Claims (17)
- 第一内部空間を形成する底壁および第一側壁を備えた第一金型半部を有し、第一側壁は第一縁部を備え、
第二内部空間を形成する頂壁および第二側壁を備えた第二金型半部を有し、第二側壁は第二縁部を備え、
第一および第二半部は、第一縁部と第二縁部との間にシートをクランプし、シートを第一および第二内部空間のうちの一方の内部空間内に吸引するための真空機構を有し、該真空機構は複数の制御可能な真空ポートを備え、該複数の制御可能な真空ポートは、前記金型半部の回りに配置され、真空源をシートの特定部分に指向させ、
前記第一および第二内部空間のうちの一方の内部空間内でのシートの吸引深さを検出する機構を更に有していることを特徴とするポリマー材料のシートの成形装置。 - 前記複数のポートは、シートの特定部分に真空を指向させる複数のポートで真空源を変える機構を備えていることを特徴とする請求項1記載の成形装置。
- 前記機構は、前記複数のポートの各ポートの弁を備えていることを特徴とする請求項2記載の成形装置。
- 前記複数のポートは、第一および第二内部空間のうちの一方の内部空間の周辺に隣接して配置されていることを特徴とする請求項1記載の成形装置。
- 前記複数のポートの多くが、第一および第二内部空間のうちの一方の内部空間の中央近くに配置されていることを特徴とする請求項4記載の成形装置。
- 第一内部空間を形成する底壁および第一側壁を備えた第一金型半部を有し、第一側壁は第一縁部を備え、
第二内部空間を形成する頂壁および第二側壁を備えた第二金型半部を有し、第二側壁は第二縁部を備え、
第一および第二半部は、第一縁部と第二縁部との間にシートをクランプし、シートを第一および第二内部空間のうちの一方の内部空間内に吸引するための真空機構を有し、該真空機構は1つ以上のマニホルドを備え、該1つ以上のマニホルドは複数のポートを有し、各ポートは、シートの特定部分に真空源を指向させて、シートの特定部分を前記第一および第二内部空間のうちの一方の内部空間内に吸引する、独立的に制御される真空源を備え、
前記第一および第二内部空間のうちの一方の内部空間内でのシートの吸引深さを検出する機構を更に有していることを特徴とするポリマー材料のシートの成形装置。 - 少なくとも2つのマニホルドを更に有することを特徴とする請求項6記載の成形装置。
- 前記マニホルドのうちの1つのマニホルドは、前記第一および第二内部空間のうちの一方の内部空間の周辺に隣接して配置されていることを特徴とする請求項7記載の成形装置。
- 前記マニホルドのうちの1つのマニホルドは、前記第一および第二内部空間のうちの一方の内部空間の中央に隣接して配置されていることを特徴とする請求項7記載の成形装置。
- 前記各ポートはその真空源を独立的に制御して、真空源をシートの特定部分に指向させる弁を有していることを特徴とする請求項6記載の成形装置。
- シートを第一温度に加熱する段階と、
シートをその周縁部に沿って、成形金型の第一金型半部と第二金型半部との間で保持する段階と、
シートの一方の側に真空を発生させて、シートを、前記第一および第二金型半部のうちの一方の金型半部の内部空間内に吸引する段階と、
前記第一および第二金型半部のうちの一方の金型半部の回りに配置された複数の制御可能な真空ポートを備えた真空機構により、真空源をシートの特定部分に指向させ、前記金型半部の前記内部空間内の特定位置の真空を制御して該特定位置に異なる真空圧力を発生させ、特定位置での内部空間内へのシートの吸引を増大させる段階と、
前記第一および第二金型半部のうちの一方の金型半部内でのシートの特定吸引深さが達成されたときに、シートを前記第一温度から第二温度に冷却する段階とを有することを特徴とするポリマー材料のシートの成形方法。 - 前記金型半部の周縁部の少なくとも一部に隣接する第一真空を吸引する段階を更に有することを特徴とする請求項11記載の成形方法。
- 前記内部空間の中央に隣接する第二真空を吸引する段階を更に有することを特徴とする請求項12記載の成形方法。
- 前記第一真空は第二真空より大きいことを特徴とする請求項13記載の成形方法。
- 前記特定位置で複数の独立的真空を発生させる段階を更に有することを特徴とする請求項11記載の成形方法。
- 前記特定位置での真空圧力を制御する段階を更に有することを特徴とする請求項15記載の成形方法。
- 前記内部空間内に1つ以上のマニホルドを配置しかつ前記1つ以上のマニホルドを通して真空を吸引する段階を更に有することを特徴とする請求項11記載の成形方法。
