはトリクロロエチレンなどのその他の極性有機溶剤もさらにまたは選択的に使用できる。より好ましくは、溶剤は無水アルコールを含む。最も好ましくは、溶剤は約95重量パーセントのエチルアルコール、および約5重量パーセントのイソプロピルアルコールを含む。
表面活性剤は適宜含まれる。適切な表面活性剤は、Whitco Chemical社からPS21Aとして販売されている市販の表面活性剤である。PS21Aは、アルキル有機フォスフェートエステル酸の表面活性剤として製造業者により定められ、アルミナ粒子および/または組成のその他の耐火性粒子の湿潤を促進すると考えられている。任意の表面活性剤は、好ましくは1重量パーセントより少ない組成を含む。

Claims (10)
- (a)当該コーティング組成物の5〜45重量%をなす、6価クロムを含まないバインダーであって、シリコーンを含むバインダーと、
(b)当該コーティング組成物の15〜92重量%をなす、耐食性粒子であって、温度1200°F(648.9℃)で測定してアルミナの熱膨張係数以上の熱膨張係数を有する耐火性粒子と、FeAl、CoNiCrAlY及びこれらの組合せからなる群から選択される非耐火性粒子とを含む耐食性粒子と、
(c)当該コーティング組成物の3〜50重量%をなす、水以外の溶剤と
を含む耐食性コーティング組成物であって、施工される超合金基材と適合した熱膨張係数を有するコーティング組成物。 - 前記耐火性粒子が、アルミナ、ジルコニア、ハフニア、イットリア安定化ジルコニア、イットリア安定化ハフニア、セリア、クロミア、マグネシア、酸化鉄、チタニア、イットリア、イットリウムアルミニウムガーネット(YAG)及びこれらの組合せからなる群から選択される、請求項1記載のコーティング組成物。
- 前記バインダーがシロキサンを含む、請求項1又は請求項2記載のコーティング組成物。
- 当該コーティング組成物が、5〜45重量%の前記バインダーと、3〜50重量%の前記溶剤と、10〜87重量%の前記非耐火性粒子と、5〜82重量%の前記耐火性粒子とを含む、請求項1乃至請求項3のいずれか1項記載のコーティング組成物。
- 前記非耐火性粒子が、5〜10重量%のコバルト、25〜40重量%のニッケル、15〜25重量%のクロム、5〜15重量%のアルミニウム及び0.10〜1.5重量%のイットリウムを含む、請求項4記載のコーティング組成物。
- 前記非耐火性粒子が、85〜95重量%の鉄と5〜15重量%のアルミニウムを含む、請求項4記載のコーティング組成物。
- 前記溶剤がアルコールを含む、請求項1乃至請求項6のいずれか1項記載のコーティング組成物。
- 超合金基材(60)と耐食性コーティング(64)からなる被覆物品であって、超合金基材(60)に請求項1乃至請求項7のいずれか1項記載のコーティング組成物を直接塗工し、該コーティング組成物を乾燥、硬化及び焼成して得られる、被覆物品。
- 前記バインダーが、第1の予め選択された温度に加熱されるとガラスマトリクス(63)を形成し、前記耐食性粒子が前記マトリクス中に実質的に均一に分布している、請求項8記載の被覆物品。
- 超合金基材(60)と耐食性コーティング(64)からなる被覆物品であって、超合金機材の表面に、MCrAlXコーティング、アルミナイド、貴金属改質アルミナイド及びそれらの組合せからなる群から選択される下塗りを塗工した後、請求項1乃至請求項7のいずれか1項記載のコーティング組成物を塗工し、該コーティング組成物を乾燥、硬化及び焼成して得られる、被覆物品。
