Claims (10)
- 基体(10)内の内部通路(18)によって画定される内表面を侵すことなく前記基体(10)の外表面上の金属コーティングを選択的に剥離する方法であって、
(a)75℃より高い溶融温度を有する熱分解可能なポリエチレンワックス(20)の溶融ワックスを前記内部通路(18)内に堆積する段階と、
(b)前記溶融ワックスを凝固させて内部冷却通路(18)内にポリエチレンワックス(20)の固体マスクを形成して、内部通路(18)によって画定される内表面をマスクする段階と、
(c)前記ポリエチレンワックス(20)の前記溶融温度より低い温度にあり、式HXAF6 (式中、Aは珪素、ゲルマニウム、チタン、ジルコニウム、アルミニウム、またはガリウムであり、xが1から6までの数値である。)の酸を含有する水溶液を用いて前記基体(10)を処理する段階であって、前記水溶液が前記基体(10)の前記外表面から前記金属コーティングを実質的に除去し、前記ポリエチレンワックス(20)が前記水溶液に実質的に非反応性であり、前記基体(10)の前記内表面に前記水溶液が接触することを防止する、段階と、
(d)次いで、前記基体(10)を加熱してポリエチレンワックス(20)を溶融させ、その一部を除去した後、さらに基体(10を加熱して有害な副生成物を生成することなく前記ポリエチレンワックス(20)を熱分解する段階と
を含む方法。 - 前記酸が、フルオロ珪酸であり、前記水溶液中に0.05Mから5Mまでのレベルで存在することを特徴とする、請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記水溶液がさらに、前記水溶液中に0.1Mから0.5Mまでのレベルで燐酸を含有することを特徴とする、請求項1又は請求項2記載の方法。
- 前記水溶液がさらに、前記水溶液中に0.02Mから0.1Mまでのレベルで塩化水素酸を含有することを特徴とする、請求項1乃至請求項3のいずれか1項記載の方法。
- 前記酸がフルオロ珪酸であり、前記水溶液が24体積パーセント燐酸(80%水溶液)、および5体積パーセント塩化水素酸(37%水溶液)から成る酸含有量を有し、残部は前記フルオロ珪酸(23%水溶液)であることを特徴とする、請求項1記載の方法。
- 段階(c)における前記水溶液の温度が75℃〜85℃であることを特徴とする、請求項1乃至請求項5のいずれか1項記載の方法。
- 前記金属コーティングがその表面上に酸化物層を有し、前記水溶液が実質的に前記酸化物層を除去することを特徴とする、請求項1乃至請求項6のいずれか1項記載の方法。
- 前記基体(10)がさらに、前記金属コーティングの上に重なるセラミック層を含むことを特徴とする、請求項1乃至請求項7のいずれか1項記載の方法。
- 前記金属コーティングがアルミニウム含有コーティングであることを特徴とする、請求項1乃至請求項8のいずれか1項記載の方法。
- 前記基体(10)がガスタービン部品(10)の超合金表面部位であり、前記内部通路(18)が前記部品(10)の冷却通路(18)であり、前記内表面が金属環境コーティングによって保護されることを特徴とする、請求項1乃至請求項9のいずれか1項記載の方法。
