c.鉄製リング5(剛性リング)は、本体ゴム7の径小円筒部71の全周に嵌め込まれていなくても良く、前部外周のみでも良い(図4参照)。
d.図5に示す様に、マンホールと下水本管との接続構造は、本体ゴム8に折り返し部が無い構造でも良い。なお、81は拡張リング、82は剛性リング、4は円管である。

立坑へ連通する横穴に敷設され、前記取付穴へ臨む断面円形の下水本管と、
下水本管外周と取付穴内壁との間の隙間にマンホール内から押し込まれる可とうジョイントと、
ジョイント外周と取付穴内壁との間の間隙に充填されるシール材とを有するマンホールと下水本管との接続構造であって、
前記可とうジョイントは、
筒外方向へ延びる鍔および内壁面から筒内方へ突設する止水用突起を有し、前記取付穴へ推進させた前記下水本管の端部を外嵌する等径の径小円筒部、筒外方向へ延びる折返部、および立坑内壁から遠ざかる方向に延びる等径の径大円筒部を順に有する可とう性円筒体と、
立坑内壁に近い方の円管後部が前記径大円筒部に外嵌され、前記径小円筒部を囲む様に延びる等径の鋼製円管と、
前記径小円筒部の外周に嵌め込まれる剛性リングと、
前記径大円筒部の外周に取り付けられる締付具とからなることを特徴とするマンホールと下水本管との接続構造。
