衝突検出機構をスタートするステップと、
第1部分と第2部分とを有するパケットであって、該パケットのソースアドレス及びデスティネーションアドレスの識別を少なくとも有する第2部分を有する前記パケットを受信するステップと、
前記パケットの第1部分の受信中に衝突を検出した場合には、衝突検出を示すパケットを発信しないステップと、
前記パケットの第2部分の受信中に衝突を検出した場合には、前記パケットの第1部分を正確に受信した後、衝突検出を示すパケットを発信するステップと、
を有する方法。 - 前記衝突検出機構をスタートするステップは、前記受信したパケットの第1部分において衝突検出フィールドを検出するステップを有する、請求項1記載の方法。
- 2つの装置によるパケットの同時送信が衝突を引き起こすネットワーク上で、衝突検出フィールドを有する第1部分と、前記パケットのソースアドレス及びデスティネーションアドレスの識別を少なくとも有する第2部分とから構成される前記パケットを受信するための装置であって、
前記受信したパケットの第1部分における衝突検出フィールドを特定し、前記衝突検出フィールドに従って衝突検出機構をスタートする手段と、
前記パケットの第2部分の受信中に衝突を検出する手段と、
前記パケットの第2部分の受信中に衝突が検出された場合には、前記パケットの第1部分を正確に受信した後に衝突検出を示すパケットを発信し、前記パケットの第1部分の受信中に衝突が検出された場合には、衝突検出を示すパケットを発信しない手段と、
を有する装置。
