Description
本出願は、参照によりその全文が転載されているかのように本明細書に組み込まれる、Effenbergerらにより2007年8月31日に出願された、「Backward Compatible PON Coexistence(下位互換性を有するPON共存)」という名称の米国仮特許出願第60/969313号、およびEffenbergerらにより2008年2月28日に出願された、「Backward Compatible PON Coexistence(下位互換性を有するPON共存)」という名称の米国特許出願第12/039336号の優先権を主張するものである。
本発明は通信分野に関し、特に光回線終端装置、受動光ネットワークシステム、及び光通信方法に関する。
Claims (16)
- 光回線終端装置OLT部と、
光ネットワークユニットONU部と、
前記OLT部および前記ONU部に結合された光ルータ部と
を備えることを特徴とする光回線終端装置。 - 前記光ルータ部が4ポート波長分割多重化器WDMを備えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の光回線終端装置。
- 前記光ルータ部が、
前記4ポートWDMおよび前記OLT部に結合された第1の3ポートWDMと、
前記第1の3ポートWDMおよび前記OLT部に結合された光分岐器と、
前記光分岐器および前記ONU部に結合された光合成器と、
前記光合成器、前記ONU部および前記4ポートWDMに結合された第2の3ポートWDMと
をさらに備えることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の光回線終端装置。 - 前記光ルータ部が、前記第1の3ポートWDMと前記光分岐器の間に位置する光増幅器をさらに備えることを特徴とする請求項3に記載の光回線終端装置。
- 前記OLT部が、
前記第1の3ポートWDMに結合された光送信器と、
前記光分岐器に結合された光受信器と、
前記光送信器および前記光受信器に結合された媒体アクセス制御MAC論理と
を備えることを特徴とする請求項3に記載の光回線終端装置。 - 前記ONU部が
前記光合成器に結合された光送信器と、
前記第2の3ポートWDMに結合された光受信器と、
前記光送信器および前記光受信器に結合された媒体アクセス制御MAC論理と
を備えることを特徴とする請求項3に記載の光回線終端装置。 - 第1型の光回線終端装置OLTと、
前記第1型のOLTに結合された、少なくとも1つの第1型の光ネットワークユニットONUおよび少なくとも1つの第2型のONUと通信する第2型のOLTと
を備え、
前記第1型のOLTと前記第1型のONUは第1型の受動光ネットワークPONの構成要素であり、前記第2型のOLTと前記第2型のONUが、前記第1型のPONとは互換性のない第2型のPONの構成要素であることを特徴とする受動光ネットワークPONシステム。 - 前記第1型のOLTが第1型のインターフェースを備え、前記第2型のOLTが第2型のインターフェースを備えることを特徴とする、請求項7に記載のPONシステム。
- 前記第2型のOLTが第1型のONU部を備えることを特徴とする請求項7に記載のPONシステム。
- 前記第2型のOLTが第2型のOLT部を備えることを特徴とする請求項9に記載のPONシステム。
- 前記第2型のOLTが、前記第1型のOLT、前記第1型のONU部、前記第2型のOLT部、前記第1型のONU、および前記第2型のONUに結合された光ルータ部をさらに備えることを特徴とする請求項10に記載のPONシステム。
- 受動光ネットワークにおいて、OLT部と、光ネットワークユニットと、ONU部と、前記OLT部および前記ONU部に結合された光ルータ部とを備える光回線終端装置OLTが構成されていることを特徴とする光通信の方法であって、
前記OLTが第1型のOLTにアップストリームタイムスロットを要求し、
前記OLTが、第1のダウンストリームデータを前記第1型のOLTから受信し、少なくとも1つの第1型のONUに転送し、
前記OLTが、第2のダウンストリームデータを少なくとも1つの第2型のONUに送信すること
を含む方法。 - 前記OLTが、前記第1型のOLTから取得した前記アップストリームタイムスロットを、すべての第2型のONUの前記アップストリームタイムスロットとして使用し、前記第1型のOLTから取得した前記アップストリームタイムスロットを、すべての第2型のONUの間で割り当てること、をさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項12に記載の方法。
- 前記OLTが、第1のアップストリームデータを、前記第1型のONUから前記第1型のOLTに転送すること、をさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項13に記載の方法。
- 前記OLTが、第2のアップストリームデータを前記第2型のONUから受信すること、をさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項14に記載の方法。
- 前記第1のダウンストリームデータが第1の波長を使って転送され、前記第2のダウンストリームデータが第2の波長を使って送信され、前記第1のアップストリームデータが第3の波長を使って転送され、前記第2のアップストリームデータが前記第3の波長を使って受信されることを特徴とする請求項15に記載の方法。
